Where can't you find Chewtle? In both Sword & Shield, the little guy is all over the early routes. To be specific, it will spawn in Ro💮ute 2, Route 4, Route 5, Galar Mine No. 2, Giant's Cap, Giant's Mirror, Hulbury, Motostoke, Motostoke Outskirts, and Motostoke Riverbank. How To Evolve Chewtle Into Drednaw (And Get Gigantamax Drednaw)

Evolving Chewtle into Drednaw is as easy 🐓as reaching level 22. Or you could just find Drednaw wild in Route 2, Route 6, Bridge Field, Dusty Bowl, Galar Mine No. 2, Giant's Cap, Giant's Mirror, Lake of Outrage, and West Lake Axewell. They're often wandering spawns.

The real trick with Drednaw is getting its Gigantamax form. This is something you can't do by just leveling up. You have to catch a Gigantamax-capable Drednaw specifically from a Gigantamax Raid Battle. The only place where one of these shows up is Giant's Cap. Check the dens there regularly, and pay attention to Pokémon and/or Nintendo's official Twitter account t🐽o see if there any๊ special Gigantamax events going on. Gigantamax Drednaw is easier to find when it's part of an event.

What Drednaw Does In Battle

With its strong jaw, Drednaw is a strong attacker. That makes it great for physical attacks. ♔Stone Edge takes advantage of its Rock-type, and Liquidatio🧸n makes use of its Water-type. It has the Ability Swift Swim, which can raise its Speed when it rains. This makes it ideal for a rain team, in which case you may want to either give it Rain Dance or put it on a Double battle team with a Rain Dance user.

In Gigantamax form, Drednaw gains the G-Max Stonesurge movᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚe. This does amazing water damage and scatters Stealth Rocks around the field. This makes Gigantamax Drednaw a strong lead.
