The release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Sword and Shield had one of the most divisive receptions for a mainline 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon game, with some players loving the new Wild 🎶Area and Max Raid battles, while others couldn't get past the dated graphics, recycled anima🦂tions, and the culling of over half of the Pokédex.
The Expansion Pass has largely addressed some of the issues players had with the base game, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Isle of Armor bringing back old Pokémon and mechanics as well as introducing several new ones. The Crown Tundra looks to be going in the same directi💮on, with a handful of new features being introduced into the game, inclu♛ding the Galarian Star Tournament.
10 Galaria🉐n Star T🍨ournament
A doubles format in the Pokémon League was something that should have been linked to Raihan at the very least, since ✃hꦓis gym battle was centered around a doubles format as well as different weather effects.
This made his gym battle stand out much more from other gym leaders, as he was the only leader with no type specialty, instead going for a certain battle strategy that is fairly common competitively. The Galarian Star Tournament takes this format and expands on it to include every other character who was involved in the original Pokémon League, as well as new faces like Mustard, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Avery, and Klara.
9 ಌ Star Tournament 𓆏Partner Interactions
One feature that has been teased, but with not a lot of dialogue shown, is how each partner will interact with each other during the Galarian Star League. Obvious pairings like Piers and Marnie or Hop and Leon were shown, but there are also other combinations that would stand out considering their relationship. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bede and Opal are the first that come to mind, as their end-game adventures around who will take over the Ballonlea gym made for some hilarious dialogue between the two, but there is also an opportunity for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gordie and Melony to be partners as well.
While this mother and son pair don't appear in the same game, it could go a long way to repairing their rocky relationship to allow them to♊ battle side by side.
8 ꦉ ꦚ Dynamax Adventures
Arguably the biggest draw of The Crown Tundra is the new Dynamax Adventures mechanic, which allows players to dive deeper into a Raid Den than they ever have before, battling Dynamax Pokémon one after another to reach more powerful legendari🀅es.
While there is still a lot of unknowns surrounding Dynamax Adventures, it is known that players won't be taking their own partners into this challenge, instead using a variety of rental Pokémon with specific movesets and held items. This might be a turn off for some, but considering not everything has been shown about this mechanic yet, it could end up being a new favorite challenge for manꦺy players.
7 Endless Dynamဣax Adventures ꦐ
♛Aside from the base mode of Dynamax Adventures, there is also Endless Dynamax Adventures, where players can, as the namꦜe suggests, continue diving deeper inside Raid Dens until they are eventually removed once they lose enough times.
This mode in p♏articular hasn't been expanded upon aside from being named and given a basic overview of ♊what it is, so there may be much more to this than first meets the eye.
6 ✱ Roaming Pokémon 🧸
In a blink and you'll miss it moment in the trailer for The Crown Tundra, there is a brief scene of the player character chasing down Galarian Articuno in the overworld, suggesting that roaming legendaries are re⭕turning.
Considering the vastly changed way in which players interact with wild Pokémon compared to past titles, this new way of implementing roaming Pokémon could make it a fun way of tracking down legendary Pokémon. This would be a nice change as opposed to past titles where it was a massive headache, like it was chasing down the legendary beasts in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gold and Silver or Latios and Latias in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ruby and Sapphire.
5 Partner Pokémon ♒
Re-introduced in The Isle of Armor, partner Pokémon that follow the player has been shown returning in the Crown Tundra trailer, though the manner in which they are returning has yet to be seen. Unlike in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:HeartGold and SoulSilver or the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Let's Go titles, the partner Pokémon here don't match the players walking speed, meanin🗹g they are often left behind, especially when the player uses the bicycle.
In a very brief section of the trailer, it shows a Virizion keeping up pace with its trainer, so this may have been rectified in The Crown Tundra, but it hasn't been confirmed🌜 if thi𝕴s is the case.
4 New Customization𝔉 Options ꦉ
Like in The Isle of Armor, players are given new ways to customize their characters in The Crown Tundra, with notable options being to model characters after NPCs such as Marnওie and Chairman Rose, though the extent of this customization hasn't🦩 been shown yet.
There is also a very brief flash of a male🏅 character dressed in Team Flare's signature look and a female character wearing Ghetsis' eye patch, which could suggest many more customization options that have already been shown.
3 ♐ Exploring With Peony
The main story in The Crown Tundra seems to involve exploring the overworld with Peony, a man who looks eerily similar to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chairman Rose, though a little more down to earth than the man who tried ꦐto fix a ꦇpotential energy crisis by destroying the world.
There are a handful of cutscenes showing the player with Peony as they explore the Crowඣn Tundra, though there have yet to be any specifics 𝄹on what the player or Peony will be doing on their adventures.
2 Legendary H🉐unting
Even aside from Dynamax Adventures, there are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:many legendary Pokémon to fin💞d in the Crown Tundra, with the most notable being the Galarian legendary birds, the two new Regi's, Regiele💮ki and Regidrago, and Calyrex.
While the birds seem to be tied significantly to a giant tree found in the Crown Tundra and the Regi's will be tied to ruins like their Hoenn counterparts, there isꦜn't as many details on Calyrex aside from its Grass/Psychic-ty﷽ping and that it has a Triforce on its body for some reason.
1 What♛ Hasn't Been Announced
As was the case with The Isle of Armor, it is highly likely that fans haven't seen everything The Crown Tundra has to offer in t🌄he trailers and announc⭕ements seen so far.
Mechanics like Restricted Sparring and partner Pokémon weren't shown at all in Isle of Armor promotions, so it's not outsid💛e the realm of possibility that there are still aspects of the Expansio෴n Pass that have yet to be seen.
