A dedicated Pokemon Unite player has done extensive research to discover which of Unite's playable Pokemon score points the fastest, and which ones are the slowest.
Pokemon Un🍒ite launched on Switch over the summer, and then mobile last month, and tested the skill of Pokemon trainers in an entirely new way. The MOBA pits teams of five players, each member using a different Pokeꦐmon, against one another, and there are a lot of factors to take into account throughout the match.
Unite is about so much more than picking a defender or an all-rounder. The more you play, the more you realize you need to take into consideration. Yeah, it's fun to score as many points as you possibly can when you first play, but as you become invested and your rank increases, there's more for you to think about. Right down to how long it takes your chosen Pokemon to rid itself of aeos energy and score points.
Each of Unite's 56 Pokemon takes a different amount of time to turn that energy into points depending on its scoring animation. Reddit user TacoTitan555 has put in the hard work so you don't have to. They timed how long it takes from the start of the animation to Unite registering that points have been scored for every single Pokemon.
As it turns out, Squirtle is the fastest point scorer of them all. However, it gets significantly slower after it has evolved into Watortle and then even slower again once it has fully evolved into Blastoise. In fact, Blastoise is the 11th slowest scorer in Unite, but still a darn sight faster than Chansey who is the slowest. The quickest scorer of Unite's fully-evolved Pokemon is Eldegloss, making it the perfect Pokemon to rack up points as you near the endgame.
Speaking of which, players have been asking why they are unable to see what the score is in Unite until matches are over.
