Prototype Could Be Making A Comeback, Claims Focus Group Member

Don't Count On It Too Hard, Though

and , this alleged information comes from a recent focus study group from Activision. Alongside learning more about Black Ops 7, the Redditor was apparently told about a new Prototype gaℱme that's currently in development.

, but Bigbyy claims at the end that another Prototype is being planned with Alex Mercer, the protagonist of the first game and villain of the second, returni🥀ng in the lead role. Like other games in the series, gameplay will apparently involve "shapeshifting, transforming into other people to infiltrate areas" and will be set in New York City.

The New York City claim in particular strikes me as odd since e𒐪very Prototype game so far has taken place th🐽ere. It's been a while, sure, but it's hardly worth noting if it's the same location for the third time in a row.

, who said the info came from a YouGov survey with an NDA that then confirmed features that upcoming games would feature, seemingly including the new P꧂rototype. , but thought it was worth reporting on.

While games have leaked in a similar manner in the past, this one does seem a little far-fetched to believe with anything more than a grain of salt right now. Anyone can say anything over on Reddit and there's no direct proof for the claim right now, whi💧ch is a big one considering how long Prototype has been out of action. For now, it's nice to think about, but not worth gettin⛦g your hopes up too much.
