Additionally, the new DLC gives you a h🐻andy upgrade for your Rotom bike, meaning you can go even faster than before. This bike is named so bec🐓ause it is powered by the rather special Pokémon called Rotom. If you have yet to capture one for your Pokédex, read on to find out where you can get one, as well as discover some interesting facts about it.

10 Whe💜re to Fi♔nd Rotom

Even if you haven't caught a Rotom yet, you should be fairly familiar with this Pokémon as it powers your bike, Pokédex, smartphone, and the Rotomi machine in the Poké Center. Rotom can possess certain electrical items as its body is made of plasma.

You can find Rotom in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wild Area, by heading to the island in the Lake of Outrage. It's a rare spawn, so you may need to spend some time finding him. Additionally, if you own the Isle of Armor DLC, you 🦄can find him on an island in the Workout Sea.

9 How to Change Rotom's Form

Rotom has six forms including its original Electric/Ghost type. You can change its form at any point after reaching Wyndon in the storyline. In Wyndon, head south from the stadium and go into the second to last house. Defeat the trainer inside and he will give you a Rotom Catalog as a reward, which will allow you to change Rotom's form.

Rotom's other forms include Heat Rotom (Microwave Oven) Electric/Fire type, Wash Rotom (Washing Machine) Electric/Water type, Frost Rotom (Refrigerator) Electric/Ice type, Fan Rotom (Electric Fan) Electric/Flying type, and Mow Rotom (Lawnmower) Electric/Grass type.

8 ꦡ ꦯ Even its Base Form is a Posessessed Item

Many players have long believed that the base Rotom form is the Pokémon's true appearance, and of course, all of its other forms are when it possesses other items. However, the Rotom Catalog item in Pokémon Sword and Shield actu꧃ally expl♉ains that the base form Rotom is when Rotom possesses a light bulb.

This leads fans to wonder what Rotom looks like when it doesn't possess anything, or is it just a pure ball of energy? Is it even able to survive without possessing anything?

7 𝕴 Legendary Sound

Rotom debuted in generation four, which encompasses Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Interestingly, when players encounter Rotom in the Old Chateau area in these games, the music that plays is the one that plays when players enter into 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:legendary Pokémon encounters.

However, Rotom is not a legendary and never has been. Rotom is the only known occurrence of a Pokémon having legendary music when it isn't legendary. This has led to some players mistakenly believing Rotom to be some kind of pseudo-legendary.

6 Genderless Pok&eacu🐬te;mon 🌱

Rotom is one of the many Pokémon that has no assigned gender within the game franchise, but it was the first Pokémon to actually be mentioned in the Pokémon anime as being genderless.

There are over 100 Pokémon that have no assigned gender, with most of these being legendaries. Interestingly, generation seven added most of the genderless Pokémon to the series, introducing a total of 29 Pokémon without an assigned gender. Due to their unassigned gender status, these Pokémon can only be bred with a Ditto.

5 Mﷺischief Maker 🐎

Despite featuring as a rather helpful Pokémon in both the games and anime at times, such as the Pokédex Rotom, smartphone Rotom, and others, this Pokémon is actuallജy ver🍌y mischievous by nature.

Its Diamond Pokédex entry for its base form reads "It is known to infiltrate electronic devices and wreak havoc." Its variant forms are listed as playing pranks using their different types, such as Heat Rotom's Pokédex entry in Shield reading, "This form of Rotom enjoys making mischief by turning up the heat. It will gleefully burn your favorite outfit."

4 Rotom's Design

Rather interestingly, each of Rotom's different forms, including its original base form, were all designed by completely different designers. Ken Sugimori designed Rotom’s base form, Lee HyunJung designed Heat Rotom, Hiroki Fuchino designed Wash Rotom, Hironobu Yoshida designed Frost Rotom, Motofumi Fujiwara designed Fan Rotom, and lastly, Yusuke Ohmura designed Mow Rotom.

Rotom currently has no known evolution, with many fans believing this is due to the Pokémon having so many variants already, much like how Unown doesn't evolve because it too already has many forms.

3 ꦰ Pokémon Types

When Rotom was first introduced in generation four, it had the Electric/Ghost type regardless of what form it was in. This was later changed, with its forms gaining their own different types. This makes Rotom the only Pokémon to have had its type changed🍎 without it being due to a new type being introduced.

Even though Fan Rotom became a flying type, it retained its Levitate ability, resulting in it being the only Pokémon where this occurs. Effectively, the Levitate ability is useless for Fan Rotom apart from Inverse Battles, as since it became a Flying t𓂃ype it is already immune to ground attacks.

2 ♑ Inspiration

Rotom shares a lot of design similarities with Pulseman's title character, which is no coincidence as Pulseman was also designed by Ken Sugimori, and the game was also developed by Game Freak. It also wouldn't be the first reference to Pulseman, with the series including many other nods to the game, such as Pokémon's Volt Tackle's ability name in Japanese being "Volteccer", the same name as Pulseman's signature move.

It's also likely that its design was inspired by the phenomena of ball lightning, as well as poltergeists, explaining why Rotom can "possess" objects.

1 Rotom's Name

Rotom's name is actually the word "motor" backward, which is apt considering it does the reverse of a motor. While motors are known to make things run properly, most Rotoms make machines fail as they are mischievous Pokémon. Of course, there are exceptions, with some Rotoms being helpful, such as the Pokédex Rotom.

Additionally, in Pokémon Platinum, it is revealed that🤪 the first Rotom was found when it emerged from a lawnmower motor, so the discoverer named it Rotom based on this discovery.
