Pokémon has done an incredible job to stay relevant and even decades after the series first hit it still has a large and obsessive fanbase. The Pokémon franchise has expanded in various ways, but one of the biggest changes is the new Pokémon that are introduced in each new Generation. There are lots of great Pokémon that have come out of recent titles, but some consider 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Generation 2 to be when the series really hit its stride.

Generation 2 of the Pokémon games feature a lot of new creatures that skew towards 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cuter character designs, but this does not apply to all of them. Accordingly, he🐭re are the 10 most frightening Gen 2 Pokémon.

10 🙈 Misdreavus ✱

Generation 2 of the Pokémon titles don’t feature a lot of new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ghost Pokémon, but Misdreavus is the ♓one exception and it’s at least a memorable addition to the paranormal Pokémon family. Misdreavus is tiny in nature, but it’s a ghost that doesn’t just love mischief, but it actuallyꦯ thrives on fear.

Misdreavus is known to sob throughout the night to frighten anyone that’s nearby and even tug on people’s hair to make them more afraid. Misdreavus absorbs this fear and gains nutrients through it, so fear🍌 is actually necessary for th🙈is Pokémon’s survival.

9 Unown

Unown may not look like much, but it's the strange and mysterious nature of this Pokémon that makes it such a frightening creation. Unown almost seems alien in nature and its roots go back to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ancient times. It's 🅘this mysterious backstory and Unown's larger connection to the univer🉐se that make it so intimidating.

Additionally, the pre🌄sence of multiple different Unowns is a scary sight and people could literally be swarmed by a pack of these strange signs. Its ability to telepathically communicate with others also makes it more suspicious and ♛capable of strange manipulation.

8 Girafarig

Girafarig is supposed to be a cute Pokémon and even its name is a playful gag that comments upon its bifurcated appearance. Despite the pure intentions here, Girafarig is kind of like nightmare fuel and feels like a Pokémon that David Cronenberg would have cooked up in his version of The Fly. The two-headed Pokémon is a strange concept and the second smaller head keeps a watch over the Pokémon’s other half when it's asleep, which also means that Girafarig is always watching. There’s just somet𝓰hing creepy about the fact that this Pokéꦑmon has two brains.

7 Houndoom

Houndoom is a vicious Pokémon that's a more frightening version of a rabid dog. Houndoom is a pack animal, which means that it's likely that a number of them will swarm and pick apart their opponents, which is a disturbing thought. However, this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:flame-based Pokémon is especially dangerous because his flames contain dangerous dark toxins within them. If Houndoom burns someone, that burn will hurt them forever, even if it heals. It's a very evil th🌳ought and shows that this Pokémon is one of the more vile ones and seems like it’s designed specifically to inflict pain.

6 Tyranitar

Tyranitar is one of the most overwhelming threats from Generation 2 of Pokémon. It's as if Godzilla enters the Pokémon worldꦚ. This is an enormous Pokémon that can't help but cause destruction. His mere movement causes massive earthquakes to happen and he destroys mountains to make room for a nest. The chaotic nature of this Pokémon is a lot to take in and it's possible that it's caused deaths and inflicted f๊ear, purely based on its destruction with some not ever even laying eyes on the Pokémon.

5 Skarmory

An angered Skarmory perched in the sky in the Pokemon anime

Many of the airborne Pokémon are dangerous threats that make for particularly frightening battles. Skarmory is an especially strange case because it's like a pterodactyl that's covered with swords. Skarmory is aggressive and can fly at nearly 200 mph, which is enough to wipe out most opponents. The Pokémon’s most identifiable trait is that its prot🐷ective armor is sharp metal. When Skarmory loses its "feathers," peopleღ make swords from out of them. The idea of swords raining down from the sky is just as frightening as Skarmory actually attacking someone.

4 Granbull

There are many Pokémon that draw their inspiration from actual animals and then take these species to ridiculous places. Granbull is a good example of this and even though the evolved 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dog Pokémon is more on the shy and timid side, it doesn't change the fact that it's packing a real weapon. Granbull's jaw is very powerful and can really hurt individuals. Thiꦡs is somewhat unnerving since Granbull is popular with young children. The Pokémon may not intend to harm anyone, but it's scary to watch children so close to something that's this deadly when a mistake may happen.

3 Scizor

Scizor using a speedy strike on a Torrocat in the Pokemon Anime

Scyther from the first Generation of Pokémon games is already a frightening take on insect Pokemon, but Scizor, Generation 2's evolved form of the Pokémon, is even more intimidating. Scizor loses the razor-sharp blades, but he now supports strong pincer-like claws that are capable of even more damage. Scizor is such a strong Pokémon that even its muscles are made of metal, which means that it's difficult to hurt this Pokémon if it ever decides to launch an at꧃tack. An angry metal insect that can’t be destroyed is a true nightmare

2 Ursaring

Ursaring Pokemon from anime

Much liಞke regular bears, Ursaring isn't naturally aggressive, but that doesn't change the fact that it's hard to remain calm when a large bear Pokémon approaches. Ursaring prefers to sleep and eat than attack, but it ha꧟s powerful claws and inherent strength that comes forward whenever its temper is triggered. Ursaring does daily rounds of the forest for food, which means it's likely to be encountered. The Pokémon also has impeccable scent, which means it can easily find its prey if it's on the hunt.

1 Entei

It's safe to say that any 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Legendary Pokémon from the franchise is going to be intimidating purely based off of its 🍎stature and incredible powers. Generation 2 introduces some satisfཧying Legendary Pokémon into the mix that are all intimidating in their own way, but Entei is the most frightening of the lot. Entei is fire-based and his flame power is unprecedented. Not only is the Pokémon said to have been born in a volcano eruption, but supposedly every time the Pokémon barks a volcano goes off. It's hard to not be afraid of that kind of overwhelming strength.
