An insanely underrated game, Prey introduces incredible amounts of detail in its storyline and rich environment. The game doesn't hold your hand. On the contrary, it plops you down in the middle of a Typhon-riddled space station that has fallen into chaos and tells you to survive.
Talos I is filled to the brim with all sorts of secrets and details that often go unnoticed when playing through the game for the very first time.🙈 However, these secrets really give more character to the game and introduce powerful gameplay alternatives. These are some of the best💃-kept secrets of Talos I.
The Red Alarm Bells Are Secret Safe Spots
Early into the game, you might notꦓ pay much attention to small details all around you, but everything can actually be interacted with to a degree. Yes, even those big red alarm bells that you find as early as in Talos I Lobby when you first exit the Neuromod Division.
These alarm bells, when hit a few times with a wrench, will actually open up and reveal secret stashes. There's one to be found near the bathrooms of the Talos I lobby and one inside the museum exhibition room. Later on, they'll be tied 168澳💞洲幸运5开奖网:to a Talos I Smuggling Ring side quest.
The Derelict Shuttle
Talos I is huge on the inside, but it's also massive from the outside. There's so much to discover just by floating around in space, including additional Typhons, hull breaches with dead bodies and valuable loot, as well as an entire derelict shuttle located not too far off from the main station.
The shuttle can be accessed early on, though it's a difficult feat. It's also tied to a quest which begins when you first entire the lounge for pilots in the shuttle bay inside Talos I. But, since Prey is somewhat of an open-world environment, you can get there much earlier if you so please.
Calvino's Secret Neuromods
Following the main quest, you'll very soon find yourself 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the Hardware Labs and more specifically in Doctor Calvino's offices, where you need to repair the Looking Glass servers. There's much more than that in his office, however, so make sure to look around and find his coffee tumbler. It's usually next to the the stairs leading to his office.
Place the tumbler on a small scale on the other side of the room and a secret stash will open up, rewarding you with additional Neuromods. Little p♏uzzles and secrets like this one are in abundance in Talos I, so keep your eyes peeled.
Morgan's Code In The Looking Glass Video
As soon as you exit the simulation, you'll come across a safe. A code was once scribbled on the whiteboard located in the same room, but is now missing. Luckily, once you get to Morgan's offices in Talos I Lobby, you can watch a video recorded by Morgan in the Looking Glass.
Look carefully, as on the left side the very same whiteboard will be located. Only this time, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the code hasn't been smudged away. Now is a good time to return back to that safe and grab the goodies ins🐻ide.
A Poltergeist Will Flush Morgan
If you choose to enhance Morgan with Psionic aptitudes, you can actually learn how to morph into objects just like a Mimic. You can have as much fun with this as you want, and there's even a small easter egg that was added into the game code discovered , with a fun little interaction.
While entering Psychotronics, if you turn yourself into a toilet paper roll with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:your Mimic abilities and conveniently plop yourself down into one of the toilet bowls, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a Poltergeist will appear and actually flush the toilet you're in. An odd yet hilarious little detail that Arkane gifted players with.
The Huntress Boltcaster Can Be Used To Open Doors
When you first discover 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Huntress Boltcaster, you might wonder what in the world this toy gun can be used for. Well, for a variety of things. The best way is actually to grant you access to locations that would otherwise be ⛦near imp൩ossible to reach.
One great example is accessing the Morgue in Psychotronics. While the door to the Morgue apparently does open once an hour wh𓆏en an operator flies through, you could also just shoot at the door button with the Boltcaster through the broken window. This works for countless other similar puzzles as well.
Recycler Charges Can Be Used To Get Rid Of Obstacles
Speaking of puzzles and obstacles, if you choose to not put all your eggs🌠 (Neuromods) in the Leverage basket, Morgan will sometimes be fa𒅌ced with blocked-off entrances with heavy obstacles they might struggle lifting.
Luckily, there's always an alternative route in Prey, and every puzzle has multiple solutions. Using Recycler Charges to clear out heavy obstacles is one fantastic option if you've chosen to neglect 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:your Leverage skill.
A Greater Mimic Can Turn Into Morgan Yu
In Psychotronics, there's a room on the upper floor labs where a Greater Mimic is imprisoned with various objects it can mimic. The default objects include Morgan's family photo and a microscope, but there's also a way to make it mimic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Morgan themself.
If you click the button to release the mimic fast enough and 🌠then run around and crawl into the back of one of the boxes where the items the Mimic will react to are located, the Mimic will📖 actually transform into a super creepy T-posing human doll and just stand there. .
You Can Escape Morgan's Apartment In Several Ways
Morgan's apartment is easily one of the most iconic areas in the game. This fake apartment is where the player begins the game, believing they're simply going about their normal daily life. However, as it turns out, things are not quite as they seem and Morgan needs to break out of the lie, a mission that might be hard to figure out at first.
Many players eventually break the glass to Morgan's balcony to get out, but there are actually other paths. In the hallway outside of Morgan's apartment, you can also break the glass and escape through the aquarium. The ceiling of the apartment can also be broken to reveal it's all just a fake room.
The Helicopter Blades Can Kill You
More on the beginning of the game, that helicopter ride with the reassuring and catchy music will put you at ease initially, but death can come at you as early as this part in the game if you're not careful enough. There's also a secret achievement for this.
If you get close enough to the helicopter blades, they will kill you instantly. It's definitely not recommended, but if you're looking to get all the cool achievements in the game, it's still worth it.
