9 ꦕ Head To Ballonlea 😼
The Love Ball is an adorable pink and white ball with a heart placed on the front of it. Finding it isn't too hard though it will take you some time to reach the Love Ball's location if you're just starting Sword or Shield. You'll have to beat the first 4 gym leaders to gain the ability to fight the fifth gym leader, Opal, in Ballonlea. Travel from Stow-on-Side through the almost magical Glimwood Tangle to reach the even more magical Ballonlea, a town full of Fairy-type Pokémon. Once inside the stadium, you'll see Ball Guy, the Galar Pokémon League mascot.
8 ꦚ Talk🦂 To The Ball Guy
If you haven't spoken to one of these mascots yet, there is one located in almost every gym and they will reward players for talking to them with a special Pokéball, which in Ballonlea's gym is the Love Ball. After receiving your first Love Ball there are only 3 other ways to get one. One is from the Ball Guy when🀅 you defeat the Pokémon League the second time onward at Wyndon Stadium, though the Poké Balls he gives are randomly selected. Another is ꦜthrough trading with other players, though you'll have to hope that the player you're trading with is feeling generous. And the third way is through Watt Traders.
7 Watt Traders 𝕴 🌺
As you travel through the Wild Area you'll encounter many different things that will keep you busy during and after the main storyline. One is all the various strong Pokémon that wander around, another is the Max Raid Battles where you and a team battle against a Gigantamaxed Pokémon and the third are the different traders that you can find s🌟cattered about. One of these types of traders are Watt Traders, where you can exchange Watts (the currency you get from dens) for different items.
One of the items you can buy from these Watt Traders are the special Poké Balls, like the Love Ball. The inventories of the Watt Traders change every day, making it hard to know what special Poké Baಌll can be bought. So ꦉif you're hoping to stock up on Love Balls, save your Watts and buy them in bulk whenever they are made available. Luckily they're usually the cheapest item for sale, costing you 50 Watts per ball.
6 ജ 📖 When It First Appeared
The Love Ball isn't new to Pokémon. It first came around with Generation II, in the games Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, and the remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver. In the games, ♛players can receive a Love Ball in Azalea To🗹wn after helping out a Poké Ball creator named Kurt. Trading him any Apricorns you collect allows him to make them into different Poké Balls, and he uses Pink Apricorns for Love Balls.
Love Balls don't show up again in the games until Generation VII with Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. In Pokémon Sun and Moon, you can receive a Love Ball at the Malie Library in Malie City and one in Heahea City in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
5 🌜 What It Does 😼
Those who haven't encountered a Love Ball before might wonder what makes this cute ball so special? The Love Ball gets its namesake because of its special effect. Where Lure Balls increase the chances of catching Pokémon you find through fishing, and Dusk Balls help with Pokémon found at night or in dark caves, the Love Ball increases the chances of capturing a Pokémon of the opposite gender of your Pokémon.
In Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal it boosts a Pokémon's catch rate x8, though that still doesn't guarantee that the Pokémon will be caught.
4 Pokémon Have To Share Th൩e Same Pokꦿédex Number
The wild Pokémon also has to be the same species as the Pokémon sent out to battle. For example, if you battle against a wild Vulpix with a Vulpix of the opposite gender, the catch rate goes up, but the catch rate won't change if it's a Vulpix against a Ninetails of the opposite gender, despite both being categorized as "Fox" Pokémon. Otherwise, it works as a normal Pokéball. It also doesn't get that boost to its catch rate if either Pokémon is genderless.
3 Appearances Outside🐎 The Game 🌞
In the original anime during the Indigo League season, the Love Ball makes its first anime appearance as Ash, Misty and Brock meet the Poké Ball craftsman Kurt while delivering him the mysterious GS ball. While going up into the mountains to collect the different varieties of A🐻pricorns, so that Kurt will make them different Poké Balls, Kurt's granddaughter helps Ash and his🦋 friends, explaining which Poké Balls are crafted from each variety of Apricorn.
And the first one she explain༺s is Pink Apricorn which makes Love Balls. Love Balls also make an appearance in the manga, though briefly.
2 Effects In Other Games 🌃
Interestingly enough, though the Love Ball's effect is supposed to work on the capture rate of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon of the opposite gender, it ended up doing the opposite. There is a glitch in Gold, Silver, and Crystal that increased the capture rate of Pokémon of the same gender who were the same species.
It is an interesting and amusing glitch that makes the Love Ball useless for its intended use, but can potentially be useful for Pokémon that have an unequal ratio of Male to Female.
1 🙈 When Not To Use It
Also, when it comes to the Dark-type move Fling, the move will automatically fail if the user is holding a Love Ball or any other type of Poke Ball. Love Balls can't be held by Pokémon in Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver because Pokémon from those games can be to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum and Love Balls don't exist🌸 in those games.
