Pokemon is one of the few Nintendo franchises that has appeared in every 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. since the series launched on th🤡e N64 in 1999. Pikachu and Jigglypuff were the first to represent the Pokemon IP, but each new entry introduced more playable characters such as Mewtwo, Lucario, and Pichu.

There are currently ten Pokemon to play as in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (if you count Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard as separate fighters) but that doesn't mean that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:any of the other 900 couldn't hold their own in a fight against Solid Snake or Samus Aran. There are so many versatile and worthy Pokemon that could be great in the next big brawl, but here are a few that could capture the hearts of audiences with unique movesets and fighting styles.

Updated August 22, 2022, by Kyle Chamaillard: There are countless Pokemon that could make excellent contenders in Super Smash Bros. Though DLC for the latest game has concluded and a new entry in the series is uncertain, we've decided to update this list with a few more Pocket Monsters that we would love to see face off against Mario, Link, and everyone else in the future.

15 Floette

Floette flies through the air with a blue sky behind it

A great middle-evolution Pokemon to bring into the fray wouಌld be Floette. It already has five different flowers that could be used 😼as alternate costumes and its size and ability to fly could be used effectively to take out opponents like Bowser with ease.

Floette could have the abil✤ity to float like Princess Peach or Daisy, but maybe for longer periods of time thanks to its tiny stature. This would make Floette lethal in the ꦺair, and it could also use the flower for devastating smash attacks. This would come at the cost of being incredibly lightweight and easy to KO, but there is still a ton of potential for Floette to blossom in Smash Bros.

14 Bewear

Bewear stands on one leg in Onett

Bewear would be easy to include in the next Smash Bros. because it's already in the game! Bewear is one of many Pokemon that appear after using the Pokeball item and it uses its Brutal Swing move to deal a decent amount of damage to opponents.

This could be a fairly straightforward fighter that uses its magnificent power to achieve victory. Its weight could make it nearly impossible to knock off the stage and its Final Smash could be a giant hug that sends foes blasting off again. Don't let the friendly demeanor fool you, Bewear could be one of the strongest characters in the series if it gets the invitation.

13 Sirfetch'd

Sirfetch'd stands in a field

One of the biggest complaints about the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster is the number of sword-wielding ✃characters. From three iterations of Link to the army of Fire Emblem characters, it would be nice to see more than just people with swords available to play with.

Well, Sirfetch'd is a duck with a giant leek, so including it in the next game could resolve the issue. The leek could have incredible range and pierce through shields like nothing. Sirfetch'd also has a shield that could be used to reflect projectiles or reduce the amount of damage it takes. If it could use its wings to recover after being knocked off the stage, Sirfetch'd could easily dominate in the air and on the ground.

12 Gardevoir

Gardevoir stands in a stadium surrounded by grass

Gardevoir has been appearing in the series since Super Smash Bros. Brawl as one of the Pokemon that can appear after using the Pokeball item. Psychic-based fi🤪ghters like Lucario and Mewtwo work well in Smash, and adding Gardevoir to the roster could introduce a more defensive style of gameplay compared to those two.

This character would likely move a little faster than its Pokeball counterpart but would probably still be one of the slower Pokemon to play as. It could have a moveset that's designed to keep other fighters at a distance and shields to protect them from enemy projectiles. Its hitbox would be pretty big, but it should be able to float back to the stage easily if it gets knocked off.

11 Lopunny

Lopunny jumps in the air in a crowded stadium

Lopunny might not be the most po💃pular Pokemon, but it would be a fantastic addition to the Smash Bros. roster. It would be a very fast character, using its bunny-like reflexes to jump around the stage quickly while dishing out speedy attacks and combos.

Its Mega Evolution would also be great for its Final Smash, powering the Pokemon up to deal out massive amounts of damage in a heartbeat. Its ears could be used for lethal smash attacks that send opponents flying or relentl🗹ess combos that stack damage as quickly as this rabbit can kick.

10 Ninetails

Ninetails sits on a rock

Ninetails would actually be a really fun fighter to see enter the fray in Smash. A majority of playable Pokemon are bipedal, but having one lower to the ground could give i🌳t an interesting hitbox. It also has lots of unique fire-based powers that could be utilized while creating its moveset.

Beyond that, it has an Alolan form that could eas🌸ily be used as an Echo Fighter 𒉰that uses ice attacks instead of fire. Both fighters could use their long tails to deal tons of damage from a distance, and elemental attacks could sustain damage over time. Ninetails could be an extremely fast fighter that is lethal from anywhere on the battlefield.

9 Beartic

Beartic prepares for battle as other pokemon and trainers watch from a distance

Many of the common Pokemon types like fire, water, and electric are represented by the current roster of Pokemon fighters. It would be great if the next seജt of fighters could showcase theℱ other types and their versatility in battle.

Not only would Beartic be the first Ice-type Pokemon fighter in Smash, but it would also be one of the most intimidating to face off against. This giant bear would be incredibly difficult to knock out due to its size, and its claws could easily defeat small foes like Pichu or Ness. A range of ice attacks similar to Ice Climbers moveset could freeze enemies in their tracks and make them unable to dodge Beartic's next swing.

8 Zoroark

Zoroark's unique abilities would make it a perfect candidate to appear in Super Smash Bros. Zoroark has the power to cast illusions to trick anyone that threatens it. It can use this power to create harrowing nightmares for anyone inflicted by them, though the illusions are incapable of actually hurting anyone.

Zoroark could use this ability in a ton of creative ways to distra🌠ct foes while it sneaks in to deal devastating amounts of damage. It could use Double Team to overwhelm and confuse foes or use illusions to cre💙ate traps for anyone that comes close enough. Zoroark could play a lot like Greninja with a moveset that keeps everyone on their toes.

7 Sneasler

Sneasler is one of the new Pokemon introduced as a rideable companion in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It uses its long claws to c𒈔limb up mountains and can carry you on its back to reach new heights. Sneasler could easily represent the Hisui region and reign supreme as one of the best Pokemon fighters.

Sneasler's average height and weight would make it a fairly well-balanced character to play as, but it would mostly thrive in face-to-face combat. Its massive claws could easily reach opponents before they attack you, and Sneasler could also use attacks like Poison Jab to inflict damage that builds up over time. It could also climb up walls for a short period of time to evade attacks or get the jump on its next target.

6 Ampharos

Ampharos holds on to a net in the sky

Ampharos is an absolute legend and deserves all the attention in the world, including a spot on the Smash Bros. fighter list. Ampharos's body would be easy to make a hitbox out of, and it could use electrical powers to really spark conflict on the battlefield.

There are already two Electric-type Pokemon fighters - Pikachu and Pichu -, but Ampharos would be a much heavier character with a slightly different moveset than them. Attacks like Thunder Punch and Electro Ball could shock foes right off the arena. And of course, it could 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unleash those luscious locks when it gra♚bs a Smash Ball to unleash its magnificent M🍸ega form.
