Kanto is without a doubt, the most represented region of the Pokémon games, and for a good reason. It was the first region to appear in the games, and it also could be explored on the second generation games, and again in the third, and again on the Let's Go games. Game Freak just loves this region, that's𒀰🐼 obvious.

10 ♉ Biking In Kanto

Pokémon games are always filled with Pop-Culture re﷽ferences, and very blatant ones at that. Even at the start of the game, you'll find a movie reference as soon as you check your house's TV, as th🍨e game will pop-up a message describing a scene from the movie Stand By Me.
Mainline Pokémon games also put the 'current' Nintendo console to many NPCs' houses, including the main character's. When Pokémon Red, Blue & Green were launched, the NES was the newest Nintendo console, and if you interacted with a NES found at the Copycat's house you'll find a reference to the game Mario & Wario.
7 💮 Mewtwo Can Finally Rest ℱ
Mewtwo is one of the most known Pokémon to ever exist, and he was part of the first 151 Pokémon that appeared on the first generation of games. In the mainline Pokémon 𒅌games, Mewtwo was created as a weapon for Team Rocket, but for some reason, he escaped his𝓀 enclosure and ended up in the Cerulean Cave.
in the games is poorly developed, but if we go by this Pokémon's Pokédex entries, he was created to fight and dominate other Pokém𝄹on. So it's a blessing that the trainer caught him while exploring 💎the Cerulean Cave.
6 ꧙ Seriously Game Freak? 𓂃
If there's something that Pokémon fans know, is that Game Freak loves Kanto. This region has appeared the most, and its Pokémon often receive some kind of preferred treatment as they have priority when giving new forms and evolut🅷ions to old Pokémon.
Sure, the Kanto region was home to the first generation of Pokémon gaಌmes, but it gets tiring to see it so many times. Especially when the region 🐟receives few updates when it's shown on remakes.
5 Pionꩵeers Surely Had Style
Pokémon Let's Go was the first mainline game🔥 to let players ride their own Pokémon, without them magically morphing into another model like in previous games. Let's Go just was on a𒐪nother level, as you could ride most Pokes and they would keep their model on the overworld.
One of the most cartoon has Spongebob sitting over a regular boulder, which he uses to drive towards civilization. Onyx is a literal pile of living rocks put togeth🌳er, so maybe Spongebob was onto something.
4 Can't Unsee ⛄ ꧟
The Elite 4 is home to the most experienced trainers of a region, and they're part of the ultimate test that trainers must go through if they want to become the Pokémon Champion. Agatha is a member of Kanto's𒈔 Elite 4, and she'🦋s a Ghost-type specialist.
Barring the Elite 4 Leader and some characters in the Sun & Moon games, Elite 4 memb💛ers rarely have any ch꧃aracter development, so their story in the games is always a mystery. Maybe Agatha IS a relative of Professor Oak, we'll never know.
3 𓃲 A Timeless Quote 💙
The Pokémon games are home to many timeless 💞memes and meta-jokes, and one of them is a very infamous quote uttered by Youngster Ben on Kanto's Route 3. This young boy challenges the player while telling him how much he loves shorts.
This seemingly random quote somehow achieved meme-status, and a variation of it has appeared on every mainline Pokémon game. Seriously, it doesn't matter which Pokémon game you're playing, an NPC is going to tell y𝓰ou how comfy shorts are, and it's all thanks to this guy.
2 🦋 Wait, What? ꦛ
Game Freak has always been very careful with their 2D art, just look at Dialga and Palkia statues in Eterna City, ☂where both statues have the same composition, but they look different due to their colors.
And just like these statues, some 2D sprites can be seen in many different ways thanks to the power of confusing shadows, like trees that look like angry buff men. Hopefully, you will soon forget what these things look like, as they're pretty hard thi🌞ngs to unseeꩲ.

Porygon is a pretty infamous Pokémon, as he starred on an episode that caused seizures on epileptic viewers in Japan. This event was so bad for Nintendo -and the viewers, of 💝course-, that Porygon and its evolutions were banned from having a prominent role in the Pokémon anime.
Anyway, one of Porygon's ability is Trace, which makes it copy the ability of the opposing Pokémon, and one of Machop's ability is called Guts -as in courageous or brave-, which makes him stronger when it receives a stat♛us condition. Maybe Porygon didn't do proper research before tracing Machop...
