9 ﷽ Pewter City

Pewter City is where theꦛ player encounters their first Gym. Brock fights with Rock Pokémon, so having grass or water Pokémon is highly suggested. There’s a Bulbasaur in the Viridian Forest that’s perfect for t🧜his matchup.

There’s also a museum in town that has a rear entrance accessed with the move C꧟ut, which is obtained later on. A s👍cientist will gift the player with Old Amber that will be used in Cinnabar Island later on. It’s important to learn typing matchups in this city and start developing a balanced team of different types moving forward.

8 Cerulean City ꦕ

Cerulean City is where the second Gym is located and it’s ent💛irely Water based. Again, Bulbasaur is a handy Pokémon to have here. If the player didn’t get one in Viridian forest then an old woman will gift one to the player if they have 30 Pokémon in their Pokédex.

6 Laven𒀰der Town

Lavender Town is where the Pokémon Cemetery is located, though it can’t be traversed until the player has a Silph Scope, which 💖is found in Saffron City later on. Inside are several Ghost-type Pokémon, so hav𝄹ing some of the Alolan Pokémon from earlier towns with Dark moves will be very helpful here.

This area has a ton of items for𒐪 the player to obtain from various NPCs so it pays to talk to and battle everyone. Ghost-type Pokémon are also powerful in this game, so the player should make sure to grab one or two before abandoning the town entirely.

5 🌺 Celadon City

The fourth Gym is located here and it’s packed with Grass types. Having the Charmander or Arcanine from earlier helps a lot. There’s a Fortune Teller that can determine the Nature of all Pokémon ♐found in the wild, which is really useful. The Rocket Game Corner can be used to pick up unique Pokémon and s🐼ome cash.

A move tutor is located here to teach more moves for the player’s partner Pokémon. But the real prize of Celadon ꧅City is the massive Department Store whe💧re a ton of useful items can be purchased.

4 🌠 Saffron 🐻City

Saffron City has a Fighting Dojo where the play▨er can grab a fighting Pokémon after beating the gauntlet of trainers there. An Alolan Raichu can be traded for as w𒅌ell, and it comes with powerful psychic moves that are handy for many fights in this game.

There are a lot of thing⭕s to do on this Island. The Gym is full 𝓀of Fire-types, and between Lures and Sea Skim there are tons of ways to get strong Water-types. The Lab is where the player can take Old Amber, Dome and Helix Fossils to be revived into living Pokémon.

The most inte༒resting part of this island is the mini-dungeon, Pokémon Mansion. It contains an interesting bit of lore and a number of powerful🐽 Fire-type Pokémon can be caught here.
