Ever the fan-favorite among action platform and RPG fans, Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night hit the PlayStation like the Tsar Bomba, and every gamer from here to Japan sat up to take notice. This amazing sequel to the TurboGrafx-CD hit Rondo Of Blood was perhaps the most complex and well-constructed Castlevania game - period.
While its 2D Metroidvania style might fool some into thinking it was the product of a bygone era, Symphony Of The Night was actually a highly influential title that has gone on to influence even today's games, including Ori And The Will Of The Wisps. These days, it has plenty of competition from the likes of Xbox's Forza, but back in the day, it had zero rivals. None!
1 Generic: Alien Resurrection ꦛ
The road to Alien Resurrection's eventual release was long and painful. Not only did it end up dropping on the original PlayStation a full three years after the movie hit theaters, but it landed with alဣl the impact of a pre-deflated whoopee cushio🌞n.
Development was awful, with the game switching style formats several times, causing a portion of the development team to quit in sheer frustration. It lacked the intensity and adherence to source material that Alien Trilogy brought to the table four years prior. Critics weren't overly harsh, but that is of no consequence to a game that failed to make any sort of waves for Alien fans.
