In your main playthrough, this might be a helpful move thanks to its inability to miss, and unlike many Grass-type moves, it also can be taught to many P💯okémon that aren’t Grass-types. Sadly, its damage output is quite weak compared to other high-accuracy moves you can learn later on, so it’s usually better to replace this move with a stronger one whenever you’re able.
8 G𝐆ordie: Rock Tomb
The Rock Tomb TM won’t be found by a Gym Leader for everyone, as it can only be obtained in Pokémon Shield from a man south of the Pokémon Center in Circhester. This is because Pokémon Sword features a Rock-type Gym Leader named Gordie that gives it to successful trainers, who’s replaced by Melody in Pokémon Shield.
This is quite fortunate, because Rock Tomb is significantly more useful than some TMs in the game. Not only is it teachable to tons of Pokémon of varying types, but decreasing a foe’s speed can be a great utility 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:for slower Pokémon. Its damage is still fairly insignificant, but is a much more reasonable option than many Pokémo♏n’s default attacks.
7 🌺 Melony: Icy Wind ♌
Since Gordie isn’t in Circhester in Pokémon Shield, Melony instead has to give her own𝓰 slightly﷽ superior TM. This would be Icy Wind, an Ice-type equivalent that slows opponents and deals damage to both opponents in Double Battles.
This attack is outclassed in damage by Ice Beam and Blizzard, but this TM gives an immense boost against the upcoming Ground and Dragon-type expert, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gym Leader Raihan. If you’re playing in Pokémon Sword, the same man in Circhester that gives out Rock Tomb in Pokémon Shield will give you Icy Wind instead, and it’s strongly recommended you pick it up before yoඣur final Gym Battle.

Fairy-type moves can be extremely hard to come by in Pokémon Sword & Shield. After their debut in Pokémon X & Y, common powerful moves like Play Rough and Moonblast became far less common, and Gym Leader Opal’s 🅠gift of Draining Kiss is n𝄹ot a great substitute.
This move deals some light damage and heals the user by most of the damage, but because it’s a fairly weak attack it rarely does enough to justify the healing effect. Pokémon with massive Special Attack can get some great use out of it, but very few Pokémon can utilize it well eno♏ugh to use it over other Fairy-type alternatives.
5 ಞ ൲ Piers: Snarl
On the better half of Gym Leader gifts, Piers gives trainers a much more useful attack in the form of Snarl. This Dar𓄧k-type attack deals some moderate damage to all opponents, but also decreases the Special Attack stat of any opponents hit by it.
This is a great move in competitive battling since it can debilitate most Special Attackers with only one or two hits, but this move is just as useful in through the last chunk of your main playthrough. Gym Leader Bea’s TM of Revenge is an exceptionally underrated Fighting-type move. This attack deals a solid 60 damage on its own, but if it takes damage before its turn ꧂it’ll deal twice as much damage, putting it on the same level as other competitive attacks like Close Combat.
This condition is exꦉtremely easy to fill, as most of your opponents will usually stick to fast Pokémon with simple damage attacks. Revenge lets many slow Pokémon deal far more damage than it would normally allow, making several physically-offensive tanks like Hitmontop far more effective than they would be otherwise.
2 Allister: Hex 𝔉
Pokémon Shield 🃏players might not get Bea and mustꦫ acquire Revenge from elsewhere, but they get an astonishingly more powerful TM from Allister in the form of Hex. This Ghost-type special attack deals twice as much damage to opponents with status conditions, but on its own has a surprisingly strong 65 base power.
