For long-time Pokemon fans, were some of the most disappointing rel🌸eases this year, others were just happy with another pokemon game. Long-time fans, however, took to social media to complain about the new formula, design changes to the pokemon system, and lack of pokemon and features from previous years.
There are unfortunate reasons for some of the decisions while others were added to make things easier for newcomers, but come off as either being pushy or too hand-holdy. So here's a list of 10 features in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Sword and Shield that fans are critical of, but are supp🦂ose🌺d to have a meaningful place in the game.
10 No National Dex ♊
One of the biggest things most fans ga❀ve been critical of is no national Pokedex. A lot of favorites got cut and lesser-known good pokemon got cut like a Thanos s♈napped so this game could get released timely. This lead to only bigtime fan-favorites getting put into the Galar region with the other new pokemon they came up for the region.
The reason is simply it's unreasonable to have to recreate 800+ pokemon for a release from scratch, especially being the first time Gamefreak is working with higher graphics for home consoles. This was, unfortunately, going to happen at some point to meet graphical standard eꦿspecially being for years Gamefreak's specialty b🍒eing 2D sprites and keeping to stay away from 3D development all these years.
9 ꦯ Constant Dialogue Stops 𒊎
One common complaint of modern Pokemon games is the constant stops from rivals, especially rivals weaker than you. It's inconvenient especially when the player doesn't care what they have to say because their goal is to roll around in the weeds until a Pokemon shows up. This is an attempt to have you connect with𝔍 your rivals in the game and also act as a tutorial for element💦s of the game.
This, however, hasn't realꦑly worked because most are simply anime stereotypes with nothing going on beyond surface-level based off of the filler dialogue that most spew out. It takes a while to not be inconvenienced by the Rivals in this game, especially when most players just want the freedom to run around and do whatever while training their Pokemon.
8 ꦚ Long Tutorial Levels
It's another a longtime complaint fro the modern generations of Pokemon, the fix this time around for168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Sword and Shield is that you can skip most of the tutorial level. There's still basic tutorial but the good girth of the tutorial is skippable. The long pro⛄gress stopping, hand holding is for new casual players and꧑ kids getting into it, we understand.
Pokemon was never too hard to figure out, especially with the addition of the telling you t🌱ype advantages during battle. It simply seems like over-explainin🧜g on concepts and a lack of confidence from Gamefreak to its player's ability to enjoy and figure out the game. To long-time players, it does come off as condescending
7 🤡 Forgiving The Big Bad
One element common in current pokemon games that make a l🏅ot of fans role their eyes collectively is when a bad guy gets off free after putting the entire planet in danger because he's sorry. No, the punishment does not fit the crime because all of a sudden they change their whole personality because you beat them in a Pokemon battle, so now they are good and nice therefore forgivable.
It's a game aimed for children so it's understandable but per♛haps this isn't the best message to send if you do something bad there are repercussions for that bad act. Forgiving a bad guy in real life omits the idea that people lie to get their way anyways, and nothing seems more untrustworthy then someone willing to put thousands of people's lives in danger for a goal.
6 Long Co🅠mplicated Evolutions
Yamask is a complicated fury that can be a hell of an undertaking in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword and Shield, which has fans raging as they try to figure out why it has to be so specific in order to evolve the pokemon. It does help up playtime and is a good way to geﷺt some exp chare grinding down while you go out and knock out the local wildlife in a very specific part of the region.
Complicated evolutions in Pokemon have always been a thing, but Yamask's evolution is not something you'd figure out without a🐓 guide, ever. This🐭 is something that is so marginal in the chances of randomly happening upon it, that it is internet dependent. Woe is the day the internet dies and you're trying to complete the Pokedex.
5 ♌ Telling Type Advantages 🍒
One feature of current 🍨pokemon is during battle is moves have highlights showing you what is super effective againstಞ the opponent pokemon's type. This is actually a useful feature for those not following up on the changes to the type resistance changes that Gamefreak does.
Many fans complain that there just being told which moves to use, but the option is still theirs. Others complain it makes the games too easy, while this should be a feature because it's more user-friendly as there was never any easy way in-game to ever learn in other pokemon games before this feature all the resistances and super effectiveness. 🍌Especially since it can change per game.
4 ꧋ 🅠 Giga-Evolution
Some complain that's it's silly and over the top compared to the features before it, perhaps too gimmicky. One thing Gamefreak tries to do is something special for each region, which really isolates each region and makes it feel like its🌊 own world rather than they share a world.
No, the evolutions aren't apart of the game and it is absolutely ridiculous to have a 2 story Pikachu knocking out high leveled pokemon, but that's just pokemon. It's something new and not too complicated to use, and it can't be abused like other specials form different regions. It definitely needs a skip animation opt♛ion because it delays the battle way too much when you use it.
3 🥂No Mega-Evolution
Another thing cut fro♛m the game, probably to save on animation and new character models. Pokemon being a franchise has to be timely released together to keep interests up or else risks fading from existence.
All this region's concentration was the specialness of their G♈iga-evolution and it's possible they felt including their other specials from the past might limit the specialness of this brand new idea they were obviously excited about. This affects the competitive scene however because it was a favorite for many competitive players.
2 No Z-Move
Anꦍother special pokemon feature cut that has fan backlash as though the franchise were starting from scratch. It does take away from the specialness of a new feature if Gamefreak whimsically drops it the next set of games for something else new. It gives it that whole "It was all just a dream so ignore it" feeling or a complete lack of concentration or commitment 🔴to the idea especially if it's a good idea.
Z-moves definitely were corny and took way to long, so much so, it felt like a punishment to use them during battle. If Gamefreak wanted to 🔥improve the idea they could simply cut🅷 the animation for corny dance and just let the pokemon use the move.
1 Low-Quality𒁏 Graphics 🎐
One of the biggest complaints from fans was the low-quality graphics and reused animations from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sun and Moon. Once again that comes down to the limited time 𓃲scale to match up with merchandise on Christmas season and working simultaneously on another title, Little Town Hero. This lead to a lot of work cuts and short cuts to get the game out with not enough work getting done.
Add onto this Gamefreak is a mostly handheld game maker who never really put their resources into home console even though the mobile phone game market killed the handheld. They are years behind as far as resources and with their only outlet being the Switch, which can handle high-quality graphics such as with Breath of the Wild, found themselves very far back.
