File this under "absolutely bizarre coincidences," but some fans have found leaked footage of a potential 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Prince of Persia reboot on YouTube. Stuff like this normally happens years after projects get canceled, but the story wouldn'꧅t be all that interesting otherwise. What makes this truly insane is that the footage has been available for eight year🎀s and nobody has noticed.
We're not exactly sure who first noticed this, but VG 24/7 reported the leak this morning and everyone is losing their minds. Ubisoft was apparently not done with Prince of Persia after 2010's Forgotten Sands, but seemingly no one was paying attention. Maybe the influx of Assassin's Creed titles distracted𓃲 us too muꦉch, but this reboot doesn't look all that bad.
Now, it should be noted that users on YouTube can change the date of their videos after upload. There is a chance this footage isn't exactly eight years old. The one thing that clues this⛦ into being somewhat legitimate is ꧂that a comment from Ubisoft technical designer Marc-Andre Belleau was posted to the video back in 2018. You cannot fake comment dates, so we can verify the footage is at least two years old now.
The timing of this just seems too coincidental. Ubisoft recently trademarked a domain for Prince of Persia 6🍌 and now there's leaked footage of a reboot, even if said reboot was from 2012. Could the renewed interest in the series be what led to gam🍬ers finally discovering this video?
From the looks of the footage, Ubisoft wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel here. The aesthetic certainly takes a lot of inspiration from Assassin's Creed, but everything looks incredibly linear. The Sands of Time trilogy came to fruition before open-world titles became mainstream, so Ubisoft was likely trying to r✅eplicate that instead of transforming the series into something else.
What happened to this is what remains to be answered. Were playtesters not happy? Did sales of Assassin's Creed shift focus? Did the reception to Forgotten Sands put the final nail in💙 ﷺthe coffin on any follow-ups? There's so much we don't know other than that Ubisoft could be resurrecting the series soon. Here's hoping.
