Whenever Pokémon does this fans are often holding their breath hoping they get introduced to new and exciting Pokémon d🃏esigns. Over the years the series has seen its fair share of uninspired additions💯, but among the hundreds of Pokémon, there are more than a handful that are too alike to ignore.

10 ဣ Sawsbuck/Stantler

stantler sawsbuck

The first set 💧of look-a-likes we're going to be discussing are Stantler and Sawsbuck. These two Pokémon are both based on deer with the former being a standalone creature and the latter being the final form of a base Pokémon named deerling. Overall they are brown and resemble the structure and look of deer, but thankfully there 𒅌are some detailed differences between the two. Based on whatever the in-game season is Sawsbuck's horns evolve to look different and much more distinct. Stantler also has a massive ball shape on its rump which makes it easily identifiable.

9 𒆙 Emolga/Pikachu

Throughout the generations of Pokémon games, it seems that each one is bound to have at least one Electric-type that resembles Pikachu in some fashion. For the 5th generation, the Pokémon that took those honors was an Electric/Flying dual-type by the name of Emolga. This flying squirrel has a lively personality 🥂and has the same color scheme when looking at its design that Pikachu does. Thankfully the designers went with a white body and let the yellow and black colors be accents.

8 ꦡ ꦯ Pidove/Starly

pidove starly

If you play Pokémon long enough you'll understand that each new generation of games has a certain set of rules or traditions they follow. One of these rules revolves around there being a 3 Pokémon evol🤡utionary line of bird Pokémon in each new region.

Though they're all birds, many of them have unique looks or secondary typings in addition to their 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Flying-type. Pidove of the 4th generation and S🦩tarly of the 5th aren't as unique as both are stubby little grey and black birds that for all intents and purposes are interchangeable.

7 Beautifly/Vivillon ෴ 🍨

vivillon beautifly

You may be wondering why Butterfree wasn't included in this en﷽try but Beautifly and Vivillon were. Well, Butterfree is the most unique looking design of the 3 thanks to the way they shaped its body. Both Vivillon and Beautifly have bodies based on the slim and lengthy bodies of actual butterflies. One could argue that their wing patterns make them unique from one another, but at the end of the day trainers mix them up with one another because they're pretty much theꦐ same Pokémon.

6 𒊎 Bounsweet/Cherubi 💃

cherubi bounsweet

When fans start diving into the science behind Pokémon and whether or not some Pokémon belong to certain families of species, that's when speculation hits an all-time high. Bounsweet is known as the Fruit Pokémon and looks like a berry, which is interesting considering Cherubi is almost the same shape, size, and design and is known as the Cherry Pokémon. Since cherries are fruit does this mean that Cherubi is simply a descendant species from Bounsweet? Someone needs to work on an official Pokémon evolutionary chart.

5 ꦗ 🗹 Plusle/Minun/Pikachu

pikachu plusle minun

As the years have progressed the Pokémon Company and GameFreak have done a much better job at creating interesting Pikachu clones that have a bit of their personality. One of the most egregious examples of uninspired creativity has to be with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Plusle and Minun of the 3rd generation of Pokémon games. They are nothing more than the Pikachu design w🐽ith red and blue elements thrown in alongside a plus or minus sign on the cheeks. When it comes to forgettable creatures they're likely near the top in a lot of respects.

4 𒁏 Tauros/Bouffalant

bouffalant tauros

The internet seems to have a love/hate relationship with Pokémon fans who are nostalgic for the Kanto region and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Red & Blue.🐽 An underrated Pokémon of the first generation was Tauros, a bul⭕l Pokémon people have wanted to receive evolutionary love for years.

When Bouffalant was revealed alongside the 5th generation of games many assumed it was that lon♋g-awaited evolution for Tauros. It turns out it was simply another Normal😼-type that wasn't related to Tauros at all for some unknown reason.

3 ✃ Luvdisc/Alomomola 🐲

luvdisc amomola

When you look around at all of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-type Pokémon the franchis💦e has produced, you'll see a fair amount of them are fish. Luvdisc and Alomomola aren't just both Water-type fish Pokémon, but they both happen to be flat heart-shaped pink underwater dwellers as well. If someone told you they were simply the male and female forms of the same Pokémon most people wouldn't bat an eye at that notion. Neither of them evolve from or into anything either so it seems they both evolved to live the same existence in different regions.

2 ♌ ಞ Magikarp/Feebas

feebas pikachu

A simple glance at both Magikarp and Feebas will lead the uninformed to believe that Feebas is nothing more than a sick or diseased Magikarp. This was done on purpose considering Feebas, like Magikarp, is meant to be a worthless Pokémon on the surface. If trainers are willing to commit to training and raising it though it will reward them with a powerful and majestic creature. Feebas is pretty much the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon equivalent of the inter💯♏net plagiarism meme that's exploded in popularity over the last few years.

1 Pik🌊achu/Dedenne

dedenne pikachu

We've already covered Plusle and Minun and how they were low effort clones of Pikachu, but they're nowhere near as bad as Dedenne. With it, the designers essentially figured that if they made Pikachu chubby and gave it whiskers no one would notice. It at least has a secondary typing of Fairy alongside its Electric-typing, but that doesn't make it unique enough. It's sad to realize this Pokémon will never receive love or attent🦹ion because it wasn't given the uniqueness or individuality all Pokémon deserve.
