Pokémon168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Sword & Shield were packed with tons of content upon its release, but the Isle of Armor DLC was promised to make the games even larger. The expansion did bring new Gigantamaꦫx Forms, additional Pokémon, and a brand new territory for trainers to explore, but the the shor🌄t story mode and its extent of other changes to the game were minor and minimal for many players.

Thankfully, this DLC is only the first of two expansions, as the legendary-packed Crown Tundra is still on its way with new and returning Pokémon, as well as a massive new environment. Much about this upcoming DLC is still unknown, but there are several improvements that this new content could contain that the Isle of Armor failed to bring.

10 Scaling Difficulty ജ

Klara sends out her weak, but Dynamaxed, final teammate

One of the more disappointing parts of the Isle of Armor was its level of challenge. Trainers who hadn’t 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:beaten the game could access it immediately upon reaching the Wild Area, with all opponents and wild Pokémon being suitably low. Meanwhile, those who had beaten the game were greeted with several Pokémon at level 60, well below most trainers who had been play🍸ing since the game's release.

This does allow players to enjoy the new area, but since the game had been out for several months before the expansion, it ended u꧙p being too weak and tedious for anyone to find enjoyable. Hopefully, thജe focus on Max Raid Battles and Legendary Pokémon encounters will lead to more challenging gameplay for those with high-level teams.

9 🍸 🏅 Daily Events

Even though the Isle of Armor brought a lot of new content in terms of its move tutors, new Pokémon, and new environments, the Isle of Armor’s staying power was somewhat lacking. While fun to explore once, there’s little value to wandering it once all the items are picked up, and there are very few worthwhile items that respawn daily that make returning pointle♎ss.

A solution to this for the Crown Tundra could be to provide more unique daily events. These can be as small as NPCs that grant special items, unique battle challenges, or even just higher quality items and interactable Pokémon respawning frequently. Whatever form it takes, having things to do regularly is a key way to keep players on the Crown Tundra.

8 Battle Challenges ꦆ

The Battle Tower is one of Pokémon Sword & Shield's only battle challenges

Speaking of battle challenges, one of the largest ways that the Crown Tundra can improve on the game overall is through having more replayable challenges similar to the Battle Tower with unusual rules and gimmicks. The Isle of Armor does provide oꦺne form of new battling in the form of Restricted Sparring, but😼 this mode is somewhat difficult to play and not greatly rewarding beyond the first successes.

These challenges usually come as a package in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon games through 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a Battle Frontier, but just having a few alternate and separate facilities would make up for Galar's unexciting Battle Tower. It's already been revealed that the Crown Tundra will feature a Galar Star Tournament where players fight alongside Gym Leaders, but hopefully there ar♒e more battle challenges to come.

7 More Ways To ☂Gain Experience

One new trainer levelling up their Grookey slowly through battle

One of the odder additions with the Isle of Armor was the Exp. Charm, a new key item that would perpetually raise the number of experience points gained from battles. This is a great way to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:improve the speed of leveling up in Pokémon Sword & Shield, but the problem is t💎hat grinding experience points still uses sluggishly slow methods.

This could be combined with the Battle Facilities to provide high-level trainers to repeatedly fight, but just as helpful would be a way to convert the game’s several currencies like BP, Watts, and Money into Exp. Candies. Withou⭕t a new method, getting a Pokémon to level 100 requires an infuriati🎃ng amount of time.

6 New Battle Items ꦐ

Many of Pokémon Sword & Shield's best items are purchasable with BP

The Isle of Armor was especially giving to trainers who hadn’t collected many rarer items. The first time trainers enter the new area, there are tons of rare and valuable ob൩jects like the Flame and Toxic Orbs, weather-extending rocks, and even some evolutionary items. While it was great for the island to fill inventories, they still didn't contribute anything that wasn't obtainable already.

This is something the Crown Tundra can certainly do better, as new items already come with every new Pokémon game. With the additions of new Pokémon and moves that came with the last expansion to increase the options for trainers, it isn’t unimaginable to think new and unique battle items could also appear in the Crown Tundra.

5 🥂 Unlockable Cosmetics ඣ

One trainer's outfit featuring the tacky Replica Crown item

There were plenty of new cosmetics with the Isle of Armor DLC, but the primary way most of them are obtained is through 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Galar’s clothing stores. There’s little clothing on the actual Isle of Armor, and while it makes obtaining new cloওthing quite easy, it’s also quite unfulfilling.

The one unlockable cosmetic in the Isle of Armor was a crown received for completing the area’s Pokédex, and because of its challenge to obtain, many people wear it online despite looki♒ng terrible with every outfit. Buying clothing is unexciting, but this crown’s popularity proves that earning clothing through gameplay is a satisfying reward that trainers would greatly value.

4 ⭕ 𒅌 Trade Evolution NPCs

Slowking is one of few Pokémon that evolves through trading

One of the longest-running traditions of the Pokémon series is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:evolution through trading. Simply passing from one console to another can help evolve several old and new species, but not every 🃏trainer has friends to do this with. This task can also be a chore for those who do play with others, as it means evolving a Pokémon requires pl🤪anning and scheduling.

Because of this, it would be extremely helpful for the Crown Tundra to provide NPCs to trade and trade back with, helping evolve Pokémon like Machamp and Slowking more easily. This method of evolution can be extremely frustrating, and🧔 has needed alternate 🧸solutions for several generations.

3 🐻 Gigantamax Reversal 🍬

Charizard faces a titanic Duraludon in the Pokémon anime

It might seem odd to many trainers, but Gigantamax Forms aren’t always something trainers want. The main addition it provides is a unique G-Max move to replace the default Max Moves of a certain type, and ma📖ny of these aren't always useful. For example, if a Pokémon like Duraludon's Gigantamax Move that doesn’t help the trainer’s strategy, it often makes more sense to use the default Max Moves in its standard Dynamax Form.

Unfortunately, if you’ve used 💝Max Soup or caught a Gigantamax Pokémo🥃n from a Max Raid Battle, there’s no way to revert it to normal. It’s far from a serious or frequent concern, but having that option would be helpful for those who don’t want to train an entirely new Pokémon just to lose its inhibiting form.

2 ꦅ More Rental Teams

Two Rain Dance themed teams face off in the Battle Tower

Rental Teams were a great inclusion to the game, both for players unfamiliar with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:competitive battling and for those wishing to experiment. Most of them were built around a specific weather condition, ꦫand while they weren’t perfect competitive fighters, they provided trainers with something brand new to try in both online ranked battles, and the intimidating Battle Tower.

The Isle of Armor brought no new rental teams, but with battle modes like Restricted Sparring it’s disappointing to see the list of rental teams stay the same. Having a new set of Crown Tundra teams appear, or providing regula💮r new teams once the DLC releases, would help trainers who don’t have as much time to invest into the game.

1 ꦰ Classic Moves

Swirlix being damaged by the classic returning move Fire Spin

The Isle of Armor brought several new moves to the game through its move tutors, and with new signature moves for its newly introduced Pokémon. As great as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:these new attacks are, though, many of the series most beloved and powerful moves did not return in Pokémon Sword & Shield alongside many fan-favorite Pokémon.

Ma🙈ny of these included strong competitive moves like Return and Sky Uppercut, and while new moves can be fun, there’s still a library that would be great to see come back. Having more TMs and TRs of these historic moves would help this, but even just move tutors for them many classic options.
