There are some great shiny Pokemon out there, but there are also some terrible ones. A lot of bad shinies either don't change at all from their normal co𒈔unterparts or they adopt a color that makes you either sad or grossed out.
For whatever reason, many Ice-types 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:become bright pink when shiny. However, there are quite a few that take on terrible coloring instead. Ice is no different from any other type — each has its fair share of nice shiny forms as well as some that miss the maඣrk. Here are the wors🐲t amongst the ranks of the Ice-type.
10 Arctovish
The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Galar Fossils🐽 — Arctovish, Dracovish, Arctozolt, and Dracozolt — are all terrible to look at. They're hideous abominations made by assembling the wrong fossil pieces together. One of the worst parts of their ugliness is their wretched color schemes of conflicting bright colors.
Luckily, when shiny, they all adopt a much more palatable grey design that mutes those terrible palettesඣ. However, Arctovish's shiny form is still pretty bad. It still retain☂s a sickly light green and a strange light purple, preventing it from escaping the bad coloring like its peers.
9 Mamoswine
Typically, Mamoswine is an interesting-looking Pokemon. It's a large wooly mammoth-like beast, with its huge tusks and brown woolly fur coat. Its blue a👍nd white eye-mask-looking face also provides some visual interest. The colors combine to make a nice earthy palette.
When it's shiny, ❀though, Mamoswine loses a lot of this visual interest. It takes on a gross yellowish-green that flattens its appearance and could even make you sick. It's a sickly color that isn't appealing to probably anyone.
8 Piloswine
That's right — 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:two members of the same evolutionary fa🦄mily are on this list. Mamoswine is terribleꦯ with its awful yellowish-green, but its pre-evolution Piloswine is just as bad. Unlike its evolution, Piloswine dives completely into yellow, not even bothering to mix in a bit of green.
Piloswine is also brown typically, but when shiny, it's a bright highlighter-y꧃ellow that is obnoxious beyond belief. Shiny Piloswine probab🍌ly don't last long in the wild, since they're basically a giant spotlight on the white ice.
7 Regice
Moving away from the Mamoswine family brings us to a Generation III Legendary: Regice. This Legendary Golem is part of a trio (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:now a quintet!) with Rock-type Regirock and Steel-type Registeel. These t𒅌hree golems have very different coloring and, as a result, different shinies.
Regirock takes on a dark brown that is kind of nice, Registeel becomes an obnoxious-but-fun mint green, but Regice hardly changes at all. It just turns a bit of a darker blue. It's not terrible — it's a nice color — but it's a bit disappointin🐼g given the nice changes of the other members of its trio.
6 Avalugg
Avalugg is such a fun and comical Pokemon, given its completely-flat body. It looks like an iceberg, so it makes sense that it has a kind of light-blue icy coloring. Rings around its arms and other detailing take on a n꧑ice soft purple that doesn't distrac😼t from the overall picture.
When shiny, though, Avalugg isn't as great. The icy color remains, which🍌 is boring, and the purple detailing becomes a distracting yellowish-green.
5 Glastrier
Two steeds were introduced with the release of the Crown Tundra DLC Expansion alongside Calyrex: Spectrier, a Ghost-type, and Glastrier, an Ice-type. The player must choose between the two of them when completing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Calyrex storyline.
If you choose Spectrier and are lucky enough to get a shiny one, you'll probably be very happy. It has a fantastic blood-red shiny. Glastrier, on the other hand, won't be as exciting for 💃some players. Its shiny hardly looks any different from its normal coloring.
4 Glalie
Some s♓hinies only have a changed color somewhere in their detaღiling while the main bulk of their body remains the same as its normal coloring. Glalie is, unfortunately, almost one of these Pokemon.
Its icy b💟ody barely changes at all, changing by about one shade. The black parts of its design don't change at all. Basically, the only real change on Glalie's shiny form is its eyes, which become a terrifying red.
3 🦩 Frost Rotom
Rotom has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:several different forms, and each of them is just as disappointing as a shiny as the last. Typically, the differently-typed forms each have their own ethereal ghost🐼ly glow surrounding their body which matches their types. However, when shiny, they all become the same shade of bo𒁏ring washed-out orange.
Frost Rotom is an Ice-type, and it suffers this disappointing blow as well. Typically, its glow is an awesome pu꧋rple, but it becomes orange just like the rest of them.
2 Galarian Da🌺rmanitan
Darmanitan is one of a handful of Pokemon to receive a Galarian form in the newest g🔯eneration. This new regional variant swaps it from being a Fire-type to an Ice-type, complete with a new icy snowman-like design. Normally, it's mostly white with light blue detailing — the same as many Ice-types.
𓆉However, when shiny, Darmanitan's Galarian variant takes on an awful bright green in its blue sections. It's juꦆst not a nice color, and it looks terrible compared to its normal coloring.
1 Kyurem
Generation V's Legendary trio is based around color: the games are called Black & White and the two mascots, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Zekrom and Reshiram, embody these colors as a sort of Yin and ꩵYang type of thing. 🔴It's disappointing, then, that the two don't really swap colors when shiny.
However, more disappointing than Zekrom and Reshiram iജs their trio master and the mascot of the sequel games — Kyurem. This Ice/Dragon-type Pokemon should embody the two other Pokemon from its trio and become black and white when shiny. However, it just becomes two shades of grey and adds a hot pink point on its head. It's a nice shiny, but it had so much more potential than this.
