Of all the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:gym leaders in Kanto, Sabrina the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Psychic-type specialist may be one of the most interesting, particularly in her anime and manga versions. Often portrayed as a quiet but powerful trainer, she is most well known for her part in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon ♒anime where she turns the 💫main characters into dolls.
As a remake of the generation one games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee brings Sabrina back as one of the harder gym leaders in the game𝓡, though drops most of the darkness surrounding her character in favor of mystery.
10 🍸ꦍ Her Slowbro
Unlike many of the other gym leaders in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, Sabrina's team has been altered heavily from her original team in Red and Blue. While she has used a Jynx in the past, most notably in her rematch teams, the Slowbro that is a part of her main team is something she hasn't used very often. The last time Sabrina had one on her team was in Pokémon Stadium 2, where she♛ has a Slowbro with Fire Blast and Earthquake as coverage moves.
9 𝓀 Her Pokemon Stadium 2 Te🐼am Is Weird
The gym leaders' teams in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Stadium tend to have Pokémon outside of their type specialty, usually as a counter to whatever their main Pokémon are weak to. Sabrina, on the other hand, doesn't follow this and uses a Scizor, Typhlosion, Sandslash, and Hitmonlee alongside her Alakazam and Slowking. While the Scizor and Hitmonlee are good counters to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark-type Pokémon, the Typhlosion and Sandslash make a little less sense, with their only real use in being counters to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Steel-type Pokémon, which can be countered by Alakazam's Fire Punch and Slowking's E🐻arthquake.
8 ᩚᩚℱᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Her Let's Go Design
Sabrina has had some major redesigns over the years, particularly as the Pokémon timeline has moved forward. Her design in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, however, is probably the closest she has ever looked to her original design in Red and Blue as well as the anime.
This isn't unusual for Pokémon to do this, but it does make her design quite different from the concept art seen in Red and Blue as well as Yellow's full-sized design.
7 ✅ The Questionable Red & Blue Design Choice
In the generation one games, Sabrina's final design for her character has one small detail that is often forgotten about when players think about her, but adds a disturbing layer to her character. During her gym battle, she is seen holding a whip, which was an early development choice to have humans fight Pokémon themselves as well as their team partners. This was eventually dropped in the games, but the manga took this concept and 🗹ran with it throughout all of the generation one manga titles.
6 ♓ Sabrina's Very Dark Manga Tale
Unlike the games and anime, the Pokémon manga is significantly darker and unlike anything close to what the more mainstream stories address. One tale that is particularly dark is Sabrina's in The Electric Tale of Pikachu, where she is a kindhearted Psychic-type gym leader, unlike her anime counterpart. This version runs a gym in the mountains with her Abra, the only one of her team left after the rest were killed by a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:giant Haunter by the name of Black Fog, who kills both Pokémon and humans by sucking out their souls with Dream Eater. If that wasn't bad enough, she also falls victim to the Haunter before being saved🐻 by Ash and her Abra.
5 She Was🃏 A Part Of Team Rocket 🅺
In the Red, Green & Blue chapters of Pokémon Adventures another manga based on the video games, Sabrina is portrayed more like her anime and video game version, but with one slight difference. Sabrina, and a handful of other gym leaders from Kanto, are a part of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Team Rocket and actively fight against the protagonists on multiple occasions. She eventually goes back to her gym leader duties and sꦦevered her ties to the evil team, but not before being a major nuisance t👍o the main characters.
4 Her Post-Gym Career ౠ
In both the manga and the video games, Sabrina didn't stay a gym leader forever. This can be seen in both the Black and White chapter of Pokémon Adventures as well as Black 2 and White 2, where she appears in Pokéstar Studios.
Following her stint in Kanto, Sabrina moveꦡd to the Unova region for a major career change from♑ gym leader to star actor. This is the only time in any version of her character that she doesn't use a Pokémon from the Abra line, as she is seen with a Woobat and Swoobat instead.
3 Her Un❀ique Anime Status
The first season of Pokémon was weird in many ways since it hadn't decided whether it would follow the more grounded aspects of the games or the more fantastical stories from the manga. Because of this, there are many strange things🅰 happening in Kanto during Ash's adventure, including him dying while trying to find a Haunter to defeat Sabrina and earn her badge. This Haunt🎃er, in particular, was unique, in that it was the first time a gym leader was given a Pokémon by one of the main characters. The only other time this has happened in the anime is when James gave Gardenia, Sinnoh's Grass-type gym leader, his Cacnea so she could bring out its full potential.
2 Her Vision Of The Future 🃏
Unlike the generation one games, players are able to rematch the gym leaders after they have defeated the Elite Four and become Champion. These rematches add a new layer of difficulty and some new dialogue from the gym leaders, with one of them being Sabrina. After defeating her in the rematch, she says that "I won't encounter another trainer like you for around another three years", which is a direct reference to the player character in Gold and Silver, the events of which take place three years after the events of Red and Blue.
1 H𝄹er Signature Pokemon
Like many of the Kanto gym leaders, Sabrina makes many returns to the series both in the mainline games as well as its spin-off, most notably in Pokémon Stadium. While her team changes between games to line up with the Pokémon available in that region, there is one Pokémon line that she always has. No matter what other Pokémon are on her team, she will always have either Abra, Kadabra, or Alakazam, ❀a Pokémon line that she is fond of in the anime, video games, and the manga.
