Over the past two decades, the Pokémon franchise has grown exponentially. When the original Generat🍰ion I games released, fans worldwide were given a new fascination with the series which focused on collecting, trading, and battling the creatures th🥃is franchise introduced them to.

As of 2020, we have entered the eighth generation of Pokémon which includes the main titles, multiple spinoffs, an anime series, trading card game, toys, collectibles, and more. Through all of this, we’ve learned much about how the Pokémon universe works. We know which🐽 moves are strongest, how to b🅰oost stats, which competitive teams will be most effective, and so on. Here are ten things we still haven’t managed to learn about Pokémon items.

10 🍎 How Does The Bla🦄ck Belt Work?

Certain items can be held by Pokémon i💎n order to strengthen certain abilities. They typically represent the stat which they boost or the type of attacks which they boost. Before moving to more broad terms, we want to examine 💞the Black Belt first.

In martial arts, a black belt is typically earned. It represents hard work and dedication to a certain style. The person who has earned it is just as talented without it. In Pokémon games, there is an item which can be held by Pokémon ꦡknown as Black Belt which boosts the power of Fighting type moves. How does it do this? It hasn’t been earned by that Pokémon, nor does it represent mastery. It seems to simply be a regular black belt.

9 Where Are Items Held🎐? ♊

We know the Black Belt is likely worn by a Pokémon who is holding it. That makes sense. Some items, however, seem a bit cumbersome. Think about a Quick Claw or a Magnet. Where are they held? Are they actively involved in the attack? We would think that the latter is y🐼es, but we don’t know.

Some items seem likely to be worn. Scarfs are apparel items, as are Heavy-Duty Boots. Laying aside the꧒ concern that many of these might not be the proper size for all Pokémon who hold them, there is a cl꧑ear concern that these would get in the way of an attack.

8 𝓡 How Do Evolution Items Work?

Yes, we’re still on held items because there’s a ton to unpack here. Next we want to examine items such as Metal Coat and King’s 🌄Rock which cause Pokémon to evolve if they are holding the item while they are traded to another trainer. These items can be considered manufactured, so how do they interact with the genetic code of a Pokémon in a manner which would cause them to evolve?

F🍌urthermore, why is this exclusive to when they are traded to another trainer? If the Pokémon is naturally capable of evolution, it can be assumed that they would evolve under certain conditions. But the inclusion of manufactured items seems to indicate that humans are capable of manipulating their very genetic code.

7 How Does The Everstone Work? ♔

Everstone is an interesting item. Handing it to a Pokémon will ensure that they do not evolve into a new fo♍rm. Additionally, breeding a Pokémon who is holding an Everstone will have an impact on breeding results with that Pokémon.

We don’t know how any of that works. We know the result, but we don’t know🔴 why. We don’t know whether this item is natural or manufactured. We know that it is a stone of some sort, but we don’ꦕt know where it comes from or why it is so widely available. We just know it works.

6 How Do Repellents꧙ Work & Why Do They Exist?

Shifting gears a bit, we want to examine Repel. Why? Because our goal is to take care of Pokémon and train them. We are told that we are to befriend Pokémon and treat them kindly. This is what marks a great trainer. Ye🌜t we always keep a stock of these items in our bag in order to avoid encounters in areas like caves.

How do they work, though? Are we simply scaring them off with a smell or a sound? Based on the icons, these items appear to come in a can and look like bug spray. It isꦉ neither friendly to Pokémon or to the environment if we are simply spraying poison everywhere we go.

5 🌃 What Is A Rare Candy Made Of?

Speaking of ingredients we don’t know, what exactly goes into that Rare Candy you just fed your Growlithe? We know that these candies boost the levels of Pokémon, but we don’t know why or how. Furth🤡er, we don’t exactly know how trainers would be aware of the levels gained since there isn’t a physical representation of levels in Pokémon themselves.

We’re all for this uncommon growth supplement. It can be a useful way to boost a new Pokémon to fighting shape. We’re just wondering whether or not all we’re actually doing is🙈 pumping our Pokémon pals full of manufactured steroids.

4 ꦯ Why Are Some Items So Expensive?

The Pokémon economy is pretty logical for the most part. Great Balls cost more than Poké Balls, Ultra Balls are higher still, evolution stones are expensive🤡 and so forth. What doesn’t make sense are items like Nuggets which sell for obscene amounts and have no other purpose than to be sold.

Maybe a Nugget is a bad example. That can be melted down and used for materials. How about the Strange Souvenir? We understand the purpose to foreshadow a new region. The item did nothing though except sell for a high value. And why should it? 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:T🍒he Alola region ha𓃲s tons of fun mysteries, but it isn’t inaccessible or unknown. Further, it wouldn’t be unknown to residents of the Pokémo♒n ♓world. So why the hefty price tag?

3 Why Is The Pokédex Always Empty?♈

With every new generation of Pokémon games, we get a new professor sending us on our journey with a new Pokémon companion and a new Pokédex to fill out. Each generation, this Pokédex is empty – but why? We know that these Pokémon aren’t uℱndiscover🌠ed. Several trainers are seen with them throughout our adventures.

We could understand if the Pokédex was listed as a checklist for our personal collections. It would have to be blank for accurate tracking. But why is it always ready to give ﷽Ash information on Pokémon he hasn’t captured yet? Something doesn’t add up.

2 How Do Poké Balls Reꦏally Work?

We understand that the Master Ball is amazing new technology, but we’re at a loss for how exactly it manages to do its job. We could have a better explanation if we under🗹stood how even regular Poké Balls work. They all capture a monster much larger and trap it inside.

If the force inside becomes energy, they shouldn’t be able to break free. If it isn’t energy, it shouldn’t fit. And how is the Master Ball always successful no matter how strong the Pokémon? What gives it thiಌs success and why has it still not been mass produced in any region?

1 ♛ What Is Lifಌe Like Inside A Poké Ball?

We end this list with the age-old question. Not only don’t we understand how the various balls work, we have no clue ൩what life is like inside of them. We don’t even know if there even is an interior or if the Pokémon are simply transported to some alternate dimension.

Many have speculated that the interior of Poké Balls might be the Pokémon’s dream escape. That’s possible, but why do Pokémon like certain balls more than others if so? Or why wouldn’t 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ash's Pikachu love being insi𒊎de its Poké Ball? There are too many variables and we💧 only have speculation for now.
