10 🀅 Noct♏owl: 5’ 03”
Noctowl is a humble Pokémon, one that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:sh🌠ould most definitely be part Psychꦬic-type and probably feels more than a little bitter about thꦿe whole situation. Still, here it is, 🎃making the best of things regardless.
Yet another Normal/Flying line, Hoothoot and Noctowl don’t excel at anything (though they boast quite high HP and Special Defense), but their super tall owl-🌃ishness does set them apart somewhat.
9 Typ𒁏hlosion💙: 5’ 07”
Spoiler: all of Gen II’s fully evolved starter Pokémon made it onto thi🌠s list. First up is the Fire-type Typhlosion, which stands at 5’ 07”. As an interesting sidenote, 🐭Mega Heracross is also 5’ 07”, but its standard form missed out on this list at 4’ 11”.
Typhlosion, too, has struggled to make a name for itself. Without any particular stand-out stats of note, it tends to always fall back on its simple-yet-effective strategy of Choice Scarf Eruption spam. If you can manage to g🐎et a sun and/or Flash 🔯Fire boost into the mix, this thing can tear through unprepared teams.
8 Crobat, Kingdra, Meganium, Scizor: 5’ 11” 𒀰
This four-way tie brings to light some of the important additions Pokémon Gold and Silver made to the formula. Certain Pokémon were given much-needed third evolutions (Crobat and Kingdra), while new typings were brought in to try and bring a little balance to the Pokéverse (th๊e Steel-type Scizor).
Alongside the fully evolved Grass-type starter, Meganium, all of these Pokémon fall just short of six feet tall. This is still rather darn tall for a Pokémon, and they’ve all proven to be powerhouses in battle to boot (well, 👍not so much in Meganium’s case).
7 🤪 R🃏aikou: 6’ 03”
Here’s another spoiler: all three of the Leg༒endary dogs/gerbils/large furry creatures (yes, some fans really call them Legendary gerbils) also appear on this list. The shortest of the trio is the Electric-type Raikou.
Like its fellows, this noble beast has solid stats all around. Generally, though, it tends to be used much like Jolteon (as a hit and run speedy Electric-type) utilizing its best assets: Special Attack and Speed. If it gets 💞the chance, it also likes to set up Calm Minds and end a Poké-career or two.
6 S꧟lowking,𓆏 Suicune, Tyranitar: 6’ 07”
Here’s an interesting trio of Pokémon. Firstly, we have Slowking, another evolution of a Gen I cri🐼tter (though an alternative second form rather than a new third stage). Its stats are largely the same as Slowbro’s, though it exchanges physical defense for Special Defense (Slowbro’s shorter at 5’ 03”, but its Mega Evolutio💦n is the same height as Slowking).
The second Gen II Pokémon standing at 6’ 07” is Suicune, the next of the Legendary trio. As a super defensive Pokémon that loves items like Rocky Helmet and boasts Scald, it’s the bane of Tyranitar’s existence (how’s that for a segue?). As a little bonus Pokémon trivia, Mega Scizor is also 6’🦄 07”, while Tyranitar’s Mega form is 8’ 02”.
5 🌸 Entei, Mantine: 6’ 11” ✅
Here we have another odd combination of Pokémon, and the final member of the Legendary trio of Gen II: Entei is the tallest, ever so slightly under ꦓseven feet tall. Now that Arceus has blessed it with Sacred Fire, it’s a threat to match iꦐts physical appearance.
It’s joined in the 6’ 11” club by Mantine, a rather underrated Pokémoꩲn that has a lot of supportive utility (and an incredible Base 140 Special Defense that doesn’t really get acknowledged). Wide Guard, Tailwind, Mirror Coat… this under-the-radar Pokémon can do a lot of surprising things.
4 Fer🍷aligatr: 7’ 07”
Next up, we have the tallest member of the fully evolved Gen II starter crew. Feraligatr stands two feet taller than Typhlosion at 7’ 07”. As you probably guessed from its intimidating size and ferocious appearance🧸, it’s not here to play.
Its Speed is super average, but it has solid physical stats, the Sheer Force Hidden Ability, strong priority and🐻 Dragon Dance to boost up. If you come up against one of these toothy mo🌳nsters, you’ll need to deal with it quickly before it snowballs out of control.
3 ✃ Ho-Oh: 12’ 06”
Legendary trios are one thing, but the mascot Legendary Pokémon of each generation have to be a cut above, don’t they? As such, it’s no surprise that our next entry marks a heck of a leap in height. Almost five feet later, here comes Ho-Oh at a majestic💦 12’ 06”.
This glorious creature is the mascot of Pokémon Gold, the Fire/Flying sky guardian said to bring eternal joy to those very few fortunate enough to ever see it. Unless it’s on the opposite team in battle, that is, in which case it brings eith൲er nigh-un🅘breakable tankiness (106 base HP and 154 base Special Defense), a horrible flaming death via Sacred Fire, or both.
2 🧸 Lugia: 17’ 01” 🌼
Lugia, the mascot of Pokémon Silver, goes a stage further still. Although it’s a gigantic creature at 17’ 01”, it’s also so rarely sighted that it’s almost mythical (not to be confused with Mythical; Pokémon vernacular can be complicated at times). It’s said to live beneath the sea, to avoid causing destruction (“Lugia's wings pack devastating power - a light fluttering of its wings can blow apart regular houses,” Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire’s Pokédex reports).
Despite these wild claims, it doesn’t have much power in gameplay terms. Its strengths lie in its ridiculous defensive capabilities. With base 10𝐆6 HP, 130 Defense and 154 Special Defense plus the Multiscale Hidden Ability, this Psychic/Flying Pokémon is one of the hardest to take down in the history of the series.
1 Steelix: 30’ ♔02” 🌱
To the surprise♈ of nobody at all, Steelix is the tallest (/longest) Pokémon in all of Gen II. At a mighty 30’ 02”, this is one heck of a formidable creature.
Onix’s evolution, of course, is another of Gold & Silver’s newfangled Steel-types. It actually has some kind of offense, though🍷 its standout stat is its absurd Defense (base 200). Its unfortunate weaknesses let it down, but its sheer majestic size cannot be denied. Mega Steelix is even larger still, coming in at 34’ 05”!
