Scorbunny was a breakout hit when it was first revealed. Aside from sporting an adorable, peppy design, it also embodies one of the core aspects of the setting: soccer. The sport is huge in the UK and Sword/Shield's version of Pokémon sports is an obvious homage to UK soccer culture. So who d🌃oesn't want a showboating soccer star for a starter Pokémon? Here's how you can have Scorbunny, evolve it to Cinde🃏race, and have it join the other two starters in your Pokédex.
Where To Find Scorbunny
As a starter Pokémon, the only way to get Scorbunny through normal gameplay is to pick it at the beginning of the game. Starter Pokémon don't spawn in the wild. Getting all thre🌌e requires some help from other players.
The easiest way to get a Scorbunny is to tra🐲de with a friend. Breed an extra Grookey or Sobble, whichever you picked, and trade it for a friend's Scorbunny. If you don't have a friend who's willing to trade, you'll have to turn to the internet. Thankfully, dedicated fans have to help each other make starter Pokémon trades.
To participate in the player-made system, select the "Link Trade" option from the Y-Comm menu. Your Switch will need to be connected for the internet for this to work. After picking Link Trade, the game will ask if you want to "Set a Link Code." Pick that option. These Link Codes are what players are using to coordinate special trades without the need to actually talk to one another. Type in 7301 to make 🔴a Grookey for Scorbunny trade, and 7303 to make a Sobble for Scorbunny trade. You'll be able to see what the opponent is trading before you confirm, so you don't have to worry about being cheated.
How To Evolve Scorbunny Into Cinderace
Scorbunny𝓡 wilꦰl evolve into Raboot at level 16 and Cinderace at level 35.
Cinderace will be able to achieve a Gigantamax form when the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion releases. The details will be clear then, but the developers have said that players will be able to Gigantamax their original starter. This is unlike most Gigantamax-capable Pokémon that need to be caught through special ♚raids.
What Cinderace Does In Battle
Cinderace is the best of the Galar starter Pokémon when it comes to battle. It's fast and hits hard, and also has one ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚof the coolest-looking moves in the game: Pyro Ball. Its other signature move is Court Change, which flips the position of battlefield hazards like Spikes or Stealth Rock. Since some competitive strategies rely on hazards, being able to use them against their creator is a huge game-changer.
