The Pokemon TCG's Temporal Forces Expansion Launches This March

The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon TCG’s next set has finally been revea🙈led, and with it the arrival🌄 of four more of Scarlet & Violet’s Paradox Pokemon.

Scarlet & Violet: Temporal Forces launches on March 22, bringing with it not just mor♏e of the era’s ex and Paradox Pokemon, but also the long-awaited return of ACE SPEC cards after their announcement way back in August.

Temporal Forces is the first regular Pokemon expansion of 2024, following on from Jan🧸uary’s special Paldean Fates. It appears to mostly be a culmination of everything the last year of the game has done. For instance, The Pokemon Company has confirmed that it’ll see new Ancient and Future Pokemon, who were introduced in Paradox Rift in late 2023.

The booster packs reveal them, too, with Walking Wake, Raging Bolt, Iron Leaves, and Iron Crown all getting pride of place on the pack and box ꩲart. The Japanese sets Temporal Forces is based on, Wild Force and Cyber Judge, also have the la🀅st two post-launch Paradox Pokemon, Iron Boulder and Gouging Fire, so we should expect them to put in an appearance too.

ex Pokemon will continue to be a big part of🅘 the expansion, too. The mechanic’s been used to represent the era’s Terastallization gimmick, and Temporal Forces is set to introduce “more than a dozen brand-new” ex card♈s. This will, of course, include the type-shifted Tera Pokemon that have been a huge part of the Scarlet & Violet era.

But the most exciting thing is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the return of Ace Spec cards. These were last seen in the Black & White set Plasma Blast in 2013, making them technically the second mechanic to return from that chapter of the TCG. Ace Spec cards are among the most powerful cards in 👍the game – so much so that you’re only allowed to run a single Ace Spec card of any kind in your entire deck.

Temporal Forces is said to include seven Ace Spec cards: six 🍷Trainers, and one Energy.

Of course, Temporal Forces will include plenty of the usual collector-focused stuff people ♍expect from an expansion, like 22 new illustration rares, ten additional secret rares, and six golden secret rares. The expansion will launch with two different Elite Trainer Boxes: one based on Walking Wake, and the other on Iron Leaves. Both include a number of booster packs, and themed accessories based on their respective Pokemon.

Now that we’re a year into the Scarlet & Violet era, it’s clear to see its mechanical foundations rea🉐lly come together. So far, it’s looking like a more complex one than Sword & Shield, with ex Pokemon only being the tip of the iceberg. Between them, Tera, Ancient and Future Pokemon, and now Ace Specs, there’s a lot to keep track of.
