Two breakout stars of are the Galarian forms of Farfetch'd and Ponyta. The two Pokémon are classic favorites, and their new redesigns give them even more personality. More importantly, they also get more strength in battle. Galarian Farfetch'd can evolve into Sirfetch'd, a Fighting-type with a giant leek sword. Ponyta, meanwhile, becomes a unicorn Rapidash with Psychic and Fairy dual-typing. Powerful and popular as they are, finding these Pokémon is not a straightforward task. Here's how to get your very own Sirfetch'd and Galarian Rapidash.
Evolving Sirfetch'd
To evolve a Galarian Farfetch'd you must have a copy of Pokémon Sword. Those playing Shield cannot find the bird, and have to trade for it. If you are playing Sword, look around Route 5. It has a very low spawn rate, but it will eventually show up walking around in the open. Just keep wandering until you see one and have enough Pok🦋é Balls ready.
The for Farfetch'd is three critical hits in one battle. that some Farfetch'd come with a held item called Leek. Make sure the one you catch is holding one. This item boosts the Pokémon's critical hit rate and so makes the process easier.
Next, find a trainer with a lot of Pokémon to fight. This will give your Farfetch'd more chances to crit thrice in one battle. If you're really in a rush, you can turn off autosave. Save before the trainer battle, and restart until you get three critical hits. Then enjoy a very early game Sirfetch'd.
Evolving Galarian Rapidash
While Pokémon Sword owners get exclusive access to Farfetch'd, Shield players get this little pony. Galarian Ponyta only seems to appear in the Glimwood Tangle, near Ballonlea. The search is made difficult by the fact that no Pokémon roam openly in Glimwood Tangle. You'll have to take to the tall grass to find Ponyta.
Evolving Ponyta is a lot easier than evolving Farfetch'd. All you have to do is get Ponyta to level 38. Then you'll have the majestic unicorn version of Rapidash.
