Deerling had a modest start, as this buffet of beautiful colors could once be had for under five dollars. However, as Temporal Forces begins to rise in value along with many other modern cards, this Deerling has seen a massive jump i🎉n value, quadrupling to hover around the $20 mark.

While it's difficult to say if this card's rise is due to the strong bull market modern cards are enjoying or if it has long-term staying power, there's no arguing that Deerling features some of the most unique art in Temporal Forces, equaled only by🐓 i✃ts evolution.

13 ❀ Eri – Special Illustration Rare

Market Price: $18.19

Eri returns as one of the most valuable Temporal Forces chase cards thanks to a recent💜 rally that brought this high-octane Special Illustration Rare scene to life. Visual🤪ly, Eri smashes the competition with her rocking scene, offering an aggressive visual style and a burst of vibrant colors to admire.

Eri's journey has been tumultuous, as shꦰe fell from $34 around launch to roughly $14 at her low. However, Eri is slowly creeping back toward the 20s, as she broke the barrier once before, and aims to rise 🍌above and stay there on her next journey.

12 Iron Boulder ex &nd💖ash; Special Ill🉐ustration Rare

Market Price: $19.26

Next up we have the Special Illustration Rare Iron Boulder ex card. This Fighting type Pokemon is a powerhouse that comes with some equally impressive artwork. Its first attack, Repu🌞lsor Axe, deals 60 damage for just two Energy, which isn’t a bad trade-off, but it also sets up a delayed trigger that goes into ef🍰fect if Iron Boulder ex would take damage on your opponent’s next turn.

If they deal damage through an attack, and even if they knock ꧟out Iron Boulder ex, you get to put eight damage counters on the Pokemon that damages it. This is an impressive deterrent, threatening a total of 140 damage over the course of two turns if your opponent goes to attack.

11 ♚ Metagross – Illustration Rare

Metagross makes a massive leap up the charts after spending much of its early days hovering around and below the ten dollarᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ mark. Since then, Metagross rose into the double digits and༒ seemed content to make a home there, until some strange market behavior sent this card roaring to $40.

This sudden price shift was likely the result of market manipulation🍷, in which a group of individuals buys every copy of a card, then sells it at a higher, set price.

Luckily, Metagross' pri💛ce has stabilized since its massive period of volatility, an✨d it seems likely to stick around the $20 mark for the near future, unless something unforeseen sends it flying again.

10 💯 Sawsbuck – Illustration Rare

Market Price: $21.83

Only one card shares the majesty of the Deerling IR, and unsurprisingly, that's its evolution, Sawsbuck. While Sawsbuck and Deerli👍ng aren't particularly popular Pokemon, their Illustration Rares claim impressive spots among the most valuable Temporal Forces chase cards thanks to the⭕ir unusual designs.

In the games, these Pokemon feature different colors on their bodies depending on what season it is, and this artwork perfe𓆉ctly embodies that unique quality thanks to the four bright shades𝓰 used to symbolize the changing seasons. Sawsbuck jumped from under ten dollars to almost $25, and it's showing little sign of slowing down soon.

9 Gengar ex &nd🌊ash; Ultra Rare

Market Price: $23.01

While this Ultra Rare features some of the simplest artwork of all the expensive Temporal Forces ch♊ase cards, sometimes less is more when it comes to great designs.

You can then deal a ꦦsolid 180 damage with its Prism Edge attack, though it can’t attack its next turn if you use it. If you have an engine to keep swapping out your Pokemon and reliably bouncing them back to your hand, you can set up a pretty nice damage cycle with relatively few cards.

Gastly's price chart thus far tells the tale of a card that has seen huge spikes due to hype and cooled off when other cards dre🌱w collectors' attention away. However, Gastly won't go away, as it blew past previous highs in the $25 range to꧟ jump into the high-30s.
