The museum didn't directly confirm how many members of staff had been let go, but it did say that security guards and public service employees were fired last December due to not following procedure and disobeying the codes of conduct for staff.

According to anonymous sources who still work at the museum and were in contact with Het Parool, one fired employee allegedly embezzled a box of the limited Pokemon cards, while another was let go for telling visitors when they could buy ticket🎉s for the exhibition before the information was publicly known and shared.

One of the employees who has been let go from the Van Gogh Museum reportedly worked there for 25 years, which has all gone down the drain due to their actions at the exhibition. The punishment seems to be final, as a spokesperson for the museum said to Het Parool that they won't be allowed to return to work in the future.
