Pokémon Sword and Shield make the goal of catching them all the easiest yet, mostlꦜy because they're 🌌not really all there. Since about half the known aren't accessible in the games, a trainer need only catch 400 to have a full Pokédex. That said, some of the critters can be shy. Take Morpeko, the hungry Pikachu-esque Electric/Dark-type used by Marnie.
Morpeko has a 5% chance of appearing at best in both Sword and Shield. That makes it pretty easy to miss if a trainer just lightly explored the various routes while completing the story. So let's get in to exact⛄ly where to find the little guy.
Where To Find Morpeko
There are three places where one can find Morpeko, and they're exactly the same for both Sword and Shield. The first is Route 7, that very short path to the east♑ of Hammerlocke. Morpeko has a 5% chance of coming out to walk around in the overworld ꦉat levels 37-41.
Later on, Morpeko can again be encountered right outside of Spikemuth's closed gate. This time it's more hidden, having a 5% chance to appear inside the tall grass as a random encounter. It'll appear at levels 40-44 here. Which is interesting, because one could assume this is where Marnie found her Morpeko. It is right outside⛄ her home, after all. But Marnie's Morpeko is definitely below level 40 when you first battle her. Is she using hacks?
The final place to find Morpeko is in the Wild Area's Lake of Outrage. This is where to go if you want the highest level Morpeko, as it comes at around level 60. However, this is also where it has the lꦍowest chance of appearing. It will only come out during a Thund🌟erstorm, and even then only 4% of the time.
How To Evolve Morpeko
Morpeko does not evolve. It does, however, have a different form. At then end of every turn, it will alternate between its Full Belly Form and Hangry Form. This will change the type of its unique attack, Aura Wheel, b💟etween Electric and Dar💝k. Full Belly gets Electric and Hangry gets Dark.
What Morpeko Does In Battle
As a tiny rodent that can't evolve, Morpeko isn't the definition of meta. But if you insist on using it, Aura Wheel is a must. The attack raises Morpeko's Speed every time it's used, so if it can survive long enough to gain momentum it will go firsꦫt every time. It can benefit from aཧ Choice Band to help it hit harder. Focus on its Attack and Speed, and Morpeko might pull off a victory with pure feistiness.
