While many have been concerned about how these new cards will impact 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the game's meta, some eagle-eyed players have spotted 🎃a very confusing connection between the game's new cards, and they're trying to figure out exactly what it means.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket's Ultra Beast Cards All Have Very Musical Attacks
First spotted on by user Poison_Soda, each one of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket's new Ultra Beast cards has an attack named after a music genre, for s💜ome reason.
The Pokemon and their moves are as follows:
- Buzzwole - Big Beat
- Nihilego - New Wave
- Guzzlord ex - Grindcore
- Celesteela - Moombahton
- Pheremosa - Jump Blues
- Kartana - Thrash Metal
- Xurkitree - Electronica
- Nagandel - Electro House
- Stakataka - Brass Rock
- Blacephalon - Beat Punk
This even extends to a Pokemon coming from an upcoming event, with Ultra Necrozma ex 💃having a move called Shoegaze when i🐈t's released as part of the game's .
As you can see, many of these moves are linkꦐed to obscure music genres, which has led to some big-brain theories from the Pokemon TCG♈ Pocket community.
Blargen69 ꦯthat the naming convention was a "Close Encounters of the Third Kind reference," due to the fact that "the universal language of communicating with alien life was musi𝔉c", and the Ultra Beasts are Pokemon's versions of aliens.
The alien links didn't stop there, though, as MyClericalGnomance that it could𒐪 "be a reference to the ." These records were placed in two Voyager spacecraft and contain a collection of sounds that encapsulate life on Earth. They were designed for any alien or other extraterrestrial entity that may find them.
Another, slightly less alien-centric theory 🎉came from Bobguy117, who that the new set could be abbreviated to EDC, much like the music festival Electric Daisy Carnival held in Las Vegas every year.
Although we're unlikely to ever find out the real reason behind the naming conventions, it's fun to speculate, and another really cool Easter egg from the Pokemon Trading Ca𝕴rd Game Pocket designers.
