Also known as SableZard, the Lost Box Charizard Deck features many key components of a traditional Lost Box deck played in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon TCG—with the unique addition of Radiant Charizard. Because it uses only single-Prize Pokemon, this deck focuses on providing a tough match-up for many de🌠cks featuring Pokemon costing two or more Prize Cards.

Lost Box Charizard Deck Key Cards

Pokemon TCG Cramorant, Colress Experiment, Comfey and Sableye Cards

The Lost Box archetype requires several key cards to function. These are cards that fill the Lost Zone while providing valuable attackers. However, each Lost Box variant is different. Below are some of the key cards that help ✤the Lost Box Charizard D🦋eck thrive.

Comfey

Comfey's Galarian Gallery from the Crown Zenith Set in Pokemon TCG.

Comfey is valuable in any Lost Box variant, including the Lost B𝄹ox Charizard Deck. Comfey’s Ability, Flower Selecting, allows you to draw two cards. Then, between these two, you choose one to keep and one to Lost Zone.

Once a♔ card is in the Lost Zone, there is no way t🌠o retrieve or use it, so choose what cards to keep wisely.

Cramorant needs four cards in the Lost Zone to trigger its Ability, which allows it to attack without Energy attachments. Mirage Gate requires 7 in the Lost Zone, ♌and Sableye, in order to use its Lost Mine attack, requires 10.

Because of this, Comfey is essential for powering up the rest of your deck. The Supporter card Colress’s Experiment can also be helpful, as it allows you to draw five cards total, keeping three and placing two into the Lost Mine inst🍨ead.

Technical Machine: Devolution

Pokemon TCG Technical Machine Devolution Card

Paired with Sableye, this Tool card can be a beneficial addition to any Lost Box ꦕvariant. Technical Machine: Devolution allows you to return all Evolution Pokemon to your opponent’s hand, leaving its previous form. For Stage 2 Pokemon evolved by Rare Candy, this causes them to return to their Basic form.

You can attach🉐 Technical ꦫmachine: Devolution and attack with it for no Energy cost with Cramorant, so long as the requirements for its Ability, Lost Provisions, are met.

There are two benefits of this. In many decks pla♕yin🗹g Stage 2 Pokemon, there are only so many Rare Candies and Stage 1 Pokemon available. For instance, the Tera Charizard ex deck plays only 4 Rare Candies, one or two Chameleons, and no Pidgeotto cards. As a result, by devolving these Pokemon, you quickly wear away at your opponent’s available resources.

The second benefit is damage. Using Sableye’s attack, you’ll be able to spread damage across your opponent’s bench. Then, when you use the Technical Machine: Devolution, the damage will remain while the Pokemon’s HP is greatly reduced. In many instances, this will allow you to take at least one if not several Knock Outs.

Radiant Charizard

Radiant Charizard TCG

In the Lost Box Charizard Deck va🦂riant, it is Radiant Charizard that adds a unique touch to a familiar archetype.

Radiant Charizard falls under the Radiant Pokemon Rule, which only allows for a sing💎le Radiant Pokemon to be included in your deck. Because of this, you'll have to sacrifice the typical addition of Radiant Greninja, which may limit some of your draw potential ea🐬ch turn.

Radiant Charizard’s Ability, Excited Heart, allows for it to attack with fewer Energy attachments based on how many Prize Cards your opponent has taken. At its maximum usability, when your opponent has taken 4 Prize Cards, Radiant Charizard can attack for 250 damage for only a single Basic Fire Energy attachment.

As a Rule Box Pokemon, Path to the Peak will stop R♌adi൩ant Charizard's Ability.

Because Radiant Charizard deals higher damage while maintaining a higher HP than mꦇost cards common in the Lost Box deck, it can be an extremely valuable Pokemon to include. Its damage matches that of many V and ex Pokemon, if not exceeding it, all while remaining a single Prize attacker. This provides a valuable strategy for trading Prize Cards, as an ideal turn will involve you taking two while your opponent is only able to take one.

Lost Box Charizard Deck Strategy

Pokemon TCG Cramorant and Sableye with blurred background and Thegamer logo

When possible, an𒀰 ideal game using the Lost Box Charizard Deck will feature taking two Prize Cards in the early to middle stages of theᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ game using Cramorant and Sableye, then taking four Prizes using Radiant Charizard’s attack in two turns.

Because Radiant Charizard’s attack provides 250 damage, this allows for it to Knock Out man꧙y Rule Box Pokemon (V, VMAX, VSTAR, ex etc.) fo🥂r two Prize Cards. This includes Chien-Pao ex, Palkia V, and Giratina V. Using Sableye’s Lost Mine attack to spread damage early can allow Radiant Charizard to Knock Out Pokemon with HP greater than 250.

After using Combustion Blast, Radiant Charizard will not be able to attack the next turn. This can be resꦑolved, however, by removing Radiant Charizard from the Active Spot and then promoting it again. You can switch out Radiant Charizard using a Switch, Switch Cart, or Escape Rope. Due to the high Energy cost, retreating Radiant Chari🍷zard is not recommended.

Because of the elevated potential for multiple drawing opportunities, the Lost Box Charizard Deck can succeed going first or second. However, going second is the better option. This is because, going second, on your first turn, you can utilize a combination of Comfey or Colress’s Experiment to set up your Bench. If you achieve four cards in the Lost Zone during this turn, you can also switch into Cramorant for a turn-one attack. In many instances, this will allow you to secure an early Prize Card from a Basic Pokemon with low HP.

As the game progresses, your opponent will likely return many Knock Out🍰s. This helps to activate Radiant Charizard’s Ability, setting it up for a powerful attack with a low Energy cost. Prior to using Radiant Charizard to attack, you should use Cramorant and Sableye to secure another Prize Card, leaving y🐬ou with four.

With four Prize Cards remaining, you should attach Energies to Radiant Charizard, whether through manual attachments or Mirage Gate. From here, the goal is to target any Pokemon worth two Prize Cards, allowing you to end the game in two turns. This deck only plays one Boss's Orders, however, so you may need to rely on Counter Catchers and Escape Ropes to gust🌌 your opponent’s Rule Box Pokemon into the Active.

You can also re﷽ly on other attackers in the Lost Box Charizard Deck to help distribute damage aജnd continue taking Prize Cards.

Here'🌱s everything you need to know to ౠplay the Roaring Moon ex deck in the Pokemon TCG!

Lost Box Charizard Deck Common Threats

Image of the card Iron Hands ex in Pokemon TCG, with art by Toshinao Aoki

Two of the most notable common threats for the Lost Box Charizard Deck both originate from the same expansion: Paradox Rift. These are Jirachi and Iron Hands ex.

Jirachi functions in a way similar to Manaphy in that its Ability allows you to protect Pokemon on your Bench. However, whereas Manaphy’s Wave Veil protects Benched Pokemon from all damage, Jirachi’s Stellar Veil protects Benched Pokemon against all damage counters.

This means that, as long Jirachi is in play on your opponent’s Bench—and there are no cards blocking its Ability—you won’t be able to use Sableye’s Lost Mine to attack the Bench. Instead, you’ll only be able to place damage counters on your opponent’s Active Pokemon. While this still often rewards you with ꦦa single Prize Card, it is much less efficient. It also limits your ability to distribute damage counters in preparation for Radiant Charizard or Technical Machine: Devolution.

Iron Hands ex also proves to be a difficult counter for the Lost Box Charizard Deck. Iron Hands ex’s Amp You Very Much attack deals 120 damage. However, the interesting effect of this attack is that it allows your opponent to take an extra Prize Card if your Pokemon is Knocked Out by this attack. Because every Pokemon except for Radiant Charizard in this deck has less than 120 HP, Iron Hand ex is essentially able to transform your entire deck into a double-Prize deck instead of single.

Thankfully, however, while this can make gameplay more difficult for the Lost Box Charizard Deck, winning is still possible. Although you will lose more Prize Cards faster to your opponent, especially given many decks’ ability to quickly attach Energies to Iron Hands ex, each Prize Card taken also triggers Radiant Charizard’s Ability. So long as no HP-boosting tools are attached to Iron Hands ex, Radiant Charizard can Knock Out this Pokemon in a single attack.
