10  You Pick First, I Insist

Ah, Blue, that guy that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:literally waits for you to pick your first Pokémon so he can pick the one that has an advant𝓡age against yours. When you first start your game, Blue comes out as the player character’s cocky neighbor who wants to be the very best, or at least, better than him.

He eventually gets out of his edgy phase and turns into Red’s cocky best-friend when he’s beaten at the E4 thanks to the power of character development. He isn’t that bad after all, he just wante🐓d to be better than you.

9 Silver's Crime Spree

This guy is literally everything wrong in the Pokémon world, seriously. He starts his adventure by robbing one of Pro🧜fessor Birch’s leftover Pokémon, which coincidentally is always the one your first Pokémon is weak against.

This guy’s crime list is as long as Mew’s move pool, well, not quit🎶e that long, but still. He blows your cover when you’re trying to pass as a Team Rocket Member, steals two Pokémon, tries to shove you out of the way on more than one occasion, and the list goes on, how is this guy not in jail?

8 Pokémon’s First Friendly Rival

Among the many things that the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:3rd generation games changed for the better, is the implementation of rivals that aren’t just there to ruin your day. May is a genuinely good person that’ll try her best to help you, and just battles yo✅u to have fun and test herself.

Her character arc gets way more interesting in the ORAS games,𒁏 as she gets to show more about ꦇwhat she likes and wants. Oh and she also heals your Pokémon after battling you, that’s how nice she is.

7 Pokémon’s Second Friendly Rival

It’s kind of interesting how the second rival that isn’t a complete bully to you also comes from the 3rd gen games. Wally starts as just another amateur trainer who looks for a Pokémon because his parents think it’ll be better for his health༒.

He quickly catches and befriends a Ralts that becomes his most▨ trusted Pokémon. Sure enough, his parent’s plan works and he becomes happier and he♊althier due to his closeness with his Pokémon. As a rival, he just wants to make sure that he’s doing a good job as a trainer.

6 Prepare To Get Sued

Through the Pokémon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games, Barry charges into everything and everyone, and due to his obliviousness he thinks that♔ he can demand payment from the people he crashes with.

His attitude probably comes from him being the son of Palmer, the leader of the Battle Tower, and also a Frontier Brain, as he wants to be as good of a trainer as his father is which is why😼 he acts so determined. Fun fact: His father also has the tendency to run into people🔯.

5 Character Development Does It Again

Cheren, just like any other rival, starts his journe🎉y at the same time you do. He too wants to become the Pokémon champion to prove his own strength, but at some point in the game he start to rethink his own path.

In Pokémon Black 2 & White 2, Cheren becomes a Normal-type specialist and also🧸 the Gym Leader of Aspertia City’s Gym. He certainly fits this role very well, as he’s a more knowledgeable individual and likes to give advice to those who need it.

4 No One Hates Bianca

Well, maybe Cheren hates her a little. But it’s kind of funny how Bianca is classified as a rival even though she’s just there to cheer her friends. Despite her joyful attitude, she’s shown to be a strong girl who stands for her ideals, as she went out of her house to have her own 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon adventure despite her father’s disapproval. In the Gen V sequels, she's the one that gꦉifts starter Pokémon to those who begin 𒈔their adventures.

3 Hugh’s Two Obsessions

When Hugh was first revealed to the public in the Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 animated trailer, many fans thought that his edgy design meant that he was going to be a more evil-like rival just like Silver was, 🅺but that was far from the truth.

Hugh is kind of a nice, ꦺalbeit angry, rival, and he fights for what he believes is right and thrives a lot to make justice 🦂for those who can defend themselves. Sadly, the Pokémon community misunderstood his character arc, which coupled with his repetitive dialogue made him look like an angry teen obsessed with his sister’s Purrloin.

2 The Edgiest Rival Ever

People who’ve played Pokémon Sun and Moon long enough will inevitably start to associat﷽e the word “edge” with Gladion. Seriously, this♓ kid is so edgy that he’s probably able to use the HM Cut using his own hands.

But just like many bullies in real life, he just has mommy issues. He just tries hard to become stronger so he can stop her mother from end💎ing the world, and because he wants to free his Pokémon from the restraining helmet that his mother’s foundation put over its face.

1 But This Usually Works…

There are two types of players: Those who carefully read every bit of text and dialogue they see, and those who just smash the A bu🎉tton until something exciting happens. The button smashing tactic always makes games less im𓆉mersive and way more confusing, but luckily, our friendly rival Hau is there to stop us.

⭕Hau is the most well-rounded rival the Pokémon games have ever seen. He’s friendly to you but he’s also very competitive, and wants to become the Pokémon Champion but he won't refrain from helping you. If that wasn’t enough, he’ll also try to take the Champion Title from you after you’ve beaten the game, he literally never gives up.
