No matter what brought you here, this guide will help you to get a good understanding about the different types of raid battles, what it takes to compete in t💖hem, an🎶d how to win.
What Are Raid Battles?
When you happen upon a Pokemon gym, you may notice or receive a notification that there is a raid battle happening nearby. This is the main way of finding raids. However, you can also be invited to a raid by a friend, even if you are♚ no🐟t at your friend’s location.
At the raid location, there will be a powerful, even sometimes rare Pokemon that is guarding the gym. The goal of these events is for you and the trainers who join you to defeat this creature. However, it will be much more difficult 🏅than a traditio🍃nal gym battle.
Raid battles are separated by difficulty, tiers one-three, five, and Mega Raids. They increase in difficulty as they go up, and will require more people and stronger Pokemon to defeat. Once you defeat them, you will have a chance to catch the Pokemon and will r⛎eceive a number of item prizes to add to your inventory.
How To Compete
In order to compete in any raid battle, you will need a Raid Pass. These passes are garnered specifically for certain circumstances. Traditional raid passes will grant access to tier 1-🌊5 battles, however, you can only have one of these at a time and can only collect one per day🐈. They can be earned by spinning a photo disc at gyms.
Once your traditional Raid Pass is gone, you may be able to purchase an in-game premium battle pass that will allow you to unlock special rewards in Go Battle League and access tiers 1-5. The nice thing about these is that you can hold more than one at a time — the downside is that they are a paid feature.
When you are joining a friend at a gym you aren’t physically at, you will need a Remote Raid Pass to join them.
EX Raids
Specific gyms at certain times will require you to compete in specialized raids called EX Raids using an EX Raid Pass. These happen when you ha🐷ve recently defeated a 🐠raid boss at a gym where one of these specialized raids will take place.
You can have a greater chance of getting a pass for one of these raids by competing in more raiཧd battles at a variety of different gyജms and by earning high-level gym badges.
How To Win
Similar to a regular gym battle, you’ll pick six Pokemon that you believe are best🌱 suited to defeat the boss. Your teammates will also pick six of ♓their own.
Be sure to arrange the team in the best order for defeating the boss. This means that your Pokemon will need to be of a type that you know will do effective damage to the 𝓡boss, 🌌as well as Pokemon that are able to handle damage through its subsequent health pool.
Make sure you have enough healing potions and revives stocked up to keep your team in the fight, and dodge when you can by swiping left and rig🐷ht during the boss&rsquoꦦ;s attacks.
Before you fight, make sure you count on winning. By that we mean, make sure that you have enough berries of your choice to catch the Pokemon wh🦂en you&rsq♎uo;re faced with the opportunity to catch them.
Overall, the more experience you build with raids, the more you will su๊c🦂ceed!
