The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon franchise has always had a really decent list of heavy-hitters, in addition to having tons of baby Pokémon that ꦜyou're much better off having the first evolutions of.

Unfortunately for the bigger, more dangerous Pokémon, sometimes there are a few things that can get in the way of what it is they need to do, such as having an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ab🥂ility that really doe𒆙s nothing for them, or even worse, actively being an impediment to them being able to succeed in battle. Whether these Pokémon have genuinely awful abilities or if they just don't suit the moveset depends, but t🧸hey really don't work.

10 Camerupt

camerupt in the pokemon anime

The issue with Camerupt isn't that he's potentially a really strong opponent given his more than decent base-stats, and it's also not with any possible ability that the Pokémon could have. The Solid Rock ability that some of the Camerupts will be caught with is actually pretty good. The issue is with the other possible Camerupt ability, which is Magma Armor, which protects the Pokémon from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ice-Type attacks. Who attacks fire with ice though?

9 Aggron

Aggron angry

Aggron is a pretty good heavy-hitter. This Steel/Rock type is more than capable of being a team's tank, once the trainer takes it through the 42 levels that it needs to get there. The issue with the ability it gets, known as "Sturdy," isn't that it's altogether awful, it's that it's a complete waste of an ability slot. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Pokémon's happiness level doesn't serve the trainer since it's fully evolved, so what's the point of it preventing itself from getting knocked out in⭕ one hit if it still goes down to 1 HP? You can switch it out, but it doesn't matter.

8 Lopunny

lopunny jumping in a stadium

Lopunny isn't really what most people would think of as an extremely strong Pokémon, but they're actually decently tough for normal Pokémon, in addition to having 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a great move-pool.

The issue comes in when we realize that the Poké♋mon has an absolutely terrible ability, which does literally nothing of value for your Lopunny, but in꧟stead makes it that they're not allowed to have a hold item. It's pretty disrespectful for Game Freak to essentially nerf a Pokémon like this honestly.

7 Metagross

Metagross in a stadium

There are two different forms of abilities that are related, which a few 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:different Steel Pokémon have. There's Light Metal and Heavy Metal, and they have two supposed purposes. For Light Metal, which is one of the abilities that the frankly pretty scary looking Metagross has, it halves the weight of the Pokémon. This is supposed to be so that Metagross takes less damage from weight-based attacks, but with the way damage is calculated for Grass Knot and Low Kick, it's🅰 useless.

6 Regigigas

pokemon regigigas

This one very well might actually top the list for absolute worst ability that really any Pokémon in the game has, and to make matters worse for Regigigas, it's their signat𝔍ure ability, meaning that as of now, no other Pokémon has this ability. The ability causes the attack and speed of Regigigas to be halved for the first 5 turns of the battle. There's really no way to even spin this one positive, it's pretty much just overall terrible. There really aren't many ways to change that either.

5 Archeops

archeops flying

Archeops is a really cool Pokémon that's able to use a lot of great moves, being a flying and rock type Pokémon introduced in Gen V which requires you to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:use a fossil, like a lot of other Poké🌌mon, to get him onto your team.

The issue arises when the trainer decides to look at what the ability does, which is called Defeatist. Defeatist is pretty much a big nerf t🌱o Archeops since it halves Archeops' stꦜats whenever the Pokémon is damaged below half health. Way to add insult to injury.

4 Togekiss

Togekiss with a confetti background

Togekiss is the third evolution of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:everyone's favorite baby Pokémon, Togepi. The middle evolution is Togetic, and overall, it's a pretty powerful evolutionary chain, being dual🏅-typed between Fairy and Flying-type, which is a great mashup🃏 of types, providing for good coverage and nice damage bonuses through type-advantages. The issue is the ability Hustle, which boosts attack by 50%, a decent amount, but then decreases accuracy by 20%.

3 Golisopod

Golisopod prepping to attack

Golisopod is a Pokémon that is deceptively powerful, especially when realizing that the Pokémon is evolved from another Pokémon called 💟Wimpod, which already doesn't bode well for the Pokémon in general.

The Pokémon is a Bug and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-type, something the series is no stranger to, but the problem with making it com⛦petitive is the ability Emergency Exit, which trades out the Pokémon the second it dips below half health, meaning the trainer wasted a whole turn if they don't care.

2 Machamp

Machamp flexing

Machamp is pretty much a favorite of a lot of people, especially since it's evolutionary line was introduced in Gen I, Machamp has pretty much become the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:go-to-fighting type for many players. He's a powerhouse overall, b𓂃ut that doesn't mean Machamp is without fault, especially since the Pokémon has the ability No Guard, which means that attacks either made by the Pokémon or by its opponent won't miss, making accuracy a non꧂-issue for either Pokémon. This also, unfortunately, applies for 1-hit-KO moves as well.

1 Lunala

Lunala in front of the moon

Lunala is a great Pokémon, and probably one of the coolest legendaries to make an appearance in the game in a long time. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lunala is the mascot of Pokémon Moon, appearing on the box-art and generally being highly sought-after. Unfortunately for Lunala, who is a dual typed Ghost and Psychic, Game Freak saw fit to give them a pretty useless abil🌜ity which cuts only the very first attack of a fight that begins while Lunala is at full health in hal♐f. It doesn't work with one-hit-KO attacks, nor does it actually do anything with any other move that deals direct damage.
