Gym Leaders are the bones of the Pokemon world, known to be the pride of their region and serve as tests to Pokemon trainers on their journey. Besides testing trainers, the responsibilities of a Gym Leader include taking care of their gym and making sure it reflects the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:types they specialize in.
It is still unknown how exactly one becomes a Gym Leader, as it varies depending on the gym. Some are founders, some are chosen by the leaꦍgue, and then there are those who get in through famil꧅y ties or by being chosen by a retiring Gym Leader.
Whatever the case may be, a lot of teenage and child Gym Leaders exist. In fact, many are nearly the same a🥃ge as the Pokemon trainer they are testing. Some are even younger than tha🅺t!

While Pokemon doesn't give official ages for these characters, there are context clues to give us a feeling and we've collected the community's best guesses here. The youngest of the young aren't even old enough to be out of primary school!

Olivine City's Gym Leader is Jasmine. She is a little special, as she is the first Steel-type Gym Leader to exist in the series. She has various Pokemon at her disposal including Steelix, Magnemite,🤡 Skamory, Mawile, and plenty of others (depending on the game).
Today she is not the only Steel-type expert, but she is still the only female one. She's clearly beloved by the creators, as she's appeared in lots of content over the years.

Marnie is from a more recent Pokemon Generation: she appears in Sword & Shield. Her age is also one of the most divisive in the Pokemon fan community! Some people argue she's as young as a preteen, while others suggest that she's as old as a college student. Her league card says that "as a child, [Marnie] was timid and a bit of a crybaby," so she's at least old enough to indicate that she's not really a "child" now.
She's also not the Gym Leader for most of her game; her older brother, Piers, is. However, Marnie takes over for him when he retires after the Champion Cup. The pair of them are the first ever Gym Leaders ♑to specialize in Dark-Types.

Janine is quite interesting due to the fact that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:she is the daughter of Koga. Koga used to be the Gym Leader of Fuchsia City in the first g⛦eneration of game✃s.
In the second generation though, Janine takes over his role when Koga is promoted to the Elite Four. Much like her fat🍬her, she is a Poison-type ninja maꦑster. Each evening, you'll find Janine on her way to deliver her father's lunch near Victory Road, and on Mondays she visits the Celadon Department Store and talks to Falkner.

Clemont is a young man leading the Gym in Lumiose City who specializes in Electric-type 🧜Pokemon. He also has a younger sister who appears in the game, anime, and manga alongside him, named Bonnie (who looks to be about eight years old).
Clemont is a brilliant inventor, and it's even hinted that he may have been one of the people behind the invention of Rotom Pokedex. However, he's still a kid at heart; the TV show Gym Freaks reveals that he's been saving money to go to the amusement park in Unova and keeping it secret (presumably not to appear childish to the public).

Korrina is the Gym Leader of Shalour City in Kalos. Her specialization is in Fighting-types and she gives out the Rumble Badge. When she is not attending to her Gym, she is also a PR Video star - at the humble age of 15!
What sets her apart from other Gym Leaders is her roller skates, as she uses those to get around everywhere. Apparently, her legs are so strong that she can shatter cave rocks with an axe kick! Clearly, she doesn't need Pokemon, but she does have them; her team includes a Lucario, Meinfoo, Machoke, and Hawlucha.

Bugsy is actually the discoverer of the move Bug-type move, Fury Cutter, which is astounding for someone of his age! However, it's also not surprising, as Bugsy shows himself in the anime as being adept at developing special and unique strategies to cover up Bug-type Pokemon's weaknesses. Though little time was spent on her in the games, her ♌character design was quite popular among fans. She is not the only musician/Gym Leader (as we ꦆg🍰ot Piers in Sword and Shield), but she is certainly the youngest to have both those titles.

Iris stands out among the young Gym Leaders for various reasons. The biggest reason is that she later becomes Champion of the entire region in the sequel to Blac﷽k and White. She differs from the other Gym Leaders in her region as well because she does not have a secondary occupation outside of her duties as a Gym Leader.

As the Gym Leader of Veilstone City, Maylene is the keeper of the Cobble Badge. Her specialization, like Korrina, is in Fighting-types. Unlike Korrina though, she is younger and from an earlier generation than Kalos: the Diamond and Pearl generation.
Besides her age and strength being impressive, Maylene also has the character trait of a huge appetite. In the anime, she is able to reveal some insecurities and a lack of confidence to Dawn, who helps her rebuild it through a Pokemon batt♋le.
