Game Freak announced earlier this week that The Crown Tundra - the second part of the expansion pass - will be released on October 22nd, 2020. Along with a brand new story adventure, new features and new areas to explore, older generation Pokémon are making a return, as well as new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Galarian and Gigantamax forms.

10 Seel

This Generation One Water-type Pokémon has been a firm favourite of trainers since 1996. It’s light blue fur and graceful swimming style would be a perfect match for the frigid ocean surrounding the Crown Tundra. The light blue fur that covers it keeps it ꦆprotected against the cold and Seel can often be spotted by Trainers splashing around in iceberg-filled oceans.

According to the Pokedex, Seel relishes swimming in a frigid climate of around 14F degrees. Whilst the exact temperatu✃re of the Crown Tundra is unknown, the freezing cold conditions Trainers will battle against make for the p൩erfect Seel paradise.

9 Jynx

Jynx is a dual-type Ice/Psychic Pokémon first introduced in Generation 1. It’s been the centre of controversy in the past, with Game Freak redesigning this Pokémon in Generation 2 after a cultural critic claimed th🥀at Jynx was designed after negative racial stereotype of African-Americans. Jynx now sports a deep purple colouration, which many fans have theorised is based on frostbite, fitting with Jynx's Ice typing.

Furthermore, data miner and Twitter user claims to have alleged⛦ly found an unknown sound file for Jynx within Pokémon HOME, leading fans to believe Galarian Jynx could soon be coming to Sword & Shield.

8 Totodile

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starter Pokémon are some of the most instantly recognizable and beloved Pokémon designs out there. 🦋Th🎀ese Pokémon are the ones players start their adventure with and often lead their team to victory.

The bond between starter Pokémon and Trainer is so strong that, by lore, Mega Evolutions are an outcome of this bond. Kanto and Hoenn starters have got a Mega Evolution in previous games. Gigantamax Bulbasaur, Squirt🐎le and Charmander were even introduced to players in the first DLC - the Isle of Armour.

It’s about time ℱthat the J🍸ohto starters - Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile - got some love. A Gigantamax Feraligatr, with it’s resistance to Ice-type moves and powerful stats, would be a great addition to any team in The Crown Tundra.

7 Luvdisc

Luvdisc is a Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Trainers can find it along the shores of Route 128 & Evergrande City through fishing. According to its Pokedex 🦋entry, Luvdisc likes to li🍒ve in warm seas. The snow-swept realm of the Crown Tundra might not be the ideal place for Luvdisc, but Seel can be found in Alola. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to believe that Luvdisc, or perhaps a Galararian form of the heart-shaped Pokémon, could migrate to the colder oceans of The Crown Tundra. Plus, this Pokémon can learn the move Hail by TM, meaning that it can clearly thrive in colder climates.

6 Stantler

The Crown Tundra features a beautiful shining, silvery landscape, and there’s not an animal more suited to this majestic environment than a deer. Stantler is named after a stag (a male deer) and their iconic antlers. In many parts of the world, deers are seen as a Christmas staple. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Go introduced Stantl🍷er with Christmas Bells as part of their Christmas celebration in December 2019 to January 2020. This wonderful Pokémon could be found in a variety of ways, so eꦓverybody had a chance to get their hands on this cool design. It could be found in two-star raids, 2km eggs and in the wild, so Reindeer Stantler could be found in many Christmas themed teams.

If Stantler was brought to Pokémon Sword and Shield, it’s possible that L𒈔imited Edition Pokémon caught in Pokémon Go could be transferred to Galar through Pokémon Home. There’s no official word yet, b👍ut stay tuned for updates.

5 Omanyte

The Crown Tundra is home to frosty oceans and jagged winter mountains. Trainers who purchase the DLC will be tasked with investigating the reaches of this frozen land, including these perilous mountains. Omanyte was introduced in Generation One and is known as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:‘Fossil Pokémon’. It is long thought to be extinct, but its fossils have been excavated in areas that were once oceans long ago and it can be revived by scientists. with Pokemon Sword and Shield's focus on Fossil Pokemon, The Crown Tundra is the ideal location to find the Helix Fossil and add this dual-type Rock/Water Fossil Pokémon to💛 a Trainer’s team.

4 Kabuto

Just like Omanyte, Kabuto is a dual-type Rock/Water Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. If Tr🧜ainers chose the Dome Fossil in Mt Moon and took it to a scientist in the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island, they could revive Kabuto and add it to their Pokedex.

Kabuto is said to resemble a horseshoe crab. It, and its evolved form Kabutops, share a category name with Blastoise, known as 𒉰the Shellfish Pokémon. With a mostly flat brown shell and two eyes used for sight when hiding on the ocean floor, this Fossil Pokémon should be introduced along with its Helix Fossil counterpart, Omanyte in The Crown Tundra.

3 Spheal

Spheal is a chubby, seal-like Pokémon that is beloved by the Pokémon community for being so impossibly round. Along with having plushy light blue fur🐲, adorable beady eyes and a toothy grin, Spheal is a great addition to any team. If Spheal was introduced in the Crown Tundra, its abilities Thick Fat, which halves the power of Fire and Ice-type moves, and Ice Body, which heals Spheal's HP during hailstorms, could lead to some great strategies.

Some eagle-eyed gamers have spotted these lovable round Pokémon in some prerelease material, specifically the giving Trainers more details on what they can exp🔴ect from The Crown Tundra. Spheal, Sealeo and Walrein will likely be making their Gaꦅlarian debut when The Crown Tundra releases later this month.

2 Clamperl

This 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Water-type Pokémon was introduced in Generation 3 and is based on Trainers deepsea diving for p🐼earls. Clamperl is also the only Pokémon currently that evolves based on the item that is being held. Item-based evolution was not a new idea in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire; Onix would evolve into Steelix when traded holding a Metal Coat in Generation One. However, Clamperl can evolve into two d💞ifferent Pokémon depending on its item. It evolves into Huntail when traded if it is holding a Deep Sea Tooth or into Gorebyss when traded holding a Deep Sea Scale. This would be a great opportunity to evolve Clamperl when trading up from past games into Galar and would encourage more people to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online.

1 Gogoat

Gogoat looking to the left over a blue background

Gogoat is a Grass-type Pokémon native to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kalos region. In The Crown Tundra, players will be tasked with being the leader of their exploration team. Coming up against a snowy, icy tundra, packed with hazardous mountains, Train🐷ers will need a reliable native to mountains on their team. Gogoat is based on a mountain goat and is frequently used as a motorcycle in Kalos, with NPCs riding on their backs and using their beach bar-like horns to steer. It also has the highest base HP stat of all Grass-type Pokémon, meaning it can survive deadly Ice-type moves with ease.

The Crown Tundra launches as the second-part of the Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC on October 22nd, 2020. Players will need the base game Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield before being able to play The Isle of Armour and The Crown Tundra. If you have neither of these, Game Freak plans to releas﷽e bundles with both expansions on November 6th, 2020.
