For all 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the creativity and pe📖rsonality they show, the biology of many creatures in the Pokemon franchise hasn't been fully understood yet. One particular brand of Pokemon is a burning point of contention among fans: Pokemon that supposedly "wear clothes".

Most Pokemon in this camp don't exactly have clothes-like design elements that function like real clothes; some do, but not all do. Regardless, these particular Pocket Monsters are clearly heavily inspired design-wise by certain articles of clothing, and not every Pokemon fan likes that.

10 Machoke, Machamp, & Hitmonchan 🔯

Fighting Type Pokemon With Clothes Anime

The articles of clothing on these three Gene🌺ration One Fighting-type Pokemon may be minimal, but they stick out like sore thumbs because they look so much like things humans would wear or use.

While Machop isn't seen with any discernable clothing, Machoke and Machamp are distinctly seen wearing what look like championship belts. Hitmonchan, on the other hand, wears boxing gloves, which makes it stand out design-wise from the other two Hitmons that are just seen wearing athletic tape. If anything, it shows the somewhat primitive design choices made in 168澳洲幸运5开🌜奖网:Generation 🐼One compared to other generations. Incineroar, for 🍨example, incorporated a championship belt-esque design much more methodically.

9 💝 🦂 Kirlia & Gardevoir

Pokemon Generation III Psychic Fairy

Their re-evolution, Ralts, and branched evolution, Gallade, don't quite have the same issue design-wise, but Kirlia and Gardevoir seem to have dress-like frills incorporated into their designs. Kirlia seems to be wearing a tutu while Gardevoir seems to be wearing a full on gown that reaches the ends of its legs, and it's also the main design aspect that's emphasized by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:its Mega Evolution.

Giving them dresses adds to this evolutionary family's already very humanoid designs, but at least they're not agregiously discernable as articles of clothing. Gardevoir is one of the most popular Pokemon ever, too, so it mostly gets a pass.

8 Bellossom

Pokemon Sword Shield Switch Grass Type

This Generation Two 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pure Grass-type is basically if a hula dancer turned into a Pokemon, with the flowers on its head and leaf skirt. It's a far cry from its branched evolution, Vileplume, which is clearly just a Rafflesia with a face.

RELATED: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Best Stone Evolutions

Bellossom's cute and all, but there isn't much interesting about it other than the fact that it was made to be a stark contrast from the rest of its family. The fact that its design is pretty uninspired, being just a mini hula dancer, doesn't help.

7 G⛎othita, Gothorita & Goth💙itelle

Psychic-Type Pokemon Wearing clothes Anime

This entire evolutionary family is in a similar boat to Kirlia and Gardevoir's, with their bodies having such dress-like shapes. It's a bit harder to figure out whether the dress-like features are actually part of their bodies, since they and the line's outer skin share the same color.

Still, the overall designs of Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle, are definitely inspired by gothic lolita dresses, as their names would suggest. Perhaps there was a way to incorporate such design aspects without making th𓃲em look like they were wearing dresses, but what fans got was still passable.

6 Ribombee

ribombee flying

This Generation Seven Pokemon is kind of par-for-the-course 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:as far as Bug-types go, with its design 💫mainly being inspired by the bee fly. There are some fairy-like touch-ups to it as well, but the one thing that might stick out amongst everything is the brown scarf.

It has a needle-like protrusion at the front, but otherwise, the scarf looks pretty similar to one a human would wear, especially since it's such a different color from the rest of Ribombee's body. It's not clear what the scarf is for biologically, but it doesn't look like a thoughtless addition, either, so there's nothing really wrong with having it on.

5 Mr. Rime

Pokemon Twilight Wings Galarian Regional Form

Okay, Charlie Chaplin. Other members of this evolutionary family have designs that could be considered very humanoid, but Game Freak's design choices for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mr. Rime in particular are quite blatantly inspired by clothing.

In case you don't know, the top hat and tuxedo-like torso are a callback to Sir Charlie Chaplin's famous Tramp character, with the mannerisms to boot. The top hat is supposedly part of its physical makeup, but it looks too much like a hat for humans to be ignored.

4 Raboot &aꦕmp; Cinderace

Starter Pokemon With Clothes Clothing Hoodie Soccer Uniform

Despite its popularity, Cinderace has been somewhat divisive among fans design-wise. A lot of the gripes people have about this Generation Eight starter's design can probably be said for its pre-evolution, Raboot, as well.

Scorbunny isn't as much of an offender, only having athletic tape across a few parts of its body, but otherwise, Raboot and Cinderace are straight-up wearing clothes. Raboot is wearing a hoodie and Cinderace is wearing a soccer uniform. The evolutionary line is a lot of people's cup of tea in spite of it, but if Pokemon wearing human clothes is one of your pet peeves, these two specifically are not for you.

3 Jynx

Pokemon Dress ANime

Jynx is historically unpopular for design-related reasons, but most ha🐓ve called Jynx ugly eve꧅n without its earlier controversies.

It ൩looks like a bunch of random design elements thrown haphazardly onto a dark-colored feminine hꦜumanoid.

One of which is a red dress that distinctly looks like a human woman's and doesn't seem to have any real biological purpose. There was probably a point to all of it, with the PokeDex categorizing it as the "Human Shape" Pokemon, but that certainly hasn't given it many fans. It's kind of a shame, because it hasn't been considered a good battler either, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:at least recently.

2 Shelmet & Escavalier ♛ ♔

Armor Pokemon Trade Unova Clothing

Shelmet and Karr✱ablast have a unique relationship in that they only evolve when traded for each other, into Accelgor and Escavalier, respectively. The main link between the two design-wise is the distinct piece of armor that shifts from Shelmet to the Karrablast-turned-Escavaᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚlier during the trade.

Having the metal helmet move from one Pokemon to another through a trade is unique and interesting conceptually, but design-wise, it just looks like a helmet most humans would wear. Whether or not it's a naturally occuring shell or an object that can be easily removed from the host is unclear.

1 Throh & Sawk 🌼

Pokemon Anime Fighting Type Clothes Karate Outfits

Pokemon like Throh and Sawk are the reason why discussions like this exist. This pair of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pure Fighting-types was so lazily designed to the point that they might as well be humans, and the fact that they're literally just wearing the gi of their respective martial arts doesn't help.

Throh is the Pokemon-ification of judo, and Sawk karate, so it makes sense to design them this way. But it would've been better for Game Freak's sake to not just take a judoka and karateka, change the color of their skin, and call them Pokemon. Fans probably wouldn't mind their being bipedal as much if their designs were more creative.
