Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring , also known simply as Cadence of Hyrule, is a rhythm-based game and is a spin-off game that acts as a combination between two series: Crypt of the NecroDancer and The Legend of Zelda.
This game was released in 2019 on the Nintendo Switch and has a really interesting gimmick: players can only move and attack to the beat of the music that's playing throughout the game. This takes the old school Legend of Zelda games we're used to and puts a whole new twist on them. But ꦐit can be hard to wrap our heads around!

10 🍸 🦋 Get Digging
Many items are dropped by enemies after fighting them. From things like torches and shovels to diamonds, there areಞ a lot of different in-game items that can be picked up simply by battling against the enemies that players face in the✃ game.
But one of the most valuable items in the game, diamonds, aren't just available through beating enemies. These items can also be picked up by digging in𓆉to the ground or into the walls, meaning that players need to stay on their digging game to maximize the diamonds they can find.
9 Permanent Upgrades First🌠 𝓀
Players can take the diamonds that they found whil💟e playing the game in order to get different upgrades or items in the game. There are a ton of options when it comes to what can be purchased with these diamonds, but there are some things that should definitely be given priority by players when they're trying to decide what to buy.
In general, it's best to buy the permanent stuff first. That means when you head to theꦬ diamond shops, you really need to 🅺buy the heart containers first, making your maximum health rise. Then, buy everything else!
8 😼 👍 Stop In The Grasslands
There are a lot of really helpful locations in the game. Some of them are hidden 𓄧while others are pretty easy to find when you're just exploring the game.
One important location is located in the Grasslands. There, the player will find a hut marked by a large eye. If they go inside, they'll met an old woman who can be really helpful to the player in many ways. For one, she sells potions. But even cooler is the fact that, for a small fee, she'll mark an undiscovered du🦄ngeon on ༒your map.
7 Always Get The Hearts ও
Anyone who has ever played any Legend of Zelda game will know how important health is. Getting all the heart containers available in order to h꧋elp max your hearts out and not have to worry about dying in battle against enemies.
There are hearts scattered all over the map and although it may seem like it's not important to grab them all as you're traveling through the game, this is definitely not true. I♊t's important to make sure that you pick up each one that you're able to find to ensure that you keep your health up!
6 Listen𝄹 For Lyrics
We know, this tip seems a little silly. Anyone who has played or is even slightly interested in playing Cadence of Hyrule will know that there's always music playing. The player has to move on the beat of the music, so a tip about liste🌟ning to the music seems like a no-brainer, right?
But one important part of Cadence of Hyrule involves listening to exactly what's going on with the music. If you're exploring an area and start to hear lyrics in the music, look around for a crack or other unusual spot in the wall - there'🐎s likeꦡly a shop nearby!
5 Just Run
With so many enemies around, it can be tough to take all of them on. This is especially true considering the fact that we can only m⭕ove to the beat, meaning that getting our rhythm while s✃imultaneously trying to take on each enemy can be complicated.
But, if you're having trouble with a huge mob of enemies, just run across the map. The enemies will almost always form a single file line, meaning that you can then turn around and take them down one by one. That is so much easier!
4 🧸 Wear Headphones
The Nintendo Switch is a pretty awesome console because of the fact that it can be played handheld, in tabletop mode, or even on a person's TV. While this is great and means that♛ games can be played on the go or on the big screen, there are some games that are more fit to a certain gameplay mode.
When it comes to Cadence of Hyrule, the best way to play is in handheld mode with headphones. Because the music is constantly playing and you're only able to move on the beat, wearing headphones to help you hear the bea🧜t is really helpful and makes it so much easier.
3 💞 Try Fixed Beat Mode
Moving to the beat still got you down? Although the main feature of this game is being forced to move to the beat of the music playing, it can be pretty difficult and isn't easy for everyone to get the hang of. Luckily, if you really dislike this feature, there's an option for you!
In 𓆉settings, you can change your game's mode to "Fixed Beat Mode." Basically, this changes it so that you can move at any time and the enemies will only move when you do. This will change the game from a rhythm game to a turn-based game.
2 🐼 Chests Wi𒁏ll Restock
It's never fun to die in a video game. Losing everything in your inventory and a little of your progress is definitely not a fun experience. Unfortunately, Cadence of Hyrule is like many other games in that you do lose somꦯe of the items in your inventory when you die. You keep some, but a lot of the temporary items are gone each time you respawn.
But, the good news is that a lot of the chests that you find throughout ♓the game will actually reset each time you die and the items will be in them again for you to♚ find!
1 Remember: The Map Is Random 💫
All in all, Cadence of Hyrule is a really fun game. It's a Legend of Zelda game, meaning the fact that it's become so popular is definitely no surprise to any of us. It also means that the replay appeal is definite♋ly there once you get t﷽he hang of the beat system.
But remember, if you choose to replay after beating the game, the map is going to be completely different! You'rel likely to spawn i🐼n a 🧸different place and the areas of the map around you will be completely fresh.
But don't worry, the map won't change while yo🙈u're playing!
