We thought it would be fitting to revisit this list and expand on some of these mysteries, adding information where possible.
10 MYSTERY: Cubone’s Face
At first sight, Cubone seems like a little cute Pokemon that likes to wear skulls on their heads, but don’t get fooled by their appearance. According to the Pokédex, every Cubone wears the skull of its dead mother to hide its faces, and they feel so bad about the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:death of their parent that they tend to cry at nights out of sadness.
But the more you think about it, Cubone’s Pokedex entry doesn’t make any sense. If a Cubone’s mother has more than one 🌌child, how do they decide who will wear her skull if she were to die? Do all Cubone lose their mothers? Cubone’s real face is a mystery, and the only logical answer about the skull they wear is that there is no face underneath it, their helmet is actually some sort of exoskeleton they’re born with.
Furthermore, fan conspiracies theorize that Cubone might be the child of a Kangaskhan. The baby in Kangaskhan's pouch looks suspiciously similar to Cubone in terms of their physical traits, and the skull Cubon🍒e wears does resemble the head of a Kangashkan. Additionally, in Sun & Moon, wild Cubone can call for rein♐forcements, and they'll . Typically, Pokemon call one of their evolutionary relatives, lending credence to the idea that the two Pokemon are somehow related.
9 SOLVED: The GS Ball
When the GS Ball was introduced in the anime in 1999, it was sold to viewers as some sort of ominous item that was very important. It was so important, that Professor Ivy asked ash to deliver it personally to Professor Oak, so he could study it too. The anime went on, Ash delivered♈ the artifact and th𓃲en... nothing happened.
N𓂃ine years after its introduction, Masamitsu Hidaka, a storyboard director for the Pokemon Anime, said that the GS Ball was supposed to contain a Celebi, who was to play a prominent role in the Johto saga. Instead, the GS Ball arc was dropped to give Celebi its o🌸wn movie, and fans were supp💎osed to forget about it.
Additionally, the GS Ball appears in the games. Players could receive one from a past eve♔nt in Pokemon Crystal. They could then take it to Kurt who will study it. He'll then return it and𝐆 the player will need to bring it to the shrine in the Ilex Forest. At this point, Celebi would appear and could be captured by the player.
8 MYSTERY: Parasect’s Mushroom.
Paras and Parasect are Bug-Grass Pokemon that are both characterized by the mushrooms they carry on their back. And according to the Pokedex, these mushrooms are called “Tochukaso,” which in real life is an endoparasitoid fungus that infects caterpillars and can even change their beꦬhavior to its own ends.
Parasect’s Pokedex entry tells that by the time Paras has evolved into Parasect, the mu🌸shroom has already taken over the bug. Its eyes have become soulless and the mushroom on its back has grown to an enormous size. The parasite’s only purpose now is to infect its host’s eggs to start the cycle anew. This all begs the question: Is Parasect the insect, or the mushroom?
7 SOLVED🧸: What Happens To Pokemon Inside Poké Balls?
Poke Balls are an intrinsic part of the franchise that has been explored very little as a concept. Everyon🀅e knows that if you throw one at a weak wild Pokemon you can capture it. But, what happens to them after they’re inside the ball?
Well, it turns out that the♛y become data. Pokemon don’t need to eat or exercise if they’re inside a Poke Ball, they don’t exist as a tangible being until they’re out of them!
6 SOLVED: The Secret Mew Of Pokemon Red And Blue
When Pokemon Red and Blue were in development, Mew was supposed to be an obtainable Pokemon, but due to hardware limitations, its encounter was cut out of the final game. When its existence became known, many players looꦿked for ways to💝 obtain it, something that lead to a wave of rumors about its encounter.
The rumors went so far as to say that it could be battled♈ normally, you just had to get to the truck parked in the docks near the S.S. Anne, and then push it using the move Strength. But the rumors about the “Mew truck” were false, as there wasn’t a Mew underneath the truck.
Seven years after Red and Blue’s release, play🅠ers found a way to exploit a glitch that triggered a battle with Mew. It was nicknamed “The Mew Glitꦜch,” and it allowed players to catch this legendary Pokemon in the original games.
Seemingly playing along with fan theories, the Pokemon Company has made reference to this early rumor. In Fir🐻eRed and LeafGreen, the player can find a Lava Cookie on a tile south of the truck. In the Let's Go 😼games, a revive can also be found there once a day.
5 MYSTERY: Mew’s Birthplace
According to the first Pokemon movie and tex♛ts found in the first generation of Pokemon games, a team of scientists found in the Guyana Jungle the fossilized remains of a Mew, a Psychic Pokemon rumored to be the ancestor🍰 of all Pokemon.
But there’s a problem: Guyana is a real country located in the South American continent. How could Pokemon scientists go to Guyana if the Pokemon world is supposed to be a parallel world? Did they 🧜travel to a parallel world similar to ours?
4 SOLVE⛎D: Why is there a Nurse Joy at every Pokemon Cen🐲ter?
The first time a player enters the Pokemon Center they will meet Joy, a very charismatic nuꦛrse that helps trainers heal their Pokemon. Things get weird when it turns out that every𒉰 Pokemon Center of every region has its own Nurse Joy!
But Nurse Joys aren’t clones, nor is there a single Nurse Joy running every Pokemon center. It turns out that every one of them is part of a very big family. Furthermore, an episode of the anime revealed that Joy is the family name for the Nurse Joys you see everywhere, rather than their first or givꦡen name. Maybe one of their ancestors had very dominant genes? Who knows.
3 MYSTERY: Tao Trio’s True Form
According to Pokemon’s lore, the flagship Legendary dragons of the Gen V games, Zekrom and Reshiram, were one single entity. They were this sort of powerful🔯 dr🅺agon that had to split due to human intervention, and the leftovers of said split became the Pokemon known as Kyurem.
In the Pokemon games, anime and manga, Kyurem is able to fuse with one of either Zekrom or Reshiram using DNA Splicers. Sadly, Kyurem can’t fuse with both at the same t⛎ime, leaving the dragon trio’s unified form a total mystery.
Many fans have made mockup art of how the "original dragon" could appear, while others have hope𒉰d that we might one day see the Pokemon in a Generation V remake game.

The makers of the television and movie series seem to have pointed to this first-episode appea🅠rance in one of the most recent films. In Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! the story of Ash's original journey is retold. Ho-oh plays a major role in this film, harkening back to its original appearance in the first episode of the anime with the same name.
1 💯 🍌 MYSTERY: Tobias
Tobias was a trainer who battled Ash at the height of the Lily of the Valley Conference, the Sinnoh League offi✅cial championship competition for trainers that gathered all 8 badges of the region.
Up until Tobias, Ash had a well-earned win-streak that showed how he grew as a trainer. But his luck left him the moment they battled, as Tobias' first Pokemon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:was a Darkrai, a very powerful Mythicaꦑl Pokemon that ruined Ash’s chances of victory.
If that wasn’t enough, Tobias chose a Latios — another powerful Legendary Pokemon — after his Darkrai fainted, then won the match. There hasn’t been an explanation as to how he obtained both Pokemon, and there༒’s a chance that there won’t ever be one, as he disappeared from the franchise after winning the championship.
Luckily, since then, Ash has redeemed hi𓆏mself and won the Alola League's championship, becoming the 📖"greatest" finally after many, many years.
