Until no🅺w this had been kept a secret, and there was little reason to speculate that a female predator would be included since it has almost always been males represented as characters in films and games for over three decades.
“When we first came up with🔜 what this game would be, I knew we had to create a world where this ultimate female warrior would exist too," IllFonic states in their post, "...She is agile, fast, and relentless. She is a huntress without fear and she thrives in the hunt. In the trailer we see her with a weapon that IllFonic created, the Yautja Bow.”
Female Predators have been in graphic novels for about twenty years now, with Aliens vs. Predator/Witchblade/Darkness: Mindhunter being among th꧋e first in 2000. As much of the Predator species is often kept mysterious without specific clarification about their technology or culture, it is inferred that the women and men are of fairly equal levels of skill and power, which falls🍎 in line with the strict hierarchy among the Predator races.
While the inclusion of a female Predator in the game is a good start, it would be absolutely fascinating to see the inclusion of Big Mama, a female far larger than an average male from Aliens vs. Predator Omnibus: Volume 2 or Vagouti from Predator: If It Bleeds. Alternatively, Hashori and Yaquita are two female Predators with some of the best-looking high-t💙ech armor, and they would be great to see.
While we may not see any of these specific ch🌺aracters in the game, it would be reasonable to expect that over time cosmetics paying tribute to some of the deadliest female Predators from the graphic novels to be made available in game, otherwise it would be a missed opportunity to♋ pay homage to characters that already exist.
Finally, since it would be thematically unrealistic to have a human hunting humans, we have li🍎ttle hope of seeing Machiko Noguchi added as a female “Predator.” Noguchi is a human woman who lived with the Yautja clan for well over a year, having proven herself as a capable warrior and responsible for the killing of an Alien Queen. She dons her Predator armor to hunt in several graphic novels, and as great as it would be to see her hunting the Fireteam, it would be awkward since her physical frame would need to be far smaller than any Predator.
For now, the Predator: Hunting Grounds t꧅rial begins on March 27 and lasts through the weekend!
