168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Red & Blue are coming up on the 25th anniversary of their release in the coming years and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon franchise shows no sign of slowing down. The games are known for the fantastical creatures that evolve, but they also happen to have a host of interesting, relatable, and mysterious characters that trainers meet along their journey to becoming Pokémon Champion. Who are the best and worst of the bunch, though? Let's now look at the 5 best and 5 worst non-playable characters in Pokémon Red & Blue.

10 🌃 Lame: Blaine 🌳

Blaine is lame simply as a product of poor game design, and it has nothing to do with his specific design or character. He's the second to last gym leader players face in the game before they take on the Elite Four, so he should serve quite the challenge. His team of only 4 Pokémon is comprised of a Rapidash, Arcanine, Growlithe, and Ponyta. Where's the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Charizard, Ninetaleღs, or Magmar that could have rounded oꩲut a red hot Fire-type team meant to challenge players on their way to becoming Kanto's Pokémon Champion?

9 💧 Cool: Professo𝓡r Oak

If you've played the original games then the case for Professor Oak being one of the coolest characters in the game isn't one that needs to be strong-armed. He's ꦐresponsible for you getting the opportunity to journey out into the Kanto region and grow into a capable and formidable Pokémon trainer. Oak is willing to answer your questions and even lets you choose wh♔ich starter Pokémon you'd like to accompany you. It seems that he appreciates your kindness thanks in large part to his grandson being rude and ungrateful.

8 Lame: Bluඣe

Though he made the list due to being lame, some respect must be given to Blue for having one of the toughest teams players w🎶ill face in the game when he's chal𝐆lenged for the title of Pokémon Champion.

Outside 🤡of that he happens to be into Pokémon training for all of the wrong reasons and sees the creatures as tools. For﷽ a kid with a Pokémon Professor as a grandfather, he's also extremely ungrateful and doesn't recognize how generous and brilliant his own grandfather is. Blue is pretty lame, all things considered.

7 🎐 Cool: Brock

The appreciation for Brock as both a gym leader and a character, in general, has grown over the years. It seems developers knew most people would lean towards Charmander as their starter and put Brock🐠 in their way as a literal and figurative brick wall. He was a bit of a womanizer in the anime, but his heart was in the right place when it cam🦋e to Pokémon. Most of the love for him comes from the anime, but that doesn't mean his stoic nature in the games is meaningless. He represents Pewter City well.

6 Lame: K🎐oga 𝐆

The idea of a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Poison-type gym leader ꧑who is heavily inspired by ninjas sounds incredibly cool on paper. That's not exactly the energy that Koga exudes, however. A𒉰s the Fuchsia City gym leader, Koga doesn't do his part in being a tough gym leader.

The Elite Four's Agatha has a Poison-type team that makes Koga's look childish at best. It's likely that he finds this out as well and uses it as inspiration which leads him to become a member of the Johto region's Elite Four in Pokémon Gold & Silver.

5 🙈 ꦫ Cool: Erika

Kids who picked Charmander will likely roll their eyes at this entry, as Erika was likely irrelevant to them in the grand scheme of things thanks to an advantageous type matchup. For everyone else, it was clear that she was meant to be the non-playable character that expressed kindness and 🔜empathy. In many ways, despite both of them being genuine, Erika and Misty are the💯 antitheses of one another when it comes to their personalities. You don't have to be aggressive to be cool, and Erika proves that.

4 Lame: Giovanni ও

You would think that the leader of Team Rocket and the final gym leader you face before taking on the Elite Four would be an amazing character. It turns out that Giovanni is nothing more🃏 than an Italian caricature of a mob boss who's every bit as overconfident and oblivious. It's a shame that he happens to be focused on Ground-type Pokémon as fans would have enjoyed seeing his infamous Persian from the anime alongside him. How are you a Ground-type master and none of your Pokémon know the move Earthquake?

3 🔯 Cool: Lance

Does Lance come across as a vampire of sorts in the original games? Sure, that's a valid observation. He also happens to be a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dragon tamer and packs quite the team in the Elite Four. Lance has this presence about himself that gives off a feeli👍ng of mystery and intrigue. He never comes across as cocky or mean, but rather as a man who's ready to face any challenge that life throws at him. He also happens to be one of the few characters with a reoccurring role, and players loved running into him in the sequels.

2 💟 Lame: 🃏Cerulean Burglars

When you first ent𓃲er Cerulean City you're quickly overwhelmed with its size and population in comparis♋on to the places you've already visited. Bullies and burglars are very similar in the sense that they are cowards, who when confronted often fold under the pressure.

The burglars who broke into the home in Cerulean City are the same way and showcase how vile Team Rocket can be. The world of Pokémon is rather fantastical 🧸and players seeing a real-world crime make the immersion a lot more palpab🅠le.

1 Cool:✅ Lt. Surge 🍰

At first glance, you'd assume that Lt. Surge is the typical army bro or gym rat that values physical strength above all else. You come to realize that this military veteran is much more complex than that and even goes out of his way to contextualize a great war that happened. Fans have speculated for years what this war w💧as, but no official clarification has ever been given. He also happens to look really cool and the designers did a great job of making him feel🅘 like a powerful trainer at a glance.
