There are even certain versions of cards that are a major improvement over the ones previously released in Genetic Apex. The ring is open, and the first round is about to start as the Fighting Pokemon duke it out for the number one spotꩵ.

8 Mankey

Risking It All On A Coin Flip

Mankey Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

After Promo Mankey made the Genetic Apex Primeape a force to be reckoned with, the fresh versions found i🧜n Mythical Island have plenty to live up to. For Starters, Mankey has 50 HP, a Retre🎐at Cost of one. It can also use Focus Fist, which has the potential to deal 50 damage for only one Energy.

Whether or not Mankey can pull off this Move 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:depends on the result of a coin flip. This makes Mankey less reliable. Even if it manages to land a hit, it doesn’t always guarantee that you’ll get a😼 clean knockout.

7 Primeape

Stability Over A Power Increase

Primeape Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

The Primeape found in Mythical Island has a much more consistent attack than the one found in Genetic Apex. However, it doesn't gain any buffs for taking d🐈amage. Instead, you get a solid 50 damage by using Punch f🔜or only one Energy.

Ex Pokemon are some of the strongest in Pokemon Pocket, and these cꦅards from Mythical Island are all quite good.

Since Mankey can already do 50 damage on a coin flip, Pri🐼meape isn’t much of𝕴 an improvement besides the guaranteed hit. At times like these, it’s better to go with the pair that can buff itself even if it costs an extra Energy to perform the Move. If anything, this Primeape is better as an Evolution for the original Mankey as a vanilla beat stick.

6 Stonjourner 🌼

A Wall For Your Opponent

Stonjourner Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

Stonjourner is an odd P🐲okemon that shares many parallels with Onix from Genetic Apex. It is a Basic Fighting Pokemon that can only start throwing🍬 hands once it has three Energy attached to it. It also has its fair share of differences that make it better.

This Pokemon has 120 HP, a cheaper Retreat Cost of three, and does 90 damage instead of Onix’s 70. The biggest difference is that Stonjourner cannot take advantage of Brock’s Energy Acceleration, making it a bit more difficult to set up properly. On the bright side, a Stonjourner on the Active Spot can act as a wall thaℱt can buy the rest of your Pokemon time to Evolve.

5 Geodude

A More Expensive Geodude

Geodude Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

Getting into Golem st𝕴ill takes a bit of work, but luckily, the line is a bit sturdier in Mythical Island. Unfortunately, one of the weaker cardsins this line is Geodude, which requires two Energy before it ⛄can start attacking.

Considering the speed of the game, you want to have a Pokemon on the Active Spot that can use its Move as soon as possible. The ten extra damage this Pokemon has over its Genetic Apex variant is simply not worth it. Luckily, it is the only part of the line you want to exclude since every 🌠ot🐬her card is an improvement from its predecessor.

4 Graveler

The Cooler Graveler

Graveler Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

Graveler’s biggest problem in Genetic Apex is that you jump from a Geodude that can attack with one Energy to a Graveler that needs three Energy if it⛄ wants to do anything. Mythical Island’s Graveler solves this problem by making its Move cost only two Energy.

While it cannot dish out 70 damage, it is better to have a Move that can be used sooner than one that leaves your Pokemon just sꦺitting there. It is also a natural Evolution for Genetic Apex’s Geodude since it can attack for one additional Energy, making it have excellent flow between stages. If Evolved from Mythical Island’s Geodude, it does not require additional Energy to attack.

3 Golem

Consistent Damage With More Protection

Golem Mythical Island Pokemon TCG Pocket Card Art.

Mythical Island’s Golem gives Brock another target for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Energy acceleration. While you still need to go through two Evolutions to get to Golem,ꦜ the payoff is much better. For four Energy, Golem can use Guard Press to deal 120 damage. This is a decent amount of damage, but what really sells it is that instead of having recoil damage after the Move is used, it prot♏ects you instead.

This is because Guard Press nullifies your opponent’s next attack against Golem by 30. This means that knocking out Golem in one hit takes just as much damage as Venusaur ex. Also, any Pokemon that can’t dishඣ out more than 30 damage simply can’t touch Golem. The onlꦉy downside is that it takes a while to get to Golem quickly.

2 Aerodact𒊎yl Ex

A Floodgate Against Evolution Decks

Aerodactyl ex is a theoretically powerful card with many qualities that make it both splash🦹able into a variety of decks and capable of stunning Evolution Pokemon. Evolving from an Old Amber makes it the perfect choice for decks that want to keep their ꦺBasic Pokemon consistency during the first draw.

While Land Crush does 80 damage for two Energy, you can run it for its Ability alone, which can remain active as long as Aerodactyl ex is in play. Primeval Law doesn’t allow your oppon♐ent to Evolve their Act🌠ive Pokemon. The only downside to this Ability is that most of the time, players will Evolve their Pokemon on the Bench unless they get a bad starting hand.

1 Marshadow

Taking Revenge For The Fallen

For two Energy, Marshadow can make your opponent’s Pikachu wish it hadn’t knocked out your Pokemon last turn. With 80 HP and a Retreat Cost of one, this is a Pokemon you want on your Bench waiting for the chance to strik⛎e hard.

Revenge does 40 base damage for two Energy. However, if any of your Pokemon are knocked out by attack damage, Revenge will do an additional ꦍ60 the next turn. This effect can be utilized in a variety of ways. In one scenario, your previous Active Pokemon is knocked out and Marshadow comes to🌳 even the odds. However, it can also get the damage buff if your opponent is sniping the Bench with Moves that can target any of your Pokemon.
