With each generation of Pokémon, there is a villainous ꦓorganization whom the player must battle and stop throughou🦹t their journey to becoming the Pokémon Champion. The most recognizable villain team has to be Team Rocket, led by the one and only Giovanni.
As both the boss of Team Rocket and the Viridian Gym Leader, Giovanni faces off against the player on multiple occasions across multiple generations. While his six-member team changes from battle to battle, he is known for specializing in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ground-type Pokémon, such as Rhyperior and Nidoking, along with several Pokémon of other type♉s. Giovanni has a good eye for powerful Pokémon, though some of his overpower the rest.
10 Onix
In the first generation games, Onix is one of the Pokémon Giovanni uses in his first battle against the player at the Rocket Hideout. Because Onix is not a fully evolved Pokémon, it's difficult for it to compete with the rest of Giovanni's ✤team.
If it were evolved into Steelix, it would be much bulkier as dual Steel/Ground-type. However, as a Rock/Ground-type, Onix is exceptionally vulnerable to Grass and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water moves. This unfortunately hinders i꧙ts survivability on the field.
9 Persian

While it's quite speedy, the rest of Persian's stats aren't tꦕhat great for a fully evolved Pokémon. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it can take advantage of the STAB boost it gets from common Normal-type moves like Slash. It also carries Pay Day to give Giovanni some extra cash.
8 Dugtrio
Like Persian, Dugtrio is very fast. In fact, it has one of the highest Speed stats amongst Giovanni's Pokémon. To pair with its 120 base Speed, Dugtrio's Attack stat is decent at 100. This means that Dugtrio ꦏwill often be fast enough to strike first with a powerful Earthquake.
Alternatively, Giovanni's Dugtrio may carry Fissure, a one-hit knockout move that can give him a quick and easy advantage. With a more passive appro🦹ach, Giovanni could also use Dugtrio to setup a Sandstorm to support its Ground-type allies.
7 Marowak
In rare instances, Giovanni might use a Marowak on his tea♍m. On its own, Marowak has a decent defense and physical attack. However, if it holds the Thick Club, its Attack stat doubles from 80 to 160, which can prove to be extremely powerful.
What seems to hold Marowak back is its slow speed. With a base Speed of 45, it is unlikely to outspeed any of its opponents, meaning it has to survive𓆏 a hit before it can hit back.
6 Nidoqueen
Giovanni has a Nidoqueen and Nidoking, both of which he will commonly use in battle. The two Poison/Ground-types are pretty similar in terms o🗹f stats, but Nidoqueen is slightly more balanced than its male counterparꦺt.
All of Nidoqueen's stats range from 75 to 92, which is average but not great. Still, this means Nidoqꦛueen has versatility on how Giovanni chooses to use it. In certain battles, Nidoqueen can either be a physical, special, or mixed♊ attacker.
5 Honchkrow
Featured only in Giovanni's HeartGold & SoulSilver battle at To🐼hjo Falls, Honchkrow is one of t♛he most unique members on the team. It certainly does not fit the Ground-type theme, but its sinister title as the "Big Boss Pokémon" couldn't be more fitting for the Team Rocket leader.
According to its stats, Honchkrow hits much harder on the physical side than the special side. Despite this, Giovanni's Honchkrow is made to be a special attack🎃er with Nasty Plot 💙to power up its Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball.
4 Nidoking
Compared to Nidoqueen, Nidoking focuses more on offense at ✤the expense of defense. While Nidoqueen has more HP, Defense, and Special Defense, Nidoking has more Attack, Special Attack, and Speed.
With more offensive pressure, Nidoking can dish out great damage with STAB boosted moves such 𝐆as Earthquake and Poison Jab. To hit on the special side, Nidoking can instead opt to use Earth Power, Sludge Wave, and a coupl🅰e of moves for type coverage.
3 ♏ Kangaskhan ☂
Despite not being a Ground-type Pokémon that Gi🌌ovanni specializes in, Kangaskhan is a great member of his team who's made se𝐆veral appearances since the first generation.
As it is, Kangaskhan is a reliable physical attack with decent bulk. However, if Giovanni happens to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mega Evolve his Kangaskhan at the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Battle Agen💮cy, his opponent better wat✤ch out. Thanks to Mega Kangaskhan's Ability, Parental Bond, it can hit twice with every attack.
2 Rhyperior
In almost every variation of Giovanni's team, he uses either a Rhyhorn, Rhydon, or Rhyperior. While this evolution line has extreme weaknesses to Grass, Water, and other special attacks, Rhyperior is no doubt one of the stars൲ of Giovanni's team.
The majority of Rhyperior's stats are in its physical Attack, Defense, and HP, making it the ultimate physical attacker and tank. In combination with Earthquake and Stone Edge, Giovanni's Rhyperior is likely to wreak havoc if the opponent doesn't come prepared with a powerful Water or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grass-type.
1 Mewtwo
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Giovanni makes a grand return as the leader of Team Rainbow Roc♌ket in Alola. For that all-important battle, it's only fitting for him to have tꦬhe legendary Mewtwo in his possession.
As if regular Mewtwo isn't strong enough, Giovanni will also opt to Mega Evolve it into either Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y. Regardless, Mega Mewtwo is one of the strongest Pokémon around who can wipe out the opponent with a powerful Psychiܫc attack if they aren't careful.
