On the one hand that makes sense, but on the other, the console above has clearly had some effort put into its design. Devkits tend to be non-descript boxes as there's no need for them to appeal to anyone since they will never go on sale. Perhaps someone at PlayStation did think a console with room for a slice of pizza was a good idea.
