Pokémon Sword and Shield are two of the most divisive games in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon main series. Some of the controversies can be boiled down to the game's 🅠characters. Hop is an example of a character who may have prevented the games from reaching their potential.

Hop is the main rival in Pokémon Sword and Shield, who lives next door. His brother is the Galar Pokémon champion. The Pokémon community is in an uproar over the affable Hop. On one side of the spectrum, we have people who are aggravated by Hop, while 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:others want to defend his quirks. We will attempt to separate hatred from criticism and dissect the character of Hop. These are 5 reasons we like Hop♑🅷 (and 5 why we don't).

10 He's A Helpful Friend (Like) ⛄ 𒐪

Even though he is unlike most rivals we've encountered in the Pokémon🍒 games, we like Hop because he's there for you. As someone who is a true friend, he doesn't hesit💮ate to .

Pokémon Sword and Shield gives you a few rivals to compete aga🐽inst during your travels. Despite having the same goal to become a champion, Hop will assist, even if it's inconvenient for him. For being such a helpful friend, we like 🔯Hop.

9 He's Always Bothering 𒁃You (Don't Like) ♊

It would seem like at every turn, Hop is waiting for you to give some lame instructions. Sure, Pokémon Sword and Shield has to appeal to newcomers of the series, yet it seems li🍸ke they offered annoyi𝔉ng tutorial tips when the situation didn't call for it.

If only Hop stopped bothering the main player, the games could have provided an immersive experien꧟ce like Generations II and III. Hop's dialogue needs work, and itও's one of the reasons we dislike him.

8 𓆏 He's Got A Cheery Attitude (Like)

One thing that we can't hate about Hop (although plenty of people will find a way to) is that he has a cheery attitude. He is rarely upset and is energetic an⭕d friendly towards other trainers. Hop is enthusiastic about being a Pokémon trainer at nearly every turn. There are a plethora of reasons to dislike Hop, but the fact he 💫has a cheery attitude makes it hard to hate him completely. He is genuinely a nice person, and we can put our doubts aside that he wants to help the main character.

7 ꦐ  He Is Emotional (Don't Like)

Towards the end of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Hop begins to get ༺emotional over the fact he didn't win the championship, and his work as a trainer was for nothing. Hop was distraught over his failure, but at the end of the day, he's a new trainer who made it quite far.

Pokémon trainers train their entire life to become the champion and fall short. Hop's emotions get the best of him. He needs to be more op🍰timistic and make the best of his situation.

6 ♛ He's A Pokémon Trainer (Like)

Once again, the Pokémon company chose a rival who is a Pokémon trainer. Since he shares this in common with the main character, we can relate to Hop. It would be strange if Hop were not a Pokémon trainer, and instead, someone who provides tutorial tips. The Pokémon Company found lots of successes in the Pokémon games. Deciding to make Hop a Pokémon trainer 💧who battles you is a good idea.

5 He Loses Pokémon Battles (Don'tജ Like) 𝓡

Rival Hop loses a lot of Pokémon battles against you in Sword and Shield. He also loses clashes against other trainers. Rivals from previous Pokémon games were much more capable trainers than what we were given in Sword and Shield. If only developer GameFreak increased the difficulty of Pokémon Sword and Shield, we could have liked the game more. They even made Hop's starter Pokémon not very effective against the main character's Pokémon. Trainers like Hop are too💫 easy to beat.

4 🦹 His Brother Is The Ch🐎ampion (Like)

This may be a shallow reason to like Hop, but the fact that his brother is the champion can be seen as a reason to like him. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Champion Leon is famous and is given exclusive opportunities to meet people like Chairman Rose, the chairman of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Galar Pokémon league. Leon gives you your starter Pokémon at the 🍰beginning of the game, and he endorses you personally. For being related to this fierce competꦛitor, we like Hop.

3 He's Unlike Rival Blue (Don't Like) ♎

There are a few 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:similarities between Trainer Blue and Hop, but mostly differences. While Trainer Blue lives next door and wants to become a Pokémon champion, these are about the only things the two ch൲aracters have in c♎ommon.

Trainer Blue is an adept Pokémon trainer who gives players a tough battle at every turn. He becomes a Pokémon champion by beating the Elite Four and all the gym leaders. Spoiler Alert!! Hop doesn't win the Pokémon c🌊hampionship, and he trails in your shadow throughout the game.

2 ꦓ He Lives Next Door (Like) 🅺

Pokémon Sword and Shield stay true to the original games by featuring a rival who lives next door. Hop is, of course, a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:different charaܫcter than Trainer Blue, but he is someone with likable qualities. He has more characteristics about him, giving him mor🧸e depth than other Pokémon characters. He can be considered a dynamic character who changes throughout the game. The fact the rival still lives next door is another reason to like Hop.

1 Boring Dialogue (Don't Like) 🍌 🉐

There are times when Hop's fruitful dialogue proves to be t▨oo much. From the beginning of the game, Hop 🌄is known for butting into conversations. He talks when we wish the protagonist had spoken.

Since the protagonist is supposed to be you and having them speak would break immersion, it's Hop who speaks most of the time. It's almost like Hop is🔥 there to speak for you. His monotonous dialogue hold𝕴s the game back at times.
