Remakes of the newest Pokémon main series games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sword & Shield, are probably more than a decade away. The world is still impatiently waiting for the long-expected Diamond & Pearl remakes. But, that doesn't mea🧔n we can't speculate about what types of features would be or should be included in Gen VIII reboots.
Past remakes of the Gen I, II, and III games kept themselves true to the originals but added in a few mechanics, plotlines, or gameplay elements that were new, fresh, or exciting. Hopefully, Sword & Shield's🍬 💞eventual remakes do the same. If so, here are some of the things they should include.
10 ✅ Gym Leader Team Size 🎃
Gym battles in Sword & Shield are arguably some of the most exciting in series history, taking place inside huge stadiums with roaring crowds and cheering fans. The developers 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:tried to capture the feel of going to a large footb⭕all (or soccer, for you Americans) game inജ Europe, with all the thrill and hullabaloo.
One let down to this, however, is that the gym leaders are kind of easy, especially in the earlier portions of the game. This is due in part to their small teams of only two or three Pokémon. In the remakes, these should be rounded out so the Gym Challenge actually feels like a challenge.
9 Mas꧃ter Trainers
One part of the post-game in Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee was the master trainers. These insanely difficult NPCs each specialized in one of the original 151 Pokémon, plus Meltan and Melmetal. For almost all of them (barring a few), you must defeat them in a battle usℱing the same Pokémon as tꩵheirs.
These fights are tough, and they pose a true challenge to anyone who wa𒉰nts to൲ call themself the very best. It would be amazing to see these trainers scattered around Galar, especially the Wild Area.
8 𝔍A More Open World ꦡ
Speaking of the Wild Area, it is hands down one of the best things introduced in a Pokémon game in years. The ability to roam freely and encounter Pokémon of all shapes, sizes, and levels just roaming arou꧑nd like they're in a natural world was amazing.
With the , this fantastic addition to the series will be even more diverse and bel🅠oved. But, what if all of Galar was open-world, like many other games tend to be (looking at you, Breath of the Wild). It would be epic.
7 ღ 💃 Expanded Post-Game
The measly post-game storyline of Sword & Shield left much to be desired. Fight some Dynamax P⛎okémon, fight Hop a few more times, sit through some cutscenes, catch the legendary, the end. It was a sore spot for many players who expected more out of such a big game.
The remakes should expand on this and offer a real reason to return to Galar and spend more ꩲtime in it. The Delta Episode in the Hoenn remak༒es might not have been the largest amount of content ever added to a game, but it felt much more involved than Sword & Shield's, and it's extremely memorable.
6 Minor League Gyms 🌞
During the lead-up 🍷to Sword & Shield, rumours and leaks spread like🐈 crazy. While not all of these rumours turned out to be based in fact, they gave people a sense of the new direction GameFreak was trying to take the franchise.
One of the things people looked forward to 🐼most was actually a phrasing error: minor league gyms. It was rumoured that there would be 18 gyms in Galar, one for each type. This ultimately turned out to be false, but wouldn't it be ♉sick if they included this minor league in the remake games?
5 Soaring Corviknight 🐠
At risk of continuously propping up the Gen III remakes, they did introduce some really cool features. One of these was the soaring mecha💖nic, which allowed players to fly through the air on the back of Mega Latios or Mega Latias, exploring the region from a bird's eye view (or a dragon's eye view, in this case).
This mechanic was an awesome one that let you find new secret areas, battle wild Pokémon from thousands of feet up, and explore the Hoenn region from a completely different perspective. The Corviknight taxi serviꦅce should have been like this, so the re♊makes should absolutely consider it, especially given how cool it would be to explore the Wild Area with this method.
4 A Tougher𝕴 C🔯hampion
Leon's entire schtick as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Champion of the Galar region is that he has never been defeated in an official match. But, all in all, he's not the toughest fight in Pokémon. Cynthia, for e𝄹xample, is way more difficult to defeat in battle. Shouldn't Leon be on her level, or at least surpass it?
Since the remakes of Sword & Shield should stay true to the original story, Leon shouldn't be replaced as Champion. But, his fight should be as tough as nails. Not only would it fit better with his whole "undefeated" thing, but it would be a fun addition to the fact that he's a d🍎itzy and bubbly character throughout the games. Whipping out an extremely strong team that you have to struggle to defeat would be an amazing twist.
3 ꦜ Following Pokémon
One of 🐼the most requested features is following Pokémon, originating in Yellow and making an appearance in HeartGold, SoulSilver, and the Let's Go series. Seeing your Pokémon follow behind you as you explore the world is so cute, and really attaches you to your team.
For some reason, GameFreak seems reticent to add this feature to the games again. For whatever reason, it has been absent from most of the main series games despite overwhelming demand. Sword & Shield's remakes could be t꧙he ones to reintroduce this mechanic and finally appease fans.
2 💃 More Pokémon 🔥
Dexit was a tragedy that is still causing ramifications and fallout to this day, months after Sword & Shield's release. With the news that over 200 of the earlier generation Pokémon would be returning, fans rejoiced. Alongside this news was the announcement of several 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:brand new legendary Pokémon. Some are cool, some are weird, but th🦂ey're all exciting.
GameFreak should capture this feeling again when the time comes to remake th🌸e Gen VIII games. Adding new, never-before-seen Pokémon brings something fresh to the table for players old and you😼ng, and builds excitement like nothing else.
1 ♐ Wild Area Expansion
If a completely-open world isn't on the table for the Sword & Shield remakes, the least the developers can do is expand the Wildౠ Area. Even if Galar does become an open world, a Wild Area expansion is necessary. The current Wild Area is amazing, but diversifying spawns, increasing the size, and adding new activities would really sell the remake games.
As mentioned, the DLC is adding two new Wild Areas. Hopefully, they are as great as the current one but bring something neꦇw to the table as well. A remake should follow suit, bringing a host of new Wild Area excitement and hype.
