There's a new popularity poll for the newest Pokemon game, and surprisingly, Pikachu isn't included—the actual poll was for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Scarlet & Violet, asking fans what their favourite 'mons are from the new gen, but it includes old 'mons who resurfaced, like Eevee and the vastly superior Umbreon (the best Eevelution, not Sylveon a🀅s the poll would have you believe). A lack of Pikachu is surprising, but so is Fuecoco leading the starters.
That's only counting starter starters, not starter cats who turn into humanoid internet bait like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Meowscarada, who barrels into third place behind the brown blob that is Clodsire. In first place, we have the fairy steel type Tinkaton, another third evolution. Their Pokedex entry describes them as an "intelligent Pokemon" who "knocks roc🧸ks in🌊to the sky with its hammer".
It hits rocks into the sky to try and take down Corviknight, who isn't in the top 30 poll results—it looks like Tinkaton got the last laugh after all. Some expected picks have cropped up, like Eevee, Lucario, Gengar, Tandemaus (who was called 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gen 9's cutest back in November), Charizard, and Ceruledge, but then there's Quagsire. Yes, Quagsire, in a list of popular 'mons that doesn't include Pikachu. Quagsire, the big blue blob with a tail. Neck and neck with Eevee, another Let's Go starter.
While Pikachu doesn't make an appearance, the mimic 'mon, Mimikyu, who steals their likeness is in tenth place. They have a characteristically terrifying backstory, as Ghost types in Pokemon are one to. In Sun, its said that "After going to all the effort of disguising itself, its neck was broken". Given that it broke its neck, "it's still feeling sad". And in Sword, we find out that it's willing to kill anyone who uncovers that it's not really Pikachu, even if it means dying themselves. And here I am writing an article about how it's not Pikachu.
Moving away from creepy urban legends taken form, there's the two motorcycles who don't use their wheels, but awkwardly run on all fours—168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Koraidon and Miraidon. Out of Scarlet & Violet's offerings, they've proven more popular than even Charizard, coming in at 12th and 17th respectively.
But going back to starters, there's Fuecoco, who is top of the charts in fourth place. They've beaten Sprigatito and Quaxly, though it's no match for Sprigatito's evolved humanoid form. Regardless, of the three you choose out of the gate, in their very first form, nestled in those pokeballs waiting for a would-be master to pick them out, Fuecoco rules. It's a deserved victory (even if it's wrong—Sprigatito supremacy), and fitting given that these starters will be the leads in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the new Pokemon anime, taking centre stage as Pikachu and Ash retire. They might not ever reach the levels Pikachu did, given they're now synonymous with Pokemon itself, but they're at least a hit with players.
