Game Freak have held a secret press conference in Japan that has outlined the next few titles in the Pokémon series to will be released in 2018. These have been announced via updates on the official Pokémon , which has been updating throughout the day.

We have finally been given confirmation that the leaks of the past few weeks were true, as Game Freak has officially announced that Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Pokémon Let's Go Eevee will be coming to the Nintendo Switch for a worldwide🥃 release on November 16th.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee are spinoffs of the main Pokémon series and will have heavy integration with Pokémon Go. These games are based on Pokémon Yellow, where the main character was given a Pikachu fo﷽r a starter and their rival u♎sed an Eevee.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee will be set in the Kanto region and will feature returning characters from the original generation of Pokémon games, including Professor Oak and Team Rocket.

The catching mechanics in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Let's Go Eevee seem to be identical to Pokémon Go, with the player using a Joy-Con to simulate the act of throwing a Poké Ball at a wild Pokémon. There is also a Poké Ball peripheral that can be purchased that acts in𝔉 a similar manner to the Joy-Con. This Poké Ball can be used to carry the data of a Pokémon so that you can take it over ܫto a friend in order to trade with them. You will also be able to hear the Pokémon's distinctive cries while it is inside the Poké Ball.

It's possible for two players to work together in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Pokémon Let's Go Eevee, as each person can use a Joy-Con in order to try and capture a🏅 Pokémon.

We didn't see much of the battle system in the trailer for the game, which suggests that the leaks about the game which stated that it used an updated version of Pokémon Go's battle system are true. This is likely to turn off a l﷽꧃ot of hardcore Pokémon fans, but Game Freak has stated that these titles are spinoffs and won't be replacing the core games in the series.

Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Pokémon Let's Go Eevee will be able to connect with Pokémon Go so that you can trade Pokémon between t♈he two games. These Pokémon are limited to the ones from th💜e Kanto region for the time being.

The version of ෴the game that you buy will determine which starter Pokémon you will use throughout the game. You will be able to customize your Pikachu and Eevee with a selection of ou🌼tfits, which will be a first for the series.

The trailer also showed the player character riding around on an Onix, a Lapras, and a Charizard. The player character was also shown with other Pokémon following them around on the field (like Gengar) which means that the following mechanic from Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver will be making a comeback.

The trailer ended wit🔯h a present that seemed to cꦰontain a special Pokémon. This was confirmed on Twitter as being a brand new Pokémon that is being introduced in the games.
