10 Mew ex – $2.83 🔴

Leading Off With Number 151

The first of two Mew cards among the most valuable cards in Celebrations, this version features a throwback to Mew's Legend Maker artwork.

The Legend Maker Mew is far more valuable than this version, clocking in at around $150 – a common theme among some of the best Collections c𒉰ards.

Mew is always a popular choice to include in any set, particularly in special releases that pay homage to the most iconic Pokemon and cards in the TCG. While there are newer versions of Mew ex in Scarlet and Violet sets, this si💦mple art still stands tall.

9 🐓 Venusaur – $3.50 🌌

The First Starter Appearance

Venusaur is one of the original three starter Pokemon, each of which typically commands solid prices in the Pokemon TCG. While Venusaur is the least valuable of the three, it still boasts the beautiful original artwork from the base set.

At under $5, this is one of the most affordable Venusaur cards you'll find with such a fantastic design. Whether you're a fan of the Pokemon or not, you'll want to pick this card up while it's cheap. The base set version will always be more expensive, but this card is nearly identical if you want it for personal display.

Keeping The Starter Love Going

As soon as it was announced that Celebrations would feature reprints of base set cards, everyone knew to expect them to be among the most valuable cards to pull. Demand for base set cards is high, even if it's in a reprint product like this or XY Evolutions.

When Celebrations first launched, it was predicted that Blastoise would rise in value, which hasn't happened. Since its launch, Blastoise has plummeted down the list, losing almost $90 from its market price. It's fared better than Venusaur, at least, which barely makes the top ten.

7 Mewtwo EX – $4.80 🍸 𒀰

Mewtwo Maintains A Spot Among The Stars

The second EX card on this list is Mewtwo EX, first printed in Black & White Next Destinies. As one of the earliest EX Pokemon cards released, it's in this set as a cool historical card to showcase the debut of EX as a variant.

It would have been coolও if Celebrations included the alternative full art Mewtwo EX, which features a new etched foil printing process that made them very different to cards that had come before. But regardless, like Mew, Mewtwo is♏ always a popular inclusion in the TCG.

6 ____'s Pikachu – $5.04

Your Own Personal Pokemon Card

This Pikachu promo re-release features one of the most unique card names in the Pokemon TCG, as this Pikachu features a blank spot for you to write your name. While it's not a great idea to write your name on this card if you plan to sell it, there's an adorable opportunity here to add a special card to your collection.

While the original Wizards of the Coast (WotC) promo costs over $100, this version is a much cheaper option if you're planning to put pen to cardboard anyway.

5 🃏 M Rayquaza EX – 💛$9.96

A Roaring Return For Rayquaza

There's no denying it, M EX cards are some of the coolest cards in the Pokemon TCG, featuring eye-catching art that rivals 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best modern full-art designs. They were added as an expansion to the EX mechanic in X & Y to reflect the games' Mega Evolution theme.

They showcased Mega-evolved Pokemon like Swampert, Lucario, or, of course, Ray♛quaza.

Unlike EX Pokemon, which were usually Basics regardless of if they're evolved or not, M Pokemon still needed to be evolved onto an existing EX Pokemon – to play M Rayquaza EX, you needed a Rayquaza EX in play to evolve.

The coolest thing about them isn't their mechanics, though, it's the art. The languages were swapped, too, so while English and International cards had the Japanese for "Em💦erald Break" swooping in under Rayquaza, the Japanese cards had "EMERALD BREAK" in Engli꧒sh instead.

4 Sh🧸ining 🅺Magikarp – $9.94

The Iconic Shiny Gold Fish

The first card on the list to come from Celeberations' second 'Classics' range, Shining Magikarp is a straight reprint of Shining Magikarp from 2001's Neo Revelation. Shining Pokemon were the first time Shiny Pokemon appeared in the TCG, showing off Pokemon in their much rarer alternative color schemes.

Shining Magikarp was one of the two first Shining cards to appear in the game; alongside its evolution,, Gyarados was the fir🤪st to introduce 🅰the concept. In the wider games, Gyarados was used to show players what shiny Pokemon were, with a red shiny Gyarados being a minor plot point in Pokemon Silver, Gold and Crystal.

3 Umbreon Star – $16.42 𒁏 ♔

Representing The Eeveelution Empire

While most of the other reprints are of cards available in other expansions, Umbreon Star, also called the Umbreon Gold Star, was only available as part o🎀f the Pokemon Organized Play event scheme (now known as Play! Pokemon). D⛄uring its release period between March and September 2007, the Umbreon Star was made widely available for the first time.

Umbreon cards are typically among the most valuable Eev🌜eelution cards in the Pokemon TCG.

Gold Star Pokemon were always the rarest of the rare in the sets they were in, starting with their debut in Team Rocket Returns. Like Shining Pokemon, these showed the Shiny forms of Pokemon, but these had the added pizazz of having their art break free of the box🌠 and enter 🍸the card frame.

2 Mew (Secret Rare) – $24.72 ♈

A Beautiful Blue For Mew

Mew didn't even appear on the original version of this list, as it didn't spike in price until shortly after Celebrations' launch. While it has fallen in price since its peak of $72.88, compared to other cards it's still in demand.

This shiny Mew Secret Rare is also by far the most va𝐆lu♔able card in the main Celebrations set.

Because it's in the main Celebrations expansion and now in the Classic Collection, this Mew is also the only card on this list to be legal in the current Pokemon Standard, thanks to the E symbol in the lower left. That isn't why it's valuable – it's a shiny Mew as a gold secret rare, and it's a total collector's piece – but it is cool that Celebrations can be played with as well.

1 🔥 Charizard – $85.30

Return Of The King

Of course, by far the most valuable card in the entire of Celebrations is based on the game's most valuable card full stop. Base Set Chariza𝓡rd has fetched hundreds of thousands at auction, and almost single-handedly dr𝓰ove the sur🐲ge in demand for the game.

To prevent people from passing off Celebrations as an original Base Set Charizard, there are a few differences between it and the super valuable card.

As well as the Pokemon 25 stamp, the font is ever so slightly different to the♈ original and the Wizards of the Coast copyright has been removed (as they stopped publishing the TCG in 2003). Despite those differences, Charizard is almost always the most valuable 🧸card in any set it appears in, and Celebrations is no exception.

Since Celebrations' launch, Charizard's value has dropped by over $200, showing how much the expansion's value has fallen since its launch. It's still a great card that might pick up value as Celebrations' original release date gets further away, so now is probably a good time to grab one if you've been waiting.
