The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon games have featured countless trainers over the years, from rivals to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gym Leaders. One o💧f the most familiar faces among all trainers has to be Red, due to his similarities with the anime's protagonist, Ash Ketchum.
In the first generation, Red is the player's character who has just set out on his Pokémon journey. Since then, he's become a legend, occasionally spotted in the post-game of newer generations as one of the toughest opponents in the game. When he is first encountered in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon at the Battle Tree, his team consists of Pikac✱hu, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Lapras, and Snorlax. Despite keeping it diverse and well-balanced, some team members are clearly better than others.
6 Pikachu
Like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ash Ketchum, Red's signature Pokémon is none other than the beloved franchise mascot, Pikachu. Contrary to how powerful the anime portrays it, however, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Electric-type mouse is actually quite weak in the games compared to the rest of𒈔 its teammates. This is due to the fact that it hasn't evolved into th🦩e much stronger Raichu.
At the same time, Red has his Pi🌠kachu hold the Light Ball, which doubles its Attack and Special Attack stat. This technically gives it🎃 a little more damage output than an itemless Raichu but still doesn't help its frail defenses. At its best, Pikachu might be speedy enough to use one powerful Volt Tackle before being taken down by a single Ground-type attack. For that reason, Red opts to leave his Pikachu out after the initial Battle Tree battle.
5 Lapras
Red has two 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-types on his💞 team, Lapras and Blastoise, who are fairly similar in terms of base stats. While they are both bulky team members, Lapras has twice as many weaknesses to consider and slightly less offensive potential.
In most cases at the Battle Tree, Red's Lapras will carry strong Water and Ice-type attacks and a couple of other moves for coverage like Psychic. Although it won't hit as hard as the other members, Lapras' high HP stat will allow it to survive multiple hits while it slowly chips away at the opponents. Its Ability, Wa🍨ter Absorb, also isn't the best but can be used to protect its teammate Charizard by swapping into an incoming Water attack.
4 Blastoise
Like Lapras, Blastoise is a Water-type whose stats are concentrated more on defense than offense. The edge that Blastoise might have on Lapras is its Water-boosting Ability, Torrent, and its potential 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mega Evolution. With Torrent, the damage output of𒁏 Waඣter-type attacks will be greatly increased if Blastoise's HP is at a third or less.
However, if Blastoise is Mega Evolved, its Ability changes along with its stats. Unlike its regular form, Mega Blastoise has an outstanding Special Attack stat to pair perfectly with its new Ability, Mega Launcher. Meꦑga Launcher boosts all of Blastoise's aura and pulse moves of which it can have a full moveset. It also only has two weaknesses in Electric and Grass, meaning it can stick around for quite some time while launching powerful Water Pulses and Au𒉰ra Spheres.
3 Venusaur
In terms of its stats, Venusaur excels on the special side of both offense and defense while the rest of its stats are very balanced. With its high Special Attack stat, Red's Venusaur carries special moves with a few tricks up its sleeve. As a Grass/Poison dual-type, one can expect to see Sludge Bomb and a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:powerful Grass attack like Leaf Storm.
In addition, Red's Venusaur comm𝔍only carries Leech Seed, which slo▨wly drains the opponent's HP while healing the user each turn. In less offensive movesets, it might also have Toxic to badly poison its opponent and Synthesis to heal its own HP. If it is Mega Evolved, Venusaur becomes much more defensive all around, especially with its Ability, Thick Fat, which reduces the damage of two of its weaknesses in Fire and Ice.
2 Snorlax
As one can imagine from Snorlax's enormous size, it is Red's b𒊎u🐽lkiest team member who can take plenty of special hits before falling in battle. With its natural bulk and high Attack stat, Snorlax is the perfect Pokémon for either stalling or setting up at the Battle Tree.
If Red wants to stall his opponent out, S🌌norlax can constantly restore its own HP by recycling Berries or using Rest if the opponent can't get past its defenses. For a more offensive approach, Snorlax can start by maximizing its Attack stat with Belly Drum at the cost of half its HP. Fꦗrom there, Snorlax will be able to do massive damage to just about anything it faces.
1 Charizard
Out of the three original starters on Red's Team, Charizard is the one that is most geared toward offense. While it might not have the best defenses, it's speedy with great Special Attack. This means it 🎶can often outspeed♊ its opponent and land a powerful attack right out the gate.
If Red chooses to Mega Evolve his Charizard, he has two different options with Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y. Mega Charizard X becomes part Dragon-type, primarily hitting on the physical side with Flare Blitz and Dragon Rush. Meanwhile, Mega Charizard Y can set up the sun with its Drought Ability and take advantage of its very high Special Attack with Heat Wave. Either way, Mega Charizard will be a tough foe to overcome without a trusty 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Rock-type attack.
