Sometimes it feels like Fire-type Pokémon are harder to catch tha🔜n other types. It feels like that because Fire-types have a lower catch rateಌ (on average) than other type Pokémon of the approximate strength level. Perhaps it is their fiery nature, or maybe it's the fact they embody energy in a primal and destructive form.

The catch rate in the Pokémon games is based on nuౠmber assigned to every Pokémon. This number ranges from 0 to 255 – with 255 giving the player the best odds. At 255, a Pokémon at full health has a 33.3% chance of being caught by a standard Pokébal✤l. All probabilities given below are assuming the Pokémon is at full health and a regular Pokéball is used.

10 Ninetales

Ninetales is one of those Gen I Pokémon that fans of the series frequently forget. Some of this is due to Ninetales traditionally being available in only one of the games per generation; it was in Blue & Yellow but not Red, Silver but not Gold or Crystal, etc.. Ninetales has a catch rate of 75(98.%) – which is honestly pretty high considering how powerful this Pokémon is in battle. This nine-tailed firefox has great Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed ratings. It also has two useful abilities in Flash Fire and Drought, and access to most of the best 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire-type attack moves - like Fire Blast and Inferno.

9 Rapidash

This list continues with another Gen I Pokémon – Rapidash. This fiery unicorn Pokémon has a catch rate of 60(7.8%). This catch rate seems high until one looks at the catch rate of the very best 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire-types and encounters numbers in the single digits.

Rapidash has good stats in general, but its fantastic Attack and Speed ratings are the primary reasons for it being on th🧸is list. This Pokémon learns most of the really powerful Fire-type moves; however, it also learns moves from the Bug, Normal, Steel, and Psychic types. The wide variety of move-types available to it substantially boosts Rapidash’s combat effectiveness.

8 Simisear

Simisear is a fluffy fire-monkey Pokémon that evolves when Pansear uses a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire Stone, and has a catch rate of 75(9.8%). With its high Attack, Special Attack, and Speed ratings, Simisear was designed for offense. It also has access to some useful moves that work well with held berries. Natural Gift does damage depending on what type berry Simisear is holding. Recycle allows Simisear to get back a berry it eats during battle – which will happen frequently because of its Gluttony ability. Players need to wait until their Pansear reaches 40th level if they want Natural Gift and Recycle (not to mention Fire 💯Blast).

7 🌄Incineroar 🐼

Incineroar is one of two Pokémon on this list with a catch rate of 45 (5.9%), but its potential power level makes a catch rate of 45 seem way too high. This fearsome Pokémon has phenomenal Attack, Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense ratings – it also has a ton of hit points. Incineroar not only learns many strong Fire-type moves, but also a collection of great Fighting, Normal, and Dark-type moves. As if Incineroar wasn’t powerful enough it also gets the Blaze ability. This increases the power of its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire-type attacks if its hit poඣints🙈 fall below 33% (called "in a pinch").

6 Heatmor

One does not normally think of an anteater as something to be feared. Now…make that anteater almost five feet tall; give it large claws and the ability to spit fire and suddenly it doesn’t seem so harmless. Heatmor is a stout Pokémon with a catch rate of 90 (11.8%). It has enough hit points and defense to outlast most opponents, while its offensive capabilities are enough to end battles in seconds. As expected, Heatmor has access to many of the more powerful 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire-type attack moves – like Flare Blitz, Inferno, Fire Lash, and Incin꧒erate.

5 Pyroar

Pyroar is something quite rare in the Pokémon series – a cat Pokémon that is worthy of being in a player’s main party. Pyroar is a lion-like Pokémon with a catch rate of 65(8.5%). This Pokémon has two abilities that can cause of cascade of attack bonuses and quickly get to the point of one-hit fainting strong opponents. Rivalry causes Pyroar to deal increased damage against Pokémon of the same gender; while Moxie (its hidden ability) rais♒es attack when Pyroar causes an opponent to faint. Special Attack and Speed are Pyroar’s best stats; the rest of its stats are all above average to average. This Pokémon is also useful in multi- Pokémon (team) battles.

4 Delphox

The combination of Fire and Psychic-type is rare in the Pokémon series. There are only two other examples of this beside Delphox – Victini and Darmanitan (Zen Mode). Victini has a catch rate of 3(.4%) compared to Delphox’s 45 (5.9%). That’s quite a gap considering Victini isn’t that much better than Delphox. Thജis Pokémon’s Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed are all at “legendary level”. In🍰 addition to numerous Fire and Psychic-type moves, Delphox also has access to some useful Ghost, Normal, and Dark-type moves. Lastly, this fox Pokémon is great for players that enjoy stealing an opposing Pokémon’s held item.

3 ♔ Darmanitan 🐓

Darmanitan is an odd looking Pokémon with a catch rate of 60 (7.8%). Serio💫usly, this Pokémon looks like it should be fighting Samurai Jack and not other Pokémon. Darmanitan is lacking in Defense, Special Attack, and Special D💫efense; however, its maximum hit points, Attack, and Speed are all extremely high.

Its Attack rating is better than any other Pokémon on this list – by a lot. Zen Mode is Darmanitan’s hidden ability. This changes Darmanitan into its Fire/Psychꦬic-type Zen Mode when its hit points drop below 50%. Darmanitan has three attack moves with a power of 120; Superpower, Thrash, and Flare Blitz.

2 Arcanine

Acanine is a fire-dog Gen I Pokémon with a catch rate of 75 (9.8%). A 75 catch rate is shockingly high considering this Pokémon has stats that are comparable to Victini. Arcanine has amazing Attack, Special Attack, Speed, as well as a respectable amount of hit points. Defense and Special Defense are its worst stats, but they are still higher than most of the other Pokémon on this list. One would think with stats like this Arcanine must be lacking in available moves. Nope…it can learn most of the high-damage168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Fire-type moves available to the other Pokémon on this list. Arcanine really doesn’t have a glaringly negative aspect – other than being vulnerable to Water, Ground, andꦉ Rock-type attacks.

1 Camerupt

Camerupt is possibly the best Fire-type Pokémon in terms of battle effectiveness versus catch rate, which is 150 (19.6%). This Pokémon is only marginally weaker than the other Pokémon on this list. Conversely, Camerupt is one of the easiest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire-type to catch in the series. Camerupt isn’t very fast, but it hits hard and has eꦦnough defense and hit points to give even legendary Pokémon a challenge. Camerupt can also learn Eruption. This devastating Fire-type move has a power of 150 if Cameupt is at full health♏. A lot of Ground-type moves are on it move-list; making Camerupt a deadly opponent to other Fire-types.
