Mega evolution was introduced well after the release of Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. This power-up phenomenon was a way for trainers to push past the🧸 limits of their power and bond with their partners. While it's still too early to say whether we'll see this as a mechanic in the upcoming Sinnoh remakes Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it's a definite possibility.
This is because mega evolution was used in the Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee games which were essentially 🐲remakes of Pokemon Yellow. If mega evolution will be included, this opens up the potential that some of the region's Pokemon (not including the ones who already do) could get mega forms of their own. Psychic would be the main choice because Luxray has the power to sell through walls and such, so it would pair perfectly with its electric power. Not to mention the Kalos gym leader Clemont had one in the anime. This opens up the possibility for a Pokemon X&Y remake somewhere down the line where players could see C💯lemont using a mega Luxray.

Giving Purugly a mega evolution would be perfect to amplify the battles with Mars, giving players the difficulty that they are always whining and begging for. Evolution by definition is changing in order to adapt, so it would make a lot of sense for Lumineon to get one step ahead of its competitor. Not to mention it would take less damage frꦫom other electric types after that.

Weavile is one of the most popular Pokemon with fans so giving it a mega evolution for that reason alone would make sense. Any Pokemon that 'sells' is always going to have first priority when it comes to getting new forms. Designs cost money, effort, and time so the only ones worth making are the ones that are 🌌going to bring in revenue to cover the investment that went into making it. Seeing as it is quite the intelligent one, it's easy to picture becoming an Ice/Psychic-type when evolving or even just completely a Da☂rk-type.

Legendaries have gott♓en mega evolutions before so the mascots of Diamond and Pearl will most likely be granted s💯ome kind of new forms.
Dialga꧑ and Palkia are key elements in the story of Sinnoh and while the plot involving Team Galactic pro🐈bably won't change all that much, new forms could be an element used for a plot device to freshen up the tale.

Vespiqueen would have a beautiful mega form resembling that of a monarch since she is themed after a queen bee. Once upon a time, Bug-types suffered from what is basically early game unit syndrome, meaning they stopped being useful up to a certain point in the playthrough. This was because all Bug-type moves were physical up until generation four when some of them were changed to special. After the launch of the second generation, players wondered when and if we could one day see an evolution for the popular Gligar. Gliscor came with Sinnoh and it was every bit as fabulous as people had hoped fo✤r.
He wou൲ld look excellent with a Sౠteel-type mega form themed after a kaiju-style monster. Gliscor's defense is already pretty high so becoming a Steel-type would only increase his defense and give him an advantage against Ice-types as well.
